Avatar f tn sounds like withdrawal symptoms from stopping them.
Avatar f tn It is possible that you will have withdrawal symptoms when you quit taking Percocet. Even if it is for short period of time that you take it. Our bodies and minds have long memories. I had been clean for about a year from taking Roxicodone, when I broke my leg and had to have surgery. I had to take pain pills for a little while. I was not taking Roxicodone, but something much milder.
Avatar m tn I finally had to get my doctor to refill my restless legs meds (non addictive) to get some sleep. If nothing works, your doctor might help. Benedryl or OTC Alteril helps some with sleep issues and you will have them. One hour at a time is all anyone can ask. After 2 weeks it gets a little better and I started to say, One day at a time! Your brain will do all sorts of things to get you to take a pill. I found if I was hungry..the cravings got worse.
Avatar f tn Yes...you'll have withdrawal symptoms. But,more importantly, your liver is probably pretty pissed off right now. You've got a tolerance now. What's your plan?
Avatar f tn I guess my question is, how has everyone used clonidine in withdrawal and is it a bad idea to be taking it with the percocet? It certainly is making me feel worse and is making me feel the withdrawal symptoms almost and Im wasting the percocet since it is having no effect. I am just really scared and dont know where to turn. I am unemployed and need to be looking for a job and with how awful I am feeling physically I just dont know where to turn.
Avatar m tn If you have bathroom issues get some imodium. It is really helpful for that as well as other withdrawal symptoms. It's really important to stay hydrated. You were on a fairly low amount and not for too long so I would think the worst will be over after 3 days. It may be sooner or a bit longer but hang in there. If you go back to pills, it will only get worse and so will the withdrawals. We end up having to take more for any type of relief.
Avatar n tn It is common to wake up with nausea during opiate withdrawal. However, you say you want to get off of percocet too. I'm assuming that you are still taking percocet, are you taking through a doctor as prescriped or off the streets, big difference. And how many are you taking a day??? I know when i was addicted to hydro's and percs my withdrawal would start about 4-6 hours after my last dosage.
Avatar n tn Not all over again but mentally it will set you back...try to get back on track...be sure you catch yourself next time...sometimes u can identify and trigger that may have caused u to use...were u finished with withdrawals when u used?
Avatar f tn I was taking anywhere from 6-12 pills a day depending on the pill. How long does the withdrawal last and what symptoms do I have to look forward too? I already have sweating, anxiety, stomach cramps, tiredness, goosebumps, shivers. So here's the thing, I didn't have any pills all day Sunday, yesterday I had five 5/325 hydrocodones and today 1 hydro. I was trying to tapper down but it's not helping. So what is the worst I have to look forward too.
Avatar n tn They were giving me percocet and I had done medrol packs about 3 times through out since they proved helpful in relieving the inflamation. My doctor assured me that the percocet was safe to take. There are some days i don't need it at all and some where i have to take the directed 1-2 every 6 hours. The nurse midwife i saw recently, expressed some concern that the baby could be born with withdrawal symptoms. I am having my planned c section in 2 weeks.
Avatar f tn If you've been tapering down and using the T4s as well, you may not have felt the withdrawal. Now that you're using less (or are out) you may be starting to feel it. Dizziness can be caused by a lot of things. Dehydration, an inner ear infection, and other things. If it's withdrawal, you'll probably start feeling other symptoms soon. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids, especially water or clear liquids.
Avatar m tn My 25 year old son called me 2 hours ago and told me he has been taking Percocet for the past 2 months. He tried to stop and is having horrible withdrawal symptoms. He is coming to stay with me for the next 4-5 days so I can help him through it. I have no idea what I am up against. He has no insurance and just started a new job so he can't go into any treatment facility. It's up to the two of us. Any advice would be most appreciated.
Avatar m tn what is the difference betweed norco and percocet. please include withdrawal symptoms.
Avatar f tn so withdrawal symptoms and infection symptoms are very similar but one difference is elevated temp with infection. Has anyone else had one of these?
Avatar m tn Hi there and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry it took so long for someone to reply. It can be slow around here on weekends. Hang in there as I'm sure others will also weigh in. You have been on a fairly high dose of Percs for a long time. You managed to do a very quick taper. I would say that you are still going to experience a few days at least of withdrawal symptoms. The "worst" may not be over. Have you ever gone through this before?
Avatar n tn m not trying to be mean or harsh just telling you the gods honest truth. I would def ask the doctor how he figures Percocet is safe for the fetus but oxycodone isn't being they both contain the exact same narcotic pain med.
