Percocet upset stomach

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet upset stomach

percocet

I would take them Sunday morning then see how long I can go before the pain overwhelms me . I don;t get upset stomach or some of the other things I've heard about just a lot of pain . What should I do ?
5 - 5 mg and now take about 7 - 10 mg, but am worried because the bottom right portion of my stomach has been hurting the last couple days. I haven't taken any percocet lately and don't plan on doing so, if my insides have gotten messed up can they heal themselves with some rest?
I don't think you should have any real Physical issues. Your Stomach may feel very upset - and u may frequent the Bathroom. Your MD may even prescribe some Valium to help calm your nerves. Otherwise - you can taper - but I feel with Percocet - that probably wont really help....
I've gone a week or close to two weeks without taking any and I haven't experienced any symptoms associated with withdrawal at all. No upset stomach, no fever, no shaking, except for the pain, I didn't even want to take another. I think it's because my dosage has been relatively low. I'm sure she'll be fine, I'll talk about it more with my doctors. I was just curious if anyone else had gone through this with similar dosages. Thanks again.
Long story short I am 47 hours into a cold turkey quitting of Percocet...anywhere from 35 to 50 mg a day. I tried tapering but no self control. So here I sit feeling like hell. Fatigue and diarrhea are the worst of it. I was addicted for four years. Can anyone tell me how much longer I will feel like this?
You are probably gonna have wd symptoms for 5 to 7 days or maybe less If you've been on them a couple months and never had other major wd before you may have get over it quicker. Expect headaches, sleeplessness, stomach issues. Basically a bad case of the flu. That being said, u can get through it! The longer u wait the longer it lasts! Get some vitamins, OTC sleep aids or melatonin and take hot baths with Epsom salt. That helps the first little bit. Even 1 pill will set u back at square 1.
I am on day 3 fighting the devil. The chills, upset stomach, RLS, you name it I got it. How long before this subsides. I have been taking 12 10/325 per day the last two years or so. When will the withdrawls stop?
But if I can stay at a half to a whole fir a few I'm making progress. Wds are there. Upset stomach. Rls. I basically wait until rls and pain kicks in so bad that I can't take it anymore. At first it was 6 hours. Then 8 hours. Now up to 15 hour intervals. I hope I'm doing the right thing here. I'm still getting wds. But I can handle them fir now. Oh well. So there it is. Appreciate everybody's input and help b4. Md.
One of the common side effects of percocet is nausea & vomiting. It is possible your stomach is still feeling the effects of 2 days of vomiting; however, only your doctor would be able to diagnose why this is happening to you.

I have suffered excruciating stomach pain for 3+ years and am able to function successfully at 10 - 14 Percocet per day. I work, am productive, and am generally liked and respected by my co-workers. I get upset about the rate of my usage every month and quit taking them. Withih a day I can hardly walk or sit at my desk, and am virtually worthless to my self and my co-workers, who depend on me to do my part to help make the whole thing work.
I have been taking percocet for about 2 years now, it started off as doing a 5mg every now and then for fun, then i started snorting them, because i found it didnt upset my stomach that way,..
I was just switched yesterday from 5-6 Percocet 5mg to Fentanly. My stomach can not take the percocet, vicodin or any other oral narcotics anymore. I had an endoscopy done 2 months ago and they did not find anything wrong in my stomach. I end up going to the ER 1-2 times a month with severe stomach upset where I am in tears and barley walking. I have nerve pain in the left side of my neck and arm.
percocet 10/325, oxycodone extended release 20 mg. I started taking more and noticed that if i just take a lot every day, I don't ever get a migraine, at all. So I'd say I'm taking btween 80-100 mg. total a day. Last week I tried to stop, because I am getting close to my due date and don't want to have a baby born addicted. Well the withdrawals were awful.
I have constant severe pain in the lower right hand side of . I have been taking 1 percocet pretty much everyday in the afternoon (I can't take it during the day because I work) for almost 3 months. I go to a pain clinc where they put me on Neurontin which makes me too tired to work and tried Bio feedback which didn't work for me. The Percocet helps the pain but I feel I am addicted.
You don't say how long you were on the percocet for, but if you were on 4 a day then the symptoms of stomach upset, etc may be withdrawal from the percocet! You should definitely contact your doctor and let him know how you are feeling and that you are not getting the relief you were before. Good Luck and keep us updated!!
i have been taking roughly 12-16 lortabs or percocet 5's for the last 10 months. i could use some suggestions on what to do/take to ease the withdrawal symptoms. i started taking a wide spectrum multivitamin today, using imodium every 6 hours, advil for aches, drinking a TON of water, and taking hot baths. i feel like this is a good starting point, but would like to know if anyone else has had success with anything else. i don't have leg pain on RLS.
Had my wisdom teeth pulled. Was on percocet for one week and did not experience chest pain. Mid Feb: Chest pain returns and regularly wakes me up in the middle of the night. I begin to experience sharp adbominal pain and frequent burping. I test positive for H. Pylori and am slightly anemic, other blood tests to show liver, gall bladder, and pancreas function all come back normal. Chest x ray also appears normal. Late Feb: Start taking the prevpac.
and weigh about 150lbs - is there something in my system that doesn't allow the Percocet to do what it is supposed to do? Or is there a secret that perhaps i don't know about......I also was prescribed 600mg of Motrin but unfortunately had a slight allergic reaction to that and was told to stop it. I am extremely allergic to naprosyn and had major hives, facial swelling, and breathing difficulties last time I took that....

w/ lymph node tumors pressing on a nerve that went down to my left testicle, then joint pain and neuropathy from the two different chemos, then lower digestive pains from the radiation, then a couple of bouts w/ sciatica, then 2 car crashes a few months of each other (neither of them my fault whatsoever), so now a herniated disk continues to rest and/or leak on a nerve that cannot be rectified via surgery due to the original posterior lumbar fusion - Medical Fixes, you got it - Opiates...
You can, and these are ranked in no particular order,... 1) Go cold turkey. Expect three or more days of intense hell, a bad upset stomach, headache, body aches, restless leg, little sleep, etc. This may be the quickest, but the hardest. 2). Tapering. Take less and less per day, till you are down to just half a pill or so a day. I still believe you will have some withdrawals, but probably not as bad. I can't do this as I don't have the willpower. If I have them, I take them.
The first bunch I purchased seemed to be the same, but now I am finding that the ones I buy from this person seem to be weaker and are making my stomach upset. They are generic and don't have either the name or the strength on them. I am from Canada and the generic ones here have tec. on one side and then are scored on the other...
After some research, I have found a lot of people suffer from Acid Reflux and GERD from Ambien but I really haven't seen anything about a constant, upset stomach which very little vomiting. And I also worry about how long I have been on the Ambien which has been over a year now, and am just now starting to have issues? That is what I have had going on for weeks now....
I have been taking Nexium for months now after having been tested with stomach inflammation. Since taking Nexium, I have not been having upset pain in my stomach as I did nearly every day. I am feeling better.
My friend came over, who is also recovering from an addiction to percocet. On the way over she called me and asked me if I wanted to split a percocet with her because she really wanted to buy one. I told her that I was on day 5 of not taking anything and she felt bad for asking. She came over and we talked about withdrawing and how our brains work during this process. It's nice having someone to talk to whose been through this whole thing.
