Common Questions and Answers about Percocet side effects stomach

percocet

Type that or "normeperedine" and you will see what we mean. Demerol is about half as effective if taken orally vs IV. IV is supposed to give one nice feeling, but you don't want to try and find out orally. I would imagine it would give a buzz, but it is dangerous. I can have this girl email you if you would like and she can tell you about what happened to her. If it is taken exactly as directed and for a minimal time, it should be fine.
That is something many of us have experienced first hand, and is one of the many wonderful(NOT) side effects of oxycodone, and opiates in general. Hell i remember if someone even looked at me funny at the grocery store, i was ready to clobber them; and truth is they were probably just going to say hi. As far as other side effects, well of course there is the liver which you mentioned and the kidneys.
It is my opinion that you need to speak to your doc regarding the side effects of the Percocet. Yes, Percocet has acetamenaphin in it, but that can aggitate the stomache and the liver. My MAIN worry is the tongue swelling and raw sensation. I do not know lots about withdrawl symptomology, but I am familiar with allergies. I am worried you are having moderate reactions some medication/ or less likely a food that you are taking in.
Hi....I just had an issue with Gabapentin...I have IBS and was on Miralax to help and it was working...until I took the Gabapentin.....I had one heck of a time getting regulated again..... Time frame.......almost 2 months to get back on track after stopping the meds. And may I add...I was on the Miralax the whole month that I took the gabapentin. May I ask Y u were rx'd it?...maybe another rx will work better.
One of the common side effects of percocet is nausea & vomiting. It is possible your stomach is still feeling the effects of 2 days of vomiting; however, only your doctor would be able to diagnose why this is happening to you.
(The drug was still heavily in my system and I experienced no side effects.) Day 2) I began to feel very tired, my stomach hurt like I had a stomach virus. I also had my first bowel movement which didn't happen regularly while on the percocets and was also black in color (very scary). By the evening I was stricken with bouts of black diarrhea. I then began researching forums of withdrawl side effects to learn what to expect. None prepared me for the next few days.
I am also still experiencing pain. Will these side effects go away or should I call my Doctor now, versus waiting till my next appointment which is about 3 weeks away?
ive been on percocet since march, off and on, i am having a hard time getting off them and staying off them, right now i am having some weird side effects that are not listed like waking up stiff and swollen and really sore hot achy, then i take 2 i feel a little better then 4 hours later i take 2 again then i feel better, im up to taking 8 a day. i need help and advice, can i die? how can i get through the withdrawls without problems? I have tramadol and flexeril to help is that good?
I have read on this forum that some people do not agree that this medication works or that they have had side effects but so far I have not had problems with them.Again I have only been taking them for six days but so far they are working for me.Wishing the best.
Yes, but you already know that. Itching is a side effect to these drugs. The acheiness could be from low magnesium, potassium & or calcium. Or w/ds if it is many hours after a dose. Pain does actually increase on the meds. It's hard to believe but it is true. You mentioned other ways to manage pain. This is so tough. If you can find a chiropractor that practices the B.E.S.T. technique. I would highly recommend it. There are things like neuro-feedback, acupuncture etc..
I have constant severe pain in the lower right hand side of . I have been taking 1 percocet pretty much everyday in the afternoon (I can't take it during the day because I work) for almost 3 months. I go to a pain clinc where they put me on Neurontin which makes me too tired to work and tried Bio feedback which didn't work for me. The Percocet helps the pain but I feel I am addicted.
because after ears of taking methadone and clonazapam, they are no longer working at all and have started giving me every side effect listed on the inserts of the drugs themselves, I was given the methadone by a pain clinic the same one that I have an appointment with in the coming month, and the clonazapam was suggested by 3 psychiatrist for my anxiety disorder and to help with my sleep problems. I told this doctor that I have a hiatal hernia and reflux, and that when I take NSAIDS I get sick.
all these meds seem to have the same rotten side effects. im now on zoloft to take edge off, and oxy 30mg 2x/day to manage pain and percocet for breakthru pain. unfortunately, i think this is my life and i am trying to accept that the pain will be a part of my life; i may never work again or play with my kids, but this must be my cross to bear.
However, I find the morphine is not as effective in helping me with my pain level and the side affects from the morphine are severe headache, stomache upset, tired then restless at times, eyesight affected, and just don't feel good or like me. I want to talk to doctor about switching back to my other medicine because it was helpful and I did not have all the other side affects like I do from the morphine sulfate er. Any other's have this problem or simuliar situation?
I too had a monster addiction to percocet,,what you are experiencing is the normal withdrawal side effects coming off them,,symptoms can begin within 12 hours from your last dose and consists of restless legs,,crawling outta skin feeling,,sweating,,diarrhea,,shaky feeling,,depression,,emotional outbursts from anger to crying all of a sudden and nausea/vomiting,,stomach pains,,and flu like symptoms,,stuffy head,,sneezing and runny nose.
At this dose I should not be dependant . It takes about 12 hours to start feeling withdrawl . Pain come sooner . The only side effect I have is low sex drive . I was very scared to be dependant . Be sure you stick to doc orders . And ween down 5 mlg. every three days . when you want to stop . I've had 4 discectomys lower spine lots of nerve damage .Along with Fibromyalgia I will be on these probably my lifetime .
Percocet (oxycodone) to Fentanyl is a downgrade but may be a more effective way to treat pain. The potential for abuse or dependence is greater with the Percocet. The side effects mentioned are rare and fentanyl or Duragesic is a very effective way to treat Chronic pain, especially in the elderly.
How many percocet do you take a day? Tylenol ingredient doesn't hurt my stomach (yet), although I've only been on pain management for 4 years. I don't understand why doctors are so hesitant to prescribe oxycontin (or oxycodone), if it would save someone from possible liver damage as a result to taking a narcotic/APAP combination pill for years. Why is this? Does the oxycontin have tylenol in it? I'm a little confused about these pain meds.
Take the clonidine as directed. It may make you feel lethargic, but that's about the only side effect. The best thing to do is exactly what you're doing. Just stop the pills, flush any remaining and get it over with! You will be fine for your vacation if you don't take any more pills! You're doing great!
What concerns me for anyone taking opiates that enjoy any of the side effects such as euphoria and energy is that they miss it when they stop. Even if they weren't abusing them and felt fine walking away from them. That's how we all got started and in time, which could be years, such as my experience, I started enjoying them too much, then wanted them all the time. That want turned into need and then a full blown addiction. Started finding ways to get them.
Percocet and oxycontin have absolutely NO effect on me whatsoever! Then I started on the vics..well you know the same old story we all have! Strange how that works, though...
i have been taking roughly 12-16 lortabs or percocet 5's for the last 10 months. i could use some suggestions on what to do/take to ease the withdrawal symptoms. i started taking a wide spectrum multivitamin today, using imodium every 6 hours, advil for aches, drinking a TON of water, and taking hot baths. i feel like this is a good starting point, but would like to know if anyone else has had success with anything else. i don't have leg pain on RLS.
anyway now he was taking so many that he was getting sick. So hes throwing up and always has an upset stomache and then he came across percocets, they didnt hurt his stomache so much so he asks the dr for them and of course he gives them to him.
Have you thought of suboxone? I'm not sure what the side effects are, or if they'd even give it to you but an addiction specialist will certainly know the best way for you to detox. Suboxone is a good med. if you use it sparingly and if you aren't on it for very long (it can be tough to detox from if you take it a long time). It has buprenephrine a combination of that and something else, a small amount of narcotic pain med that will help you safely withdrawal without any symptoms of withdrawal.
I was able to get a pretty large amount of percocets recently and I think that since I know how many I have, I am taking more and more since they are there. The main side effects that I have noticed so far is itching (just general itching, anywhere on my body, more specifically on my face it seems like) and sweating. Does anyone know of any long term effects that this could be having on my body? Is this the kind of pill that is hard on your kidneys and liver to take?
But as it came harder to stay clean, I went back and re-read everything about suboxone. I read the side effects, and stories from both sides the good ones and the bad ones. I researched as much as I could on the drug suboxone. I looked at it again and the possibilities for me to get clean were far greater with suboxone then without it. I decided it was something I needed to try. I called on Friday and mad appt.. for Monday.
I am 19 years old and I was Diagnosed with Leukemia in January of 05 shorty after starting treatment my side effects was horrible knee pain due to the drug I take called Gleevec for my Leukemia. Doctor pecribed me PERCOCET (Oxycodne 5/325) TEC 2 every 6 hours. I see a lot of people get addicted to this drug so I was worried.
I beg to differ, reason= you could taylor studies to find out the real numbers, it is true you would see more side effects but you might save a lot of lives, but then, everyone might lose money by not getting enough new drugs to market. Could one make a case for doing this. Yes.
