I did used to take lortabs or percocets if I couldnt find the oxys. I have been looking up information about these drugs because my grandmother has chronic back pain and she has to take percocets for pain. My family knows about my oxy addiction so when they found out that percocets have oxycodon in the they freaked. I tried to tell her it ok bc she is taking it for the right reasons and not abusing pain killers like I was.

But I have gotten to taken sometimes 20 Lortabs a day or 20 Percocet a day..depending on the say.. But I want to stop taking this Lortabs and Percocets...The withdrawals are awful...AWFUL...!!! I have to work everyday and trying to come off these and be withdrawaling cold tuckey and trying to function without them is impossible its seems...can someone that has done SubOxone explain how it works? From what I get...I go to one of the doctor's that can presribe it..
it then I left my husband for good, was still messing wit the pills but nothing like before but then I was in a car accident and fell down a flight of wooden stairs and within 6 months of each other, I told the dr I had issues with lortabs so the idiot go es me Percocet 7.5 two pills , every 6 hours and 10gs of methadone e every 6 hours. So I'd take all the methadone at one time n never really took my Percocet, traded off for more methadone and was up to 50 or 60 mgs for the last ,5 yrs.
A LORTAB is basically Vicodin (hyddrocodone), whereas a PERCOCET is a more natural opiate, also called oxycodone. Because oxy is less synthetic, it tends to be a bit stronger. Both meds contain the opiate (either hydro or oxy) and acetaminophen (tylenol).
Both are habit forming when used improperly, or for long periods of time.

they switched me from lortabs to perc 7.5s the lortabs were 10/325 4 times a day and ive been on them for at least 4 yrs I have ms and degenerative disk disease. I just quit taking the lortabs ct because they locked them up at the clinic. I had a few at the house foe energencys in case of bad weather or a late dr appointment. if I don't take them I cant work because of pain.
is it harder to withdrawal from methadone vs. withdrawaling from lortabs? i was taking 10-15 lt's a day. i am not taking anymore at all. today is the first day i havent taken any. but i will be taking 30mg methadone for only a week, then i am going cold turkey. will it be easier withdrawaling from the week of methadone than it would be to just quit now and withdrawal from the lortabs?
Hi! I'm new here and this site is so supportive, so i have a question... I've been taking b/n 15-20 lortabs or percocets for about 18 months now... and i was wondering... i've decided to go cold turkey tomorrow... but because i was taking SO MUCH of the pain pills... should i try to give myself at least one or two a day?? or will that just make the process longer?? thanks...

Fentanyl is a stonger form of an opioid. Opiate and opioid mean the same thing: Opiate is an adjective while opioid is a noun. Percocet is an opioid as is fentanyl. They are synthetic which means they are man made and not derived from a plant.

s (my doc of choice) so instead of having him call into wallgreens where i know they fill lortabs with watsons, i had him call publix where they filled it with malinckradt pram. they say its genric for lortabs 10/500. i did this because i have had these hydro before and they dont give me the buzz the watsons do. so i figured if im not getting the buzz i could taper down a little easier.this was my plan have surgery, recover, no more pills...
Im only 29 and have been on pain pills first lortabs then morphine then oc's now methadone for 2 years. I was in a car wreck that i should have died in when i was 17 years old and dr's started me on opiods. I just want to detox and get back to 2 maybe 3 percocet 10's a day. to me thats better than 100 mg's of methadone everyday.
Hi and Welcome! Are you looking for support to stop an addiction to percocet or some support with going thru the withdrawals until you can pick up your script in a few days? There is one comment that I read that scares me is when you said "I love the percocets they take the pain away and I feel like I can function". Dont let your mind get wrapped up in that feeling. Thats how addiction to these pills starts inoccently enough.
I am 5 months pregnant and i have some minor back pain i am too afraid to talk to my doctor about prescribing me lortabs or percs..... So i asked my boy-friend to ask his sister to pretend to be me and see if i can get them.... Should i start taking this drug? will it effect my baby? please give me straight up advice!!
Hey you are not on too much for your back just like me however I have been playing with lortabs for 4 years I am going thru a tapering down and will maybe drop it all today...It took me about 4 to 5 days to feel better still having sleeping problems however I would rather not sleep than deal with false feelings of this stuff and stigma. My back needs a fusion I have been told.
Has anyone been prescribed percocet while pregnant? If so, how was your baby? I'm paranoid to take it.
