Percocet price per pill

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet price per pill

percocet

, max 3 per day (disc. issue that has improved recently) , decided to quit and took my last pill on Sunday night...its been pretty rough yesterday and today. I never thought that I would be physically addicted with what I thought was low dosage. My question is do you think I should taper (down to 1 per day for a week, then down to 1/2 per day for a week) or should I ride it out. I'm definitely out of the game one way or another, any thoughts are welcome. Thanks.
I,ve been taking Percocet for about two yrs now, I originally started taking 3 10mg per day, My tolerance of course went up little by little.
My dose 120mgs three times daily for a total of 360mgs daily and around 6 TO 9 percocet witch is ocycodone at 325 mgs each pill. I understand that this is a huge amount of drugs to be putting in my body on a daily basis but please know that I do not abuse them as everything I take is all prescribed and never take more than my prescribed dose. The reason for my posting is that I have started in the last little while noticing some real bad side effects.
If you take 12 pills a day, assuming they are 10mg/pill.....you take apx 120mg of oxycodone per 24hours. This would equal out to about 180mg of morphine to obtain the same level of relief. Literature suggests for a 24 hour morphine dose of 60-134mg you would need a 25mcg fentanyl patch. So you would be right around a starting patch of 50mcg. As you can clearly see, a 100mcg patch is at LEAST double the amount you would need.
I started off slow for the first month or so but for the last 2 months I have been taking over 100 mg per day. Sometimes I take perc 5's, perc 10's, vic 5's, i have had some perc 30s on days where my guy couldnt get anything but them. My main thing is that I think about it and I count the hours and stare at the clock! Current situation.....I am 8.5 hours into this!! Ugh i know, that is NOTHING! I am having body aches, hot and cold flashes, and just feeling like crap.
I have constant severe pain in the lower right hand side of . I have been taking 1 percocet pretty much everyday in the afternoon (I can't take it during the day because I work) for almost 3 months. I go to a pain clinc where they put me on Neurontin which makes me too tired to work and tried Bio feedback which didn't work for me. The Percocet helps the pain but I feel I am addicted.
My last thought on that one a day thing is I know how much money he has spent so far this month and if he's down to one a day the price per pill musta gone up. But I didn't say that to him, just you guys. Hope you all have a great day and I will say prayers for all. Pray for our Troops tonight!
Some people think it must cost a lot, since many drugs sell for more than $2.00 per tablet. We did a search of offshore chemical synthesizers that supply the active ingredients found in drugs approved by the FDA. As we have revealed in past issues of Life Extension, a significant percentage of drugs sold in the United States contain active ingredients made in other countries.
I have been taking vicodin ES 750mg 90 tablets a month for the past 2 years I have chronic pain due to my bad knees. I was recently switched over to the percocet 5/325 my body was becoming tollerant to the vicodin to the point where they were not relieving the pain anymore. I had the same reaction with the percocet where I had to take 2-3 at once.
I took them as prescribed for a while and then started increasing the dosage until I was taking upwards of 14 a day (I could take 8 per my script). I decided about a week ago to stop. I tapered down to 8 a day, I guess that's not great but I just can't have them around me without taking them. I have been without for 36 hours and of course I feel like hell in a hand basket. The longest I've ever gone is about 30 hours. My question is: How long until I start to feel better?
And most of us ended up on several in that price range per month... well lets just say it ain't a perfect world. Yes they want to find cures, but yes drug companies pay for these studies and yes they want to make money too..and they must sell a lot of OTC and special chemo and disease drugs to make that happen. Maybe the only solution would be, leave this as a company "for profit" so there remains motivation for research..
When I did fail and start on them again, it didn't take me long to be back up too. 14 pills a day. At a street price of 3 dollars per pill. Needless to say, I was getting to the point where my addiction was without a doubt controlling my life in every scense of the word. financially i was killing myself and at the same time, my heart was failing me. I had a mild heart attack at the age of 27 and didn't even know it. Even after discovering that, it wasen't enough to get clean.
It seems women's brains are more receptive to Kappa opiods than other opiods like the oxy's or hydrocodones. It comes in a patch, nasal spray and a pill. Only the pill is what we would use. Simply ask your Dr. Some drs. do not prescribe certain drugs because they are not certified to do so. They don't tell us this. Morphine is a level 4 drug. A GP does not have a license to prescribe level 4 drugs. Sometimes they use the strong arm method instead of explaining their limitations.
I didn't have a choice on what I could take for breakthrough medicine. I don't take more than 1950 mg of tylenol per day via the percocet. I think the percocet and the vicodin puts a "cap" on how much a person can take before destroying their liver. My doctor has been very trustworthy of me but always wants me to stay on these combo meds. Earlier this year, he wanted to switch me to 8 vicodin a day. I said to myself, "That is an insane amount of tylenol!!".
I had to administer emergency saline enemas 1-2 times per week for relief! On the Fentanyl patches, I have no more constipation issues!! I just take a stool softner (Colace) every other day and I'm fine. I am so happy with my new long-acting medication as it also does a GREAT job at relieving my pain. The oxycodone I take for breakthrough pain works much faster now and lasts twice as long (5-6 hours)!
The 40 mg Opana ER includes all of the breakthrough percocet I take per day and the total in morphine sulfate ER I take per day. With this lower dose, I still should not need breakthrough meds. I consulted with two pharmacists about my conversions at Medco (my prescription provider), one pharmacist last night and one in the morning today (I also went to the opana website and used their conversion calculator and got the same results).
Another option is Exalgo, it is extended release hydromorphone (dilaudid) that is a pill taken once per day as it works for 24 hours versus 12 hours. It is slightly weaker than Opana ER. With my insurance Exalgo is ungodly expensive!! But that may not be true for you. I know Opana ER and Exalgo companies offer a copay card and a patient assistance program which is income based. Many are getting these expensive meds for free through the patient assistance programs.
My story is a long one, but here goes. I was using Percocet 10 mg along with Hydro 10 mg when I ran out of Percocet. 90 Percs and 90 Hydros a month. I quit using for 6 days and then relapsed. I bought ten percs and then ten more, using at most two per day. When those ran out, I called the doctor. I had already seen him about the withdrawals two weeks ago. He put me on Catapres patch and the w/d's were almost gone. I was actually getting 5-6 hours of sleep at night.
March 6 and went cold turkey from there. We reduced by 5mg. per week down to 45mg., then 2mg. per day thereafter down to 7. That is a fast taper and there is no way our bodies had time to catch up but thus far it has made a world of difference. Your frame of mind is an important aspect of this detox Stay positive with your eye on the prize. After only 7 days we are both experiencing a mental clarity we haven't had in several years. Best of luck and there are other remedies in my journal.
I've used suboxens to quit my percocet addiction before, I was taking up to 20 10mg percocets a day, and when I started the suboxen I would take 2 pills a day, then after a few days I broke it down to a pill, then broke it down to half a pill, then quarters, then nothing...it took me about 2 1/2 weeks to do that and I was okay (I did end up taking perks again though...
I can tell u from my experience at the methadone clinic is good. I was out of control with my pill addiction. I got a sense living my life. Not always having to worry bout having enough of pills for the next day. I sorta got a normal feeling back. Make sure she does her research on the methadone.
Hello and welcome ! Can you tell us how long and what strength of pills you are taking ? You have come to the right place as you will get a lot of support and help here . We are a pretty close knit group here .
I was up to about 50 mg of vic per night and if I could throw in some percocet and soma, well hey that much better. How did I get here? I never thought this would be me. Nobody who knows me has a clue and I am not ready to go public. I can't leave my kids or my job to go to treatment or anything like that so I have to do it on my own. I keep reading people saying that is not possible here but it has to be. I have no other option. Feeling alone and scared. Coming here helps a bit.
My md now has me take the opana extended release 10mg 3 x a day along with one percocet per opana and it is very very effective and I have L-3-L5 herniations, stenosis of the spine,6-8 bone spurrs and arthritis of the hip joint along with degenerative disc deteration and i am only 35yrs old and it is still going down hill! But all in all the md told me a while back that all the oc's had to stop or my organs were going to be damaged to the point that my life span would be effected!
Some days have been worse than others and I have had to take one to two more percocet per day than rxd, I'm on a contract and afraid to call and let them know I'm running out( they ask for 5 days notice) not to mention i think a room mate has swiped a few here and there so im real short.I just dntont want to be red flagged right away as " one of types patients" nor suffer through till my next rx. What should I do??
average was three 40-mg tablets. I am now taking about ten 5/325 Percocet per day. Trying to step down to six to eight daily. Am I indeed stepping down with the dosages described? Am I doing myself any favors in this attempt to reduce intake prior to surgery and detox?
4 per day for 3 days, then 3 per day for 6 days, then 2 per day for 9 days, then 1 pill per day for 12 days = 30 days of gradual taper (need 60 pills to do this regimen). Others may have a better game plan for you - but that's how I did it and took the last 1 pill on Sunday, Jan 5th. I'm now 31 days free of vicodin - and feeling great! Keep posting & ask for any help you need. Stay determined and don't stop trying, even if you don't stay on the taper schedule...
