My husband and I are both permanently disabled and are on the same medication, Tylox. I get 6 a day and he is on 8 a day. I have been on pain meds since an auto accident in 2002 and he has been on them just as long if not longer. I have watched him suffer many times from running out of meds a week after getting his prescription and now he is, again, going through the withdrawals. Month after month he runs out early and asks me for some of mine or has to go find some elsewhere.

My friend who quit hydros with me has been prescribed tylox for pain....she said she does not get a buzz from them and we thought originally they were codeine...i googled it and it is 5 mg of oxycodone with tylenol in it as well...we are both nurses and have given tylox out to patients over the years...just never stopped to look up the ingredients although of course we knew it was a narcotic...looking back, i remember having tylox before a long time ago for pain and it just made me sleepy.

t have had any kind of withdrawal going to Percocet from Vicodin. Whatever occured was unrelated. Percocet is stronger than Vicodin. Try not to over think this. It will be what it is...it won't be the worst thing you'll go through. Just not pleasant. It's truly like having the flu...

I am having kidney stones and the doctor put me on Percocet and told me to stop the Norco..Is Percocet stronger than Norco? The stones are killing me.

I had(it is now gone) a script for tylox. I took a couple of my mother-in-laws lortab the other day. Does anyone know if a probation urine drug screen will be able to tell the difference between the two opiates? I know the tylox is oxycodone and the lortab is hydrocodone and both med contain acetaminephen(sp).

Has anyone been prescribed percocet while pregnant? If so, how was your baby? I'm paranoid to take it.

I have on going pain in my uterus and lower back pain every day.. i cant function like this plus I take percocet Tylox and it doesn't help me. Plus i take 800mg ibuprofen. Should I call my OBGYN to see what else they can do????

I personally did not have mood changes in a bad way. My insurance stopped paying for brand oxycontin so I was switched to Methadone for pain management. My mood definitely changed on those. It was awful. So I went back to the oxycontin and pay out of pocket. We all react differently so you very well could be reacting to the oxycontin. However taking a medication and having to take more than what is prescribed is not good for you long term.

Yeah, I don't have the tolerance that most people here have. The longest I have ever been on pain meds is about 5 weeks when I really hurt my back and could not move...had to call 911 and they ended up kicking my door down. :) My sciatic pain is pretty bad but I'm sure my pain is nothing like others on here are suffering. I took a clorazepate about 7, my other meds about 8:30 and the hydrocodone about 10:00. I'm still pretty buzzed. The 10mg hydro has always done me pretty good.

I am not sure if those medications would test positive for Morphine, but they would definitely cause him to test positive for narcotics.

hey maybe you can tell me what would be good to take for pain I had ADR surgery 4 years ago, since then they have been switching my meds around and I want to stop taking anything with Tylenol in it. They have me on 30 mg oxycontin, twice daily, 10/325 percocet 6 a day, soma 4 times daily and xanax 2 mg for anxiety. What are my options for the breakthrough pain, that is what I am taking the percocet for and I need to stop with the Tylenol already enough is enough.

Ive been taking percocet on n off for 5 years. More on than off. I use to subsitite with norco, 10mg when id run put pf my 30 month supply of 120 after 2 weeks. I try to taper, and it helps. I recently went up to 6 a day of 10/325. O have 3 left with one ready to inhale for the am. I am coming out of a drug imduced psychosis episode. I've gotten them before, but this was the worst. Im taking 2 mg xanax which has brought me back almost 99%.
