Percocet schedule

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet schedule

percocet

Avatar f tn Hi Has anyone successfully tapered off percocet? or is it too strong of a drug to taper down with?
Avatar f tn I didn't realize there were different schedules for pain meds...I have rsd in both hands..I've gone from ultracet to vicodin to my second increase on percocet..Maybe this is why my pm dr is hesitant to up my dosage anymore. I have increased my neurontin increased to 1200mg a day..also on cymbalta and voltaren gel..Thanks for the info....
Avatar f tn I would like to get off Percocet for good. I have 100 pills left this prescription. Would that be enough to taper from 8 a day to 0? I don't want to involve my doctor at this point for fear of failure or commitment. I would like to do this before my next refill, on my own, as the refill would start this nightmare all over again. Any suggestions on a schedule for the amounts I have stated? I took 7 yesterday and believe it or not I woke at 4am with worst RLS of the whole body.
Avatar m tn You should probably find someone that can help you by dispensing the pills on a schedule. Stop taking large amounts at once and start spreading them out more over the day. Stop spiking your serum levels essentially. Take good care of your body by keeping hydrated and use ensure type protein drinks if you arent eating well. And used this forum frequently for advice and support - - and good luck to you!
Avatar n tn It has to do with the FDA schedule that the drugs are on. Hyrocodone and codeine are Schedule III narcotics which can be called in by a doctor. Percocet/oxycodone is a Schedule II narcotic which means that it's a step up on the ladder from hydrocodone in strength and therefore cannot be called in.
Avatar n tn What vitamins/minerals should I take as I withdraw from percocet; Any excercises?; What can help me with my anxiety attacks? thank you.
Avatar f tn I will live with pain for the rest of my life. I was prescribed oxyxontin 40mg 3 times a day plus 10mg Percocet for breakthrough pain. After my botched hip replacement (at age 51) I was searching for a magic cure and was willing to take the pain killers. When I realized this would be forever I wanted to stop the opiates. My doctor gave me a slow withdrawal - every week I went to a lower dose 2 times a day. But when I got to 10mg the schedule was 10mg once a day. Huh?
Avatar n tn ive been taking percocet five months now about twenty a day then had surgery. Was givin more percocets after surgery. I havnt had any for a week now was givin ultram which i started using the day i ran out of of percocet. Now i have nothing tommrow will be the first day and im worried about whats gonna happen to me. I want to go to my dr and get help but i dont know what he can do for me. Im really nervous n dont know what i should do..
Avatar n tn Every day is a challange but I am taking clonidine with the percocet, so it masks the withdrawl a bit and it increases the feeling of the percocet. I suggest you ask a doctor about it, rather than going on something like soboxone(sp?).
Avatar f tn Started on Vicodin to percocet to dilaudid to morphine back to percocet. I have something called intercranial hypertension and I also havecthecgastric bypass last year so I think I went to it for comfort. I have another question though what can happen to my liver.
Avatar f tn I am still pretty new here. I tried to tapper off of percocet that I have been using daily for about 8 months now, the dosage kept going up and got to about 6 - 10 mg pills a day and thats when I new I needed to do something.
Avatar f tn what is a good taper schedule? was on about 100 mgs a day of percocet... tried ct and its not going too well. i have only been taking about 30 mgs the past 2 days. how should i do this?
Avatar n tn all narcotics when taken for any duration have withdrawl symptoms. it depends on the strength, the amounts taken, and the length of time you were on them. i have degenerative disk disease, degenerative arthritis, and have run the gamut of narcotics for many years. i was sooo glad to find tramadol- not a narcotic, long lasting and very effective on chronic pain. be careful!!!!!! the withdrawls are worse than any narcotic!
Avatar n tn I don’t know how often you are supposed to take the Percocet per day- how many tablets/per x hrs, but it is likely the results will be lower than they should be given your dosing schedule. The 2634 nanograms/per milliliter of urine is a measurement of how much Percocet was present in one milliliter of urine.
5447621 tn?1368108821 Maybe I will. My taper schedule is 2 weeks (25mcg) and then 2 weeks (12.5mcg). Every day definitely does get a little easier. What has anyone else done for a taper schedule? I came off "oxy's" that I was using for break-thru pain with no difficulties at all! This fentanyl stuff is just brutal!
Avatar m tn So I’ve been taking pain meds for nearly 7 years for medical and then recreational use. Was recently averaging 100mg daily of Percocet. I do have a legal script and continue to misuse my meds. Finally have came to the crossroads and ran short on meds. Made the decision just days before that this is and started weaning down somewhat. So withdraws began during the weaning process about 72 hours ago. Took 45 mg yesterday and down to 10 mg today @ 630 AM; now 1:16.
Avatar f tn i have been on either vicodin or rarely percocet for 4 years @ 10-10mgs a day. im prescribed 4 a day, so am always running out. like NOW i just took my last 10mg until 4 days from now when i get my script. the dr. knows they are no longer working thats why hes refering me to pain mgmt. the strongest ive ever taken is percocet. what can i expect from pain mgmt? thanks to anyone who can help. scared of withdraw i know i can expect until script is filled.
Avatar f tn I am only posting this because tramadol is not actually a narcotic( so they say) they are actually on the verge of making it a controlled substance. I was on a bicycle and was hit by a car and I stressed to them not to give me any narcotics because I was scared of being addicted again after I had defeated that demon. We'll let me tell you they don't get you as high as like a lortab or Percocet or oxy, but boy oh boy the withdrawals are just as bad or worse.
Avatar f tn Two weeks ago my doctor of 8 years told me there is nothing more he can do for me. Handed me a script for Percocet since I had not been on those for over 6 years and a referral to a pain clinic. Well I tried to wean myself from the morphine, and its not going so well. I filled the Percocet script but didn't take any while I was weaning. I am on hour 33 without morphine. I took a Percocet to see if it would help the withdrawal symptoms, but it didn't.
Avatar f tn I NEED AN ANSWER TO THIS-- ISNT PERCOCET AN OPIATE? CANT YOU TAPER WITH THEM? PLEASE HELP IM FREAKING OUT. MY HUSBAND KNOWS THAT IVE BEEN TAKING THEM FOR 6 WEEKS BECAUSE OF SURGERY I HAD, AND I TOLD HIM I WILL BE GOING THRU W/D, BUT HE DOESNT HAVE A CLUE WHAT TO EXPECT.
Avatar m tn t as far along as you thought you were. did you doctor schedule you for another ultrasound in a week? If they did that is good they can check and see if anything does show up, if it isn't a miscarriage. Goodluck.
Avatar m tn I started taking percocet 10 mg for back pain and now I've found myself taking 10mg every 3 hours. I took off work for 3 days to detox and come off cold turkey but oh my God I started having jerks, night sweats, my whole body was jerking. I wanted to put my fist throught the wall. My doctor gave me a schedule to detox myself slowly but I was so desperate to come off I tried cold turkey.
Avatar f tn I have been trying to get off percocet. It started out bu just taking it here and there. But now I am up to 8-10 a day and Its all I think about. I buy off the strret. My doctor doesn't even know. I spend about 500 a month. I want to stop but just don't know where to begin. i feel so depressed that Ive let myself get addicted and I just wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I've been seeing my pain dr for 21 years. I have multiple spinal issues and neuropathy pain, and a 4 level spinal fusion. I'm having a problem getting my latest prescription because of an insurance issue. Normally, I pat $4 for a 30 day supply, because I get a tier exception, but because of the new year, the tier exception didn't go through in time to get my new script. I applied my last patch on 1/5.
Avatar m tn Hey Guys, I have been taking Norco 10/325 for the last year and a half at a prescribed dose of 2 pills every 4. Recently, my doctor started prescribing Percocet 10/325 at 2 pills in the evening. I never took the 2 pills of Percocet, I would take 1 1/2 per dose. So, total I was taking 60mg of Norcos and 15mg of Percocet per day. I know I have a dependency due to the fact that I would painfully watch the clock for the 4 hour mark.
