OK, here's the "strange one" of the group. I have taken Vicodin for 4 years. It only makes me "grumpy" at the end of a day when I have over done my limitations and I am hurting and absolutely nothing works to ease my pain. My wife takes 5mg percocet (as prescribed) for chronic pain daily...she has noticed a marked decrease in her vision since doing so and I'd like to know if any users have had similar reactions..she only has vision in one eye anyway and doesn't need to jeopordize that. Of course her doctor told her "no" and also haze her taking Ibuprofin...she was talking to the pharmacist earlier today who told her DON'T DO THAT...

I filled the script and the pharmacy gave me the generic Watson oxycodone, the side effects were awful cottonmouth, nausea, itching, sweating after a week of that I called my doctor and she prescribed brand only which was much better on the side effects but not on the pain I followed the directions 1 pill did nothing at all, then on my break I took 2 and that was ok for a couple of hours. The pain gets worse as the work week goes by.

Gabapentin is a drug that has many adverse side effects. I would question the sanity of any physician that prescribed gabapentin to help with percocet withdrawals. But that's just me. Go to the PDR (physician's desk reference) and look up the established side effects of gabapentin.

t think the the Erythromycin would have caused this type of reaction with Percocet. It sounds like side effects from the Percocet. It's possible that since you broke them in pieces it got absorbed faster in your body.

I have been taking vicodin ES 750mg 90 tablets a month for the past 2 years due to my bad knees. I was recently switched over to the percocet 5/325 my body was becoming tollerant to the vicodin to the point where they were not relieving the pain anymore. I had the same reaction with the percocet where I had to take 2-3 at once.

That being said I would look up the medications on line, find the side effects from each, and find the side effects from the combination you are on. Some are minor and some are not. There are many and varied doses of opiate pain relievers available in both instant and extended release so that chronic pain patients can get the best coverage they can get. Indeed, some very tolerant people can take an extended release 80 mg oxycontin tablet. However, that could be a very dangerous pill for another person, for whom it was not prescribed. And if you cut it it becomes even more dangerous (hopefully this is harder with the newer formulation).

So i had emergency surgery the other night about a week ago. My placenta was smushing and collapsing my urethra tubes. For the unbearable pain my surgen has prescribed me hydrocodone. I am on week one treating type A and feeling really bad side effects. I feel almost ready to do something drastic. I called the psychologist at the clinic and she said that the side effects are worse in the first week. Is this true?
