Percocet with tramadol

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet with tramadol

percocet

Hey there.....I don't know about percocet but I took tramadol with vicodin before. I take tramadol and my script was running out before I could get it refilled so I took the vicodin to help make what tramadol I had left, last. So, medically I think it wouldn't hurt anything to take them. You just have to be very careful with tramadol! I am in the process of trying to ween off of it and my dr.
Your doctor may add a long acting opioid medication at some point to better control your pain by giving you consistent pain control over a 12 hour period (sometimes longer) versus dealing with the roller coaster effect of short acting opioids.
I have been taking tramadol and percocet for about 5 years now, 240 tramadol a month and 90 percocet a month.originally given for a back condition, but mostly used to feel good.Taking these pills is great,I can work harder, get along better with people and generally feel much better when Im on them.I typically go thru the all the tramadols in about 7-10 days and the percocets last about 5-7 days.
I have been off the percocet for 3 wks but am now on tramadol to help get off of it (actually, thats all i could get my hands on). I had an apt to go back to the dr this morning for my percocet refill and my dr found out i had been going other places. so, she cut me off. now, as of yesterday, i took 15 tramadols per day until today. I took ONE this morning because thats all I had left. That was 4 hours ago. I have a child and husband that neither of them know I'm on pain meds.
I was prescribed Tramadol today as a substitute for percocet. This seems to be some confusing medication. The horror stories have made me a bit fearfull. My situation is this; I was addicted to heroin for nearly ten years and had been clean for the last 6 years. About three months ago I was in an auto accident. I have been suffering terrible neck/spine pain since. Immediately after the accident, my orthopaedic doctor put me on percocet.
I have been prescribed tramadol, to get off of percocet, after years of back pain, and then surgery. my question is, does tram. cause changes in your period? i have had it for two weeks!
I'm bout to give birth I took tramadol yesterday thats not prescribed to me, will the doctor take my baby away if he test my urine?
My first addiction were to vicodin and percocet.. I have detoxed off of both of them. But I will say that by far tramadol has the worst withdraw symptons. I'm still on the tramadol but I have went 3 and 4 days without them and it was bad. My head and eyes hurt. I had bad stomach issues, restless leg at night and bad nausea. When I detoxed from vicodin the wds were not half as bad. I wish you the best and am here for you.
suggested tramadol and i have had a hard time leaving it alone. it acts like and opiate but they can get away with saying its not a narcotic.......... however...............i am a firm believer that if you are an addict who needs help in the pain department..........(because a lot of us do have legitimate pain) you should get help. you have to do what is right for you in your heart...............stay ACCOUNTABLE and HONEST ...........................
Hi I'm new here so pl bear with me..... I've been suffering from chronic neck and back pain for the past 4 years and have had lots of nerve blocks, denervations and botox injections done - nothing has really helped. I've been given Tramadol ER 200mg x twice a day by my Dr and they seem to be working but are making me feel weird/really tired/tinnitus/tearful. Should I keep taking them And how long shall I give them before I know if they are really for me? Thank you all very much.
With the film, it's tough to give exact dosage but I would guess about .25 - .30 per day. Today is day 5 with no suboxone, and day 1 with no Tramadol. Course... the tramadol was only a 4 day ordeal and I learned more about it so stopped taking immediately. Any idea as to how long this lethargy will drag on? I'm self employed and I need to work.
I am going to a dr to prescribe me suboxone next week but in the meantime I was wondering if I were to take the tramadol, could that help with my withdrawal symptoms? Thanks......
I've seen some treatment centers advertise that they use tramadol to help with opiate withdrawal, yet I've also read that taking tramadol during opiate withdrawal can INCREASE withdrawal symptoms. Can someone set me straight on this? Thanks in advance.
Hello Andrew, I'm sure you have probably received replies to your posting by now, but I thought I should let you know about my experience with Ultram (tramadol). I was taking Ultram for about 6 months, right after its introduction, for lower back pain from 2 spinal surgeries. During this time, I was also suffering from depression. I was prescribed elevil (tricyclic antidepressant) along with Ultram. These two meds didn't mix!
I am going to be very careful with it, and your right, I don't know if it will make it any easier, but I've never had so much anxiety as I've had with this Tramadol. The night is the worst because I start getting really anxious about whether I'm going to be able to get any sleep. If I could overcome that anxiety and just put it in the perspective of "well if I don't sleep, it won't kill me.
I use tramadol to taper patients who abuse the meds for the high b/c tramadol won't give most people a high so there is no temptation to abuse. Did you try to taper with the percocet? Tramadol is an opioid but it is not scheduled as a narcotic like hydrocodone or morphine etc. because it has much less potential for abuse.
I have been prescribed tramadol and percocet for back pain for about 7 months. I took 2-4 tramadol 50mg a day and 1-2 5/325 percocet at night. Less back pain caused me to dial back on the pills til I am at 1 of each a day. Last week I did not take tramadol at all and began to feel achy all over and tired. I took the pill. Yesterday, I took no tramadol again and had all the symptoms I see described here--restless all over, unable to sleep, achy, etc.
I take anywhere from 60-100mg of percocet a day. Does any one have any experience with this? I get no high from tramadol so I thought of using it for several days and then taper off of it. I know the is not good to sub one drug for another but I cannot do cold turkey. No one knows about this and I have kids and a job that I cannot miss. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also have Klonopin if that will help! Thanks!
ive been on percocet since march, off and on, i am having a hard time getting off them and staying off them, right now i am having some weird side effects that are not listed like waking up stiff and swollen and really sore hot achy, then i take 2 i feel a little better then 4 hours later i take 2 again then i feel better, im up to taking 8 a day. i need help and advice, can i die? how can i get through the withdrawls without problems? I have tramadol and flexeril to help is that good?
An ER at a hospital is more well equipped to do whatever testing they feel necessary and to deal with your pain. What I must disagree strongly with is about ChadJ suggesting you purchase Tramadol via the internet. It is very dangerous to purchase ANY type of medication from any source other than a certified pharmacy. You never know exactly what you might get and the possibility of getting something that you did not want/need are very high.
I tell you all one thing, percocets make me smoke a lot more than I ever did, that will be one less headache once I wean off some more...can I take tramadol with percocet the last week for the pain? 5mgs of perc with 100 mg of tramadol?
I was on Percocet 10/325mg about a week with 180 pills which lasted about 1 1/2 weeks so i dont know if i will get a double whammy from that. I have been on various pain meds. for about 6 yrs now and want to find out if my pain is coming from the meds and my head or if it's that bad anymore. I was in a ATV accident and had several injuries but have problems with my back and left shoulder mainly. I been to 6 painmngmt, clinics and one pain specialist.
I have been diagnosed with degenerate arthritis in my spine. Like so many people on this site, I am addicted to the percocet. I find myself thinking about it a lot, I always run out early and then get real panicky because I go into withdrawals. It feels like I am dying. I want to get off the meds because it is so hard to get the meds (especially when you take more than you should) but I am scared of the pain I had originally before I started taking pain meds.
but they all contain tylenol///ultracet is tam with tylenol....Ultram is just tramadol///tramadol is the generic name and Ultam is a brand name Trams do have both an AD quality causing increased seratonin/which is the same action as many popular ADs...zoloft, lexapro, prozac paxil, celexa...but it is an intense immediate effect with trams and these other ADs have to build up over time to help depression...
i am in the same shoes you are. im 33 with 3 kids and have been hooked on opiates for 5 years. right now my choice is tramadol only because i can get them so easy off the internet but for alot of money. but i ran out yesterday and have had none today. well the wd are starting a little today. and all i can think about is getting more. you can do this tho and these wd are only temporary. can you take off work? does your husband know your on them?
I am on day 3 now with lortab. I did go thru the tramadol wds ct and they seemed to be worse than what I'm going thru now. that's not to say that this is cake. it took about 7-8 days before i started seeing a difference and about 12 days before I really felt good. Take the hot soaks and the 5htps. 3000mgs of L-Tyrosine along with the B-6 does help with energy. Take the Imodium as much as you need right now. You are at the hump Bud. It gets better from here.
If a person wants to get off of percocet all they have to do is get ahold of some tramadol or ultram. A lot of people don't know this but there something in them that takes all symtoms of sickness away thats how i got off them they really work plus there like drinking 2or3 cups of coffee. and you can go to work with out bieng sick. I promise they really work.
I'm extremely athletic, exercise 6 days a week (which really helps with back pain) and try to not let the pain interfere at all with my family. I still love sex, love my kids and enjoy chasing my wife around the house which leads me to believe that I'm not an addict but... I'm having some stomach discomfort and I haven't had a firm stool in months. I take 8 a day and there's just no way it clogs me up of course after the 1st week that went away.
And alot of those people were or are still in the same boat I was in. I was up to taking anywhere between 10-20 percocet 10mg a day, depending on what I could get that day, I did quit for a few weeks, using saboxens, but I ended up in the same boat again. So this time, I am trying to do it by myself, I keep denying that it was a problem. Someone HELP!!!
I have been reading the posts on here for a couple of weeks, you are all very informative, I hope someone can help with this question. My daughter is now 23, she was in a serious car accident 2 years ago, extensive injuries, but doing much better now. She has a standing script for percocet due to a neck injury. I have recently found out that she is now snorting it.
