Percocet refills

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet refills

percocet

June 14th, didn't get my script filled until a week later due to how much out of pocket compared to my 10 co-pay...my question is does my doctor go by when my Percocet prescription was written or when it was filled? Do they EVEN know?? I'm just asking?? I was watching my pharmacist and once they finished filling my bottle the shredded the actual paper script?? So How would my doctor know?? So...
Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. I had pretty major surgery and was prescribed Percocet 7.5/325 (60). In about 3 weeks I've been through 210 7.5s. I'd take more than recommend dosage for the first few days of the script and then taper myself down to about 4 a day. I'd refill and do the same again. After 3+ refills I knew I needed to be done. My last two days I had 2 doses of 2 percs. Last dose was nearly 72 hours ago.
I have been on percocet for over 5 years, I have stopped cold turkey. I am now experiencing diarea and I am wondering how long it will take for my body to heal? I have been taking 4-5 daily. If anyone can help I would greatly appriciate it.
I have a friend who has been taking percocet every night for the past five years or so. She is up to seven a night(not sure of the milligrams). She works for a surgeon and just calls the prescriptions in. My question is "how is her thinking affected during the day while she's not actively using? "She feels she is completely unaffected til she's taken them at night. I see her as very diiferent. She is forgetful and condescending in our conversations.
I'm a 56 year old grandmother and have been taking percocet for approx 5 years. I started with 15 mgs per day and am now up to 40 mgs per day. I stopped taking them cold turkey on New Years day. My doctor perscribes me 120 per month, I never took that many until recently. I take them for arthritis and fibromyalgia and they worked wonders for most of the past 5 years.
I,ve been taking Percocet for about two yrs now, I originally started taking 3 10mg per day, My tolerance of course went up little by little.
I had a PMP that used to do this. Drugs like percocet and hydrocodone can be written for a 90 day supply though.
I am going to pharmacy school. Percocet and Norco are VERY different. Percocet- Is a schedule II drug and is in the same class as morphine, adderall, cocaine, and fentnyl. It is kept locked up in retail pharmacies and is only allowed to be unlocked by a pharmacist. Percocet is oxycodone and acetominipen (tylonol).
The percocet is stronger. It is also regulated more and are not allowed refills with it as you are with the Norco. Most doctors will try to get you to go from percocet to Norco and then down. The fact that your Norco was 10/325 and the Percocet is 7.5/500 probably means they are about equal except the percocet has an extra 175 mg of tylenol. This extra tylenol is not good for you since you are taking over 5000 mg of tylenol.
I have been on this **** for over 9 years for a broken neck, I relocated from NY and I had asked my new doc here in Florida to cut back on the amount I was scripted. It was 150 pills /month and I asked for 120/moth... Great.. he was happy and moron me forgot to count. I did 5 pills/day and I am 6 days out from my follow up. I screwed up and took 5/per day instead of 4 and now I am out and out by exactly 30 pills. I am fubar right now...
Because I've been in denial about it for over a year now. I've been addicted to vicodin/percocet for about a year now, and the dosage has slowly increased every few months or so. My boyfriend does not know, and neither does my mother. None of my friends know. None of them know that I can't wait to get off work, so I can go home and take a pill. I rationalize it by saying "its just one pill a day". Even though I'm up to 10/650 of percocet a night now.
I am so disgusted and mentally over taking percocet. But physically it isn't that easy. Have been taking about 12-14 5/325's for about 10 months. Lesser amounts before that. Have legitimate spine issues but would rather feel that pain than feel like garbage after taking all these pills. It may not be as much as others but its more than enough for me. no easy answer, i know. but ive had enough. suggest telling pcp?
I have constant severe pain in the lower right hand side of . I have been taking 1 percocet pretty much everyday in the afternoon (I can't take it during the day because I work) for almost 3 months. I go to a pain clinc where they put me on Neurontin which makes me too tired to work and tried Bio feedback which didn't work for me. The Percocet helps the pain but I feel I am addicted.
keeping pills past ur set quit day is almost a sure way to relapse///refills gotta go...ur dr needs to know u no longer want to take narcotics...
My pain Doc told me that I wouldn't have withdrawals being on the patch if I don't take the Percocet. It's hard for me to get through without the Percocet...for the pain and life but I have to do it. My appointment is 2 weeks away and I only have 10 Percocet left but plenty of Fentanyl. I have to get through. I'm tired of the lies and trying to get an early appointment, etc. Enough is enough. I can do this right??? Thank you again!!!

So, I then made yet another FAUX call to the dr went into the appt and left with a fresh, shiney, brand new prescription of Percocet ( which I have never taken b4 until now). I think that really amazed me, is that after keeping the same Dr for about 5yrs and them telling me one day (when calling in for a refill of course) that they feel that I am taking more medication than their recommended dosage and will no longer see me and referred me to a pain management specialist.....
I am worried I'm addicted, and need to know the best way to go about detoxing. Fortunately I've only been using for about a month. I was prescribed percocet after an operation. at first it was needed for the pain ,but its been over two weeks and I'm still using the percocet. I was able to get refills and I liked the affect so I kept using them.
The other thing is,and this is my best advice, flush the pills that you have in the house and get rid of any connections or refills. It's a lot worse when pills are handy!!! They call your name REALLY LOUD. Just DO this. Get it over with! Ask for help!!
I HAVE HEPATITIS C, TOOK TREATMENT AND WAS A COMPLETE RESPONDER, IN REMISSION FOR 6 YEARS. I INJURED BOTH LEGS AND HAVE BEEN ON PERCOCET 10, XANAX AND ALSO BP MEDS. I WANT OFF NOW! I HAVE TEENAGED BOYS WHO NEED ME NOW. I NEED AND WANT MY LIFE BACK. PLEASE HELP ME! HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE AND HOW BAD WILL I FEEL TO GO COLD TURKEY OFF PERCOCET? I HAVE BEEN ON IT FOR APPROX 2 YEARS. it's just hell for me. my doctor prescribed me percocet on Nov 26 (60 pills) and I just ran out on Dec 15.. I'm going to go in and see him again on Dec 23.. will he prescribe me more percocet? because I have appt with another doc (neurology doc) at John Hopkins on Jan 15th. and will he give me more than 60 pills this time, because it's pretty long wait until Jan 15 for those who is suffer in pain like me.
I am a 43 year old woman - teacher, wife and mother of 3 young children, who has been taking percocet for a back problem for approximately 6 years now. It started with a buldged disc, piriformis syndrome and sciatica, followed by intense PT, months off work, and initially occasional use of the painkillers to what is now an intense desire to use them for more than painrelief.
HE GAVE ME A PRESCRIPTION FOR TRAMADOL(ULTRAM) 50 MILLIGRAM TABLETS. 120 OF THEM WITH 5 REFILLS. HOW DO I GO ABOUT THE TAPER. IT SAYS NO MORE THAN 4 TABS A DAY OF TRAMADOL. I STILL HAVE PLENTY OF PERCS. I DONT ABUSE THEM AND AS SAID TAKE WHAT I STATED ABOVE. THAT DOESNT MEAN I KNOW IM NOT DEPENDENT ON THEM , IM SURE I AM. DO I REPLACE THE TRAMADOL FOR THE PERCS. DO I SUBSTITUTE BACK AND FORTH. IVE SEEN YOUR POSTS AND YOU SAID YOU TAPER PEOPLE OFF OF OPIATES WITH TRAMADOL.
I have been on Percocet for 4 months for a herniated disk. I was taking half a day, then one a day, then up to 6 a day. Then I started having awful side effects. My back pain got worse, my tongue was swelling some, and had stomach pain too. Then I had my lumbar injection and the pain got worse. I am scared this is an allergic reaction. I had my lumbar steroid injection, and the pain got worse, so my Dr prescribed Tylenol 4.
I had hernia surgery and was prescribed percocet 10mg.. It been 2 months and have stopped them but feeling really depressed and anxious. How long will this take to subside??? I usually half the 10mg and take half at a time. at most take 5 halfs a day..???
I refused them giving me any painkillers when i went to the hostpital to get checked, but they sent me home with a script for some 5mg percocet. This is amazingly tempting as my parents have already filled it and i have the bottle (they no nothing of my addication they think i just got over having the flu while i detoxed). So i need some good(preferably quick) answers here.
i went from percocet to lortab and he wouldnt write me a refill..its like he thinks of ways to get me in there every month now...i want to know if anyone get refills after they get tested...from passing the test.
Hi. I'm tapering from percocet, but have hydrocodone pills. Just curious, does anyone know the difference? Is a 10 mg hydrocodone the same as a 10 mg percocet (oxycodone)? Reason I'm asking is I can break my hydrocodone pills in fourths a lot easier than my percocets.
Viocoden 3x a day and Percocet for when the viocoden was not enough. Old doctor wrote her as many refills as she could before we moved...that was all she could do. Went to hospital, they said to find a PCM... Not very helpful at all.
Percocet, Morphine, Oxycontin, Fentanyl and others. They can only be prescribed by a written script (no phone ins, no faxes) and they MUST be PRINTED. There is NO refills given on a Schedule II drug. It requires a visit to the Dr. monthly. Schedule III Opiates are: Vicodin, Vicoprofen, Tussionex, etc... and thay may be called in or faxed in to a Pharmacy and can have up to 6 refills.
