percocet

Avatar m tn Donna, I have no experience with percocet....I took hydrocodone, but I can tell you that if you are committed...and it sounds like you are...and you have a plan...and sounds like you do....you will beat this. Lots of people here have had percocet addictions and I am sure they will be along to give support, but I just wanted to say welcome to the forum and hang in there. When you need support, post and someone will help you. Post anyway to let us know how you are doing.
Avatar n tn Not sure why you are taking however I have back pain and when the percocet did not help I took 400 mg of Ibuprofen at the same time with food Good luck D
Avatar n tn How many were you taking and for how long? Definetly panic attacks. My head and sinus backed up alot too. You might want to get some immodium. Ice will help your tendonitis pain. God bless.
Avatar f tn I now only have occasional headaches and take Aleve or Excedrin or Percocet - all of which contain acetametaphin. I have read that it can cause liver disease. Since 75 ALT is not extremely elevated and the Hep panel and liver ultrasound are clear, do I need to be concerned? If so, what do I need to do to get my ALT back into normal range?
1930941 tn?1400107522 .I am 27 days percocet free! Yea! I also in the past was an alcholic. I didn't drink anymore until I tried to quit the percocet. Now I am 27 days free from alcohol and percs. I was taking about 8-10 percs (10-325) for about a year. Before I took Vicodin for 2 years but not abuseing it. I am very happy to be clean but I am suffering terribly from joint pain in legs and headaches. I take Advil for joint pain and if the headache is bad I take Excedrin.
Avatar m tn Hey gang.......today is day 22 off of Percocet, I am about to go to the doctor, I have no desire to get anything narcotic for my pain(herniated discs w/ nerve impingement)........can anyone recommend any non-narcotic/non-habit forming pain medication? I do not want to go through w/d's again......I learned first-hand that taking percocet, as directed for over a year(7.5/325 every 4 hours)can still get you addicted even if you're not abusing it .
Avatar f tn ve tried heating pads, lots of fluids, bed rest, Aleve, and other OTC pain relief. I went to see a new midwife for my last annual about 18 mo ago and forgot to mention it to her, then felt embarrassed to call in about it. The only thing I've found that helps is about 4 Aleve (I know - it's high, 3 used to work for me) that I start taking about 24 hrs before my period hits. Well, did that this cycle and no luck. Massive back pain and shakes.
Avatar f tn Try taking a percocet then 2-3 hrs later take the motrin an d getting longer intervals in between percocet doses. So instead of taking percocet every 4hrs, try every 6 hrs then every 8. Just start weaning yourself off them instead of cold turkey. I had excision surgery (where they literally cut out the endo and surrounding areas and suspected areas) and also a appendectomy and supracervical hysterectomy 2wks ago tomorrow. I've been off all percocet for about 5 days now.
7530804 tn?1398546771 I havent taken any medication while pregnant but woke up feeling like I had been run over. I googled a bit and decided to take an Aleve about a hour ago. I feel fine and my baby boy is moving like crazy, I just wanted to know if anyone else has taken Aleve while pregnant? Or have been told anything by their Dr? Thank you!
Avatar m tn Hi I had 2 surgeries over the last few months and I was put on percocet 5/325 for 4-5 months now. after this first month I knew I was addicted as I was taking 10-12 a day. At the end I was taking 20-25 pills a day. I ran out and decided I wanted to quit and went into pretty heavy withdrawals no sleeping, eating, etc. I told my doctor what I was going through and he gave me another script so I could use them to taper down on. I have them held for me so I don't have full access to them.
Avatar f tn You can take Aleve, taking pain killers now won't affect your Baby. Hopefully you'll feel better soon. I was giving Percocet after I gave birth which is a Narcotic.
Avatar n tn We are all CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other with our own expertise and experiences that we have developed through our own CP Issues. Meloxicam (Mobic) is most commonly used for reducing pain, inflammation and joint swelling associated with different forms of arthritis. It's in the family of NSAID's medications. As far as I know it's not a muscle relaxer. I hope this has been of some help to you...........
Avatar f tn Im taking one percocet 10-325 wih three 300mg of gabapentin every 6hrs.Its not helping with chronic arthritis that has taken over my body, sciatica, carpal tunnel on both hands(had surgery on one already) restless leg syndrome. Also, had knee replacement on one leg(2 yrs ago) and have to get one on the other. What can i use instead? .. I've taken the highest mgs. of percocet and vicodin switching between both and weaning between both. And done that, did that on the cortisone shots.
Avatar n tn I am withdrawing from Percocet 10/325mg. I have been taking them for 8 almost 9 months started at 4 a day and just recently got it down to two a day. Because I have no Insurance and cannot afford another bill after my back surgery. I am scared and feel worse than I ever have in my life. 2 days only and I do not know where to turn I know I do not want Percocet agian ever. How long does this last and please do not tell me weeks..... I do not think I can handle weeks of this.
Avatar m tn I have tried a number of medications including Flexeril, Valium, Lycra, Tylenol, and Aleve in various dosages with no help. Recently a friend mentioned she uses Percocet for a similar problem and that it works for her. I tried a single Percocet when going to bed, slept the night grew and woke up with no spasms. I tried ½ Percocet when going to bed, I did not sleep soundly but woke up with no spasms. One doctor told me he had heard about the use of narcotics for this type of spasm.
Avatar f tn If it is safe for you, take excedrin, if that is not safe for you, you can try aleve, (spelled that wrong). When you take it, if the pain is relieved, then chances are it's rebound pain. There will be some people with no more knowledge on here soon, and they can help more.
Avatar f tn I have recently detoxed from Percocet and codeine and feel like I have no options for pain control now. I have rheumatoid arthritis and as a result of this have a torn Tfcc ligament that now requires surgery. My doctors do not want to treat me for pain because of my addiction so I'm looking up solutions myself. My question is can someone with opiate dependence take the fentanyl patch? Has anyone been in this situation!
Avatar f tn I have withdrawn from oxycotin and percocet before. Once past the physical part, dealing with my own brain has always been the hardest. I want to stay clean and I probably need professional medical help. I have no insurance. I'm going to start going to NA again. Anyway anyone who's out there dealing with the same issues, good luck. Stay strong. Oh and the last post made me laugh. I'm a redhead too and my tolerance is thru the roof. Lucky me.
Avatar m tn t fill my prescription because it was too early. Anyhow, I pretty much begged and pleaded with the nurse to release my scrip but she said no. So I was basically forced to withdrawal. I have been clean 5 day and feel great. Really. I felt crappy for the first three days but I have been able to hide and push myself to shower and do the usual everyday. Probably because I have kids. In order to help the WD effects, I took whatever I had in the med cabinet... Imodium, Ativan, Gabapentin (sp?
Avatar f tn Has anyone been experiencing with middle and upper back pain with lyme. It feels very achy and my legs are so painful, I can hardly walk these days. It used to be just my legs and now my back feels terrible today...any thoughts guys??
Avatar m tn Hi guys! I have a lot of chronic pain problems with my knee, back and foot. I have been on all sorts of meds in the past, including vicodin and percocet. My orthopedic Dr. told me before I could mix tylenol with advil and it would equal a pain pill without the narcotic effect. I don't remember how many of each to take and how many hours apart to take each of them. Is this safe? I would rather take these then go back on pain meds! Thanks!
Avatar f tn t feet like i need a pill but I took an Ativan and three Aleve. Also took some Promethazine with codeine to help me sleep. Hope that enough to get me threw night. slight headache and body feels strange. God i hope this works. Well im going back to bed, work tomorrow.
454371 tn?1221297385 Yes it does, I found out around two years ago when I tried to take a percocet, which was given to me from my dentist, it did nothing, so I just gave up & took aleve, I still have that script, & have no desire nor need to take em, I,d say thats not to bad for someone detoxing off 2mgs of methadone.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone, just wondering what I can expect & how long going cold turkey from 20 mgs. of Percocet per day? Been doing this for darn near a year now & am at the end of my rope - broke, no job, no medical insurance &feeling hopeless! Just wanted some feed back, tips on anything to make the withdrawals easier, how long will this last? I've read some older threads here & it seems there are some caring , educated people posting. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!
