Here is something crazy, I contacted a Pharmacist to ask about the gas/constipation and he said gas was not a side effect...So I researched a bit...and everywhere I looked, Gas was listed as a side effect...go figure..thought you were supposed to be able to count on the Pharmacist since you they always ask if you have questions and are supposed to be knowledgeable...Oh well... I'll give it a bit longer and see how things go...if they don't change, I'll call my Doc! Thanks again!!!

OK, here's the "strange one" of the group. I have taken Vicodin for 4 years. It only makes me "grumpy" at the end of a day when I have over done my limitations and I am hurting and absolutely nothing works to ease my pain. My family knows when it's one of those evenings and they are kind enough to leave me alone and let me be a "B" all by myself. I don't even want to be around anyone. But those days are not often.

My wife in the 2nd week of her 6th chemo session of carboplatin, paclitaxel and avastin. Most of the side effects are predictable and have been increasing in severity over the sessions. For the last few days she has been subject to very painful occasions of bloating and severe intestinal gas pain. Don't find these in any of the listings of side effects other than "abdominal pain". Anyone know if this is a common side effect and what can be done about it.

I am on week one treating type A and feeling really bad side effects. I feel almost ready to do something drastic. I called the psychologist at the clinic and she said that the side effects are worse in the first week. Is this true? Or am I looking at 48wks of feeling so sick I can hardly walk and feeling like my head is going to explode never mind the crazy emotional stuff talk about the blues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don;t know if I can even tolerate this.

Hi Ladies I just have as question about metformin whats the side effects some of you may have had? I start to take metformin today so maybe this will bring on my period. I had a natural m.c in nov 2008 and no AF as of yet.

- benicar is known to have some wild side effects , such as Gas -bloating belly- uncontrolled passing gas!, and vision problems such as eye lids being lazy or not working well. blurred vision is another as well - no energy or power ! it robbs you of normal energy or power you had , no get up and go.. it got up and went with the benicar and other meds for b.p. its best to ask your Doctor to take you off it, asap and switch to something that isnt so harsh on you !

My wife takes 5mg percocet (as prescribed) for chronic pain daily...she has noticed a marked decrease in her vision since doing so and I'd like to know if any users have had similar reactions..she only has vision in one eye anyway and doesn't need to jeopordize that. Of course her doctor told her "no" and also haze her taking Ibuprofin...she was talking to the pharmacist earlier today who told her DON'T DO THAT...

Mine was way too fast and I have really suffered. I did the percocet withdrawal first as well but the Effexor made the percocet withdrawals look like a piece of cake.

Gabapentin is a drug that has many adverse side effects. I would question the sanity of any physician that prescribed gabapentin to help with percocet withdrawals. But that's just me. Go to the PDR (physician's desk reference) and look up the established side effects of gabapentin.

I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?

That being said I would look up the medications on line, find the side effects from each, and find the side effects from the combination you are on. Some are minor and some are not. That is the only reason I would look up the side effects is to find out which side effects that are red flags and need to be adressed immediately.

I read that the films are 30% stronger?could that be a reason? Also, I got scared/tired of the side effects and got my percocet prescription filled and now worried that I might get in trouble? But I have also read that a person can get suboxones filled and their pain meds filled, is this true? Has anyone else had these side effects from Lex? Anyone been on Lex for awile with no side effects, only to have them develop later? Don't side effects happen in the beginning only?

I understand that we all can experience different side effects to certain meds but was hoping someone could tell me what, if any, side effects they experienced while taking Prilosec or Zegerid. Both meds are basically Omeprazole. I also noticed that, in my opinion, my doctor had me on WAY TOO MUCH. I was prescribed 40mg twice a day..EVERY DAY! I've seen that the most common script is written for 20mg a day for two weeks.

I was so irritable all the time. All I could do was stay in bed. I realized these were all side effects of this patch. The side effects of the patch so adversely effected my life I decided to take it off one night. I went through a detox like you'd never imagine. I had hallucinations, vomitting etc. I had no idea what I had done. I put the patch back on, and weened myself off of it over the next two weeks. I just couldn't live that way.

But none of them prepared me for the harsh reality of the nasty side effects this horrible drug leaves you with. This is my personal experience and I hope I can help people understand what to expect when getting clean from opiates. First let me say, prepare for at least 5 days of feeling horribly sick, but it is not impossible to get through it. I warn you now that I am holding nothing back, these descriptions may be very graphic and disterbing.
