Percocet vs darvocet

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet vs darvocet

percocet

Avatar n tn I wanted to say that you are ok to use the ativan and darvocet together. No problem. The darvocet may disappoint you as oppossed to the percocet for pain relief. Sounds like the doc felt it was time to get away from the strong stuff for a short while. May be quite right. Wont be good if you wish to use a narc for pain relief and cant find one.
731137 tn?1231482514 I have been diagnosed with severe fibromialgia about a year and a half ago. I am seeing a rheumotologist and he has me on amytriptolyn and darvocet. I have been doing fine but now I am getting immuned to the darvocet. He refuses to try something else and will not prescribe an increase in dose. He is beginning to treat me like I am a nuisance. I mean my friends say that trying something different could help.
413886 tn?1203607351 Hello all, just a quick question. Is there any difference, as far as wd's, between oxy's and hydro's. I've heard that the hydro's are less aggressive. Now I know that neither are rainbows and butterflies but I wanted to know if any of you had an opinion on this. After a car accident 4 years ago I went through percocet wd's could turkey. Worst 2 weeks of my life!
Avatar f tn if you want to pm me, please feel free. not too many darvocet addicts on here. mostly vicodin and percocet addicts. alot of people think that darvs aren't that bad to come off of. they are. i will help you in any way i can. good luck.
Avatar n tn Can anyone help? Can I get off Hydro's by taking Darvocet? If so, how many Darvocet's can I take, not to be sick?
Avatar n tn Those compounds are much smoother than the darvocet. The darvocet has an opioid with a much more different chemical structure than other opioids but it is similar to strength to codeine (weak opiates). The first couple of times I took dravon and darvocet I was terribly nauseous! I never though an opiate could make me throw up, I know nausea is a common side effect but I've never had it with any other opiate. Most of this discontinuation of darvon 65 is all money and politics.
475300 tn?1312423126 I'm just here to offer my support, I too have fibromyalgia and have become addicted to painkillers in an effort to control my pain. I can't offer any ideas on the drugs you mentioned as I've never heard of them other than on this board. I don't know if its because I"m in Canada? not sure...I know there's many diff meds that aren't available here. The post to you above mentioned acupuncture for chronic pain...I'm currently looking into that as well.
Avatar m tn Oxycodone also has an option without Tylenol. it is available in a 5 mg strength so this may be an option too. You need to discuss this with your doctor and ask him what options he/she can offer. I would highly suggest not going in and asking for a specific drug, this raises huge red flags. Just speak to your doctor and inform them that the Darvocet is not controlling the pain and that your concerned about the Tylenol content on a daily basis and they will adjust your medicines accordingly.
Avatar f tn I posted earlier asking bout darvocet helping with percocet withdrawals and I replied under a different name I didn't realize that u was on another acct the acct I made a mistake and posted under was abritt121222 which is actually my roomates acct and I don't know if any of y'all remember talking to him or not but he is now almost two months clean and doing great and he is the one that told me u should come on here because it helped him so much to talk to other ppl but I didn't r
Avatar m tn Fentanyl is a stonger form of an opioid. Opiate and opioid mean the same thing: Opiate is an adjective while opioid is a noun. Percocet is an opioid as is fentanyl. They are synthetic which means they are man made and not derived from a plant. Good job on getting off the Percocet!
599170 tn?1300973893 Now surgeon has upped my vicodin to vicodinHP 1 tab every 6 hrs,,I had asked if oxycotin or percocet would be a better choice he said no, they are bothe too addictive,,like vidodin is not I know it is,,,Im just curious.
Avatar f tn ve had severe w/ds since the first day of no perc even w the darvocet. Threw away the rest of the darvocet cuz I want out. I jus wana know when this will end I guess. I prolly effed up by takin the darvocet n not jus stoping huh? Well I'm the type of person who works when dying n I've been workin a 6 day strech. Its killin me. I've taken 3 immoidum pills in the past 2 days but nothing else... what helps? I can't do tynol anymore EVER! I've takin it soooo much in the past yr.
1497103 tn?1289007172 hi all... i have been taking darvocet for chronic pain for about 3 years now. though i admit, i enjoy the way the drug makes me feel more than the relief from pain that i get. i always run out of my prescription early. i get refills for 6 months and i will usually go through them with a month left to go till i can get more. well, now i've gotten myself in a bind. i had surgery a month ago.. for which i was prescribed even more, stronger pain killers...
Avatar f tn t have had any kind of withdrawal going to Percocet from Vicodin. Whatever occured was unrelated. Percocet is stronger than Vicodin. Try not to over think this. It will be what it is...it won't be the worst thing you'll go through. Just not pleasant. It's truly like having the flu...
Avatar m tn I am having kidney stones and the doctor put me on Percocet and told me to stop the Norco..Is Percocet stronger than Norco? The stones are killing me.
702286 tn?1239011660 I am about to begin a cold turkey detox at home from darvocet and percocet. the darvs are perscribed. the percs i buy because i ALWAYS eat my pills up in just a few days. got any pearls of wisdom for the LONG TERM pill head?
Avatar f tn Have you ever been given darvocet or hydrocodone? What about a muscle relaxer like zanaflex or flexeril? I use a combo of darvocet and 1 of the 2 muscle relaxers (zanflex during the day and flexeril at night) and that provides enough relief to allow me to function.
Avatar f tn My parents have a constant supply of pain pills all around their house, so I went from Percocet, to Darvocet, to Vicodin. I got a Rx for Norco and have been taking two every 4 hours. I quit those and since Dec. 13th I've been taking Darvocet and Vicodin constantly. My husband has been so supportive, stayed with me through all the Ultram stuff, gets me through all this but now is getting really sick of the yo-yo-ing. I pretty much hate myself and can't seem to get a hold of this.
233622 tn?1279334905 m taking--they are very aware--and they keep prescribing because my breakthrough pain is unbearable. Like the Darvocet, Percocet doesn't do much for me and I am concerned about how much acetominophen flows through my body every day since I'm also a heart patient and therefore, take statin drugs for cholesterol, and all the acetominophen and statin drugs can damage the liver.
Avatar n tn Yes, it will be. Although Darvocet is still an opiate, it is a very, very mild one. Kinda like Tylenol with attitude. So you should have any easier time with the withdrawals, but withdrawals none the less. Hang in there, sounds like you're ready to do this.
