I started takiing narcotics (vicodin, percocet, oxys) recreationally 5 years ago. Generally 10 - 15 percocet 10/650s. Other days anything that I can get my hands on. Today is the 2nd day with nothing and I am a mess. I can't tell up from down in from out or what any emotion is. I cry, I yell, I have cramps, I throw up. I do not want to live with the durgs in my body anymore. I cant feel anymore. I cant remember anything anymore. Life is passing me by and I dont know how to rejoin it.

I started to take lortabs as a pick me up as I worked. I waited tables at that time. I was a recreational heroin user as a teenager but had long since kicked that habit. I was really naive to to think that pills were not a big deal... it seemed harmless in comparison to other methods of recreational drug use that I put my body through. I have been taking pain medication for 3 years now. The withdrawal is so hard it feels.

I have taken generic percocet for about a year. Not daily at first, strictly recreational. They made me more energetic, strangely enough. I have anxiety/depression and take prescription Effexor. It helps, but I do just what I HAVE to, like work and try to help with basic chores. Anyway, I don't have time to give all the details, but here is my question/problem. Also I have percocet 7.5/325 that says I can take 2 every 3-4 hours. Is this posing any possible over dose problems or health problem? This will only be taken for a short amount of time.No more than 2 weeks. Any advise on the saftey of this would be appreciated.Also I was told since I am not a good pill swallower to crush them if needed. Is that okay as well?

Hello!! I also abused Percocet. You are early in your withdraw...it is going to take some time. The first week is pure hell I'm not going to sugar coat it. You will get through this!!!!!i am on day 19 today and still dealing with issues. After the first 7 days the physical withdraws will subside quite a bit. Stock up on items in the Thomas recipe...they will help!!!! How much and how long were you taking the percs? Stay strong and good luck to you!!

Taking pain pills for real pain is far safer than for a recreational high. A few weeks after the tooth pain was gone I had 12 Percocet left and decided to have a few 'fun' weekends getting a little buzzed hear & there and felt some withdrawal after. What a great lesson in how great pain pills are for real pain, and how horrible they are when abused. I hope my story gives you some info & comfort going into your dental work.

One thing i want to explain is that i have injuries due to an accident so the percocet that i take is not for recreational use. I use it as needed. my dilema is this i Feel as if its safer to stay off the withdrawl meds.( suboxone ) due to the greater amounts of toxins opposed to the percocets themselves, because is it still sooo early in the pregnancy. My ultimate goal is to not be dependent on these meds the whole pregnancy.

Am I a candidate for suboxone if I take ten percocet tens a day and use coricidin on a regular basis?

So I’ve been taking pain meds for nearly 7 years for medical and then recreational use. Was recently averaging 100mg daily of Percocet. I do have a legal script and continue to misuse my meds. Finally have came to the crossroads and ran short on meds. Made the decision just days before that this is and started weaning down somewhat. So withdraws began during the weaning process about 72 hours ago. Took 45 mg yesterday and down to 10 mg today @ 630 AM; now 1:16.

He has admitted to me that he takes pills (I think he said Percocet), but he said it was occasionally. He had a short stint with heroin, but I hear it's really addicting. He works in an emergency room, and is EMT certified, so he knows all about where to inject the ****, and he's been really sneaky lately. I just don't know what to do. I'n on methadone and took 1 percocet for pain for a tooth ache on 7/8 and went to a dentist on 7/9 and given Ibeprophen 500 and amoxacillan. Would the percocet still show up in a urine on 7/21? My job depends on it.

I am a mmt(METHADONE MAINTENANCE TREATMENT) and my dose is 190mg every day. The Dr. prescribed me percocet 7.5mg/325mg knowing that i am on MMT. My question is, will the percocet be effective for break through pain or will my methadone dose block the percocet making it ineffective?

So the first night (Tuesday night) I took the new dose of Percocet (at 9pm) and my Klonopin and Trazadone (at 10pm) and went to sleep. Nothing strange occured or was reported. Last night, I took the new disage of Percocet all day (as prescribed). I took my last dosage at 8:45pm and then took my Klonopin at 10pm. I did not take my Trazadone because I was really, really tired already. And I am never tired! Anyway, I did feel a little shortness of breath before I fell asleep.

m a 32 year old mother to 2 amazing sons, ages 14 and 4. My drug of choice was Percocet and I took 4-5 10 mg a day. dose per day is important...a few months is not usually an addictio dose if u used them as prescribed..but if u have had prior addiction issues, it doesnt take much to get u back on the pill train..not a fun place to be! I u have no addiction issues in the past but r starting to feel a need for them..then it is time to let go and use sumpin safe for pain..talk to ur dr before tis gets outta hand..sweaty in the am is often due to sleep 8 hours or so without pills, hence u wake up in mild wds..

m wondering taking meds as prescribed how much of each med is in my blood work I know I take less than prescribed however that day I missed a morning dose and doubled the afternoon dose of Percocet

If I took one. 5 mg. percocet on 9/8 and did a drug screening at work on 9/21 and it came back positive is this possible? I also did another instant urine on 9/23 and that came back negative. Can the drug company be wrong? Which results are right. Also took Ibeprophen 500 & amoxacillan on 9/11. Someone please give me some good news my job of 18 yrs. depends on it.
