Avatar f tn Hey and welcome :) I will post some information below for you. Withdrawals can cause some issues so your going to want to make an appointment with an OB to discuss your options. Dont be afraid though...be honest with your doc and it will be fine. There are many pregnant women who come here with the same issue and it ends up fine so long as they go see a doc.

Avatar m tn i have been taking percocet 15mg for about 3 years and there are many times when i wished i didnt have to take this. Its not neccesarily effecting my way of living but im worried about how long i need to be on this. I have terrible back issues and these are the only meds that allow me to go about my day. when someone is on pain meds for that long is it possible to just detox or am i possibly looking at suboxin because i do look forward to the day that im 100% clean free and clear all the way.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am running out of my percocet script early, is it ok to take tramadol in between to try and extend the few percocets I have? I cannot do withdrawel right now. I need something to stretch the Percocets out for about 5 days until my next script is ready. I use my meds for pain, but I ALWAYS run out about 4 days early. I am currently not using tramadol, but I have some, will they be an ok substitute for a week or so? Or will I still get W/D? Thank you, and God Bless Us all!
Avatar f tn I was in a car accident last year that left me with a shattered pelvis and 5 fx vertebrae in my L-S spine...I was prescribed percocet 10/325 8x a day. I just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant and have stopped using the medication, I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms for the last 4 days.
Avatar f tn It's difficult to say. What do you mean you're everything wrong? Flexeril is a Category B, so it's seen to be safe to take during pregnancy as long as your doctor knows you're using it and taking it as said.
483757 tn?1208481255 I am 35 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. My OB took me off of all of my Fibro meds at the beginning of pregnancy. (Meds were- Neurontin, Cyclobenzaprine, Baclofen, Trazodone, Vit. D and Tramadol) The only thing she will allow me to take is 1/2 to 1 tab of Vicodin 10/500mg a day even though narcotics have NEVER worked for my pain and she knows that- and I hate Vicodin.
Avatar m tn When you say Meth I'm a$$uming your talking about methadone mot methamphetamine? Right? Anyways, if this is correct it seems like your daughter did it backwards as the methadone seems to be the standard protocol from expecting mothers detoxing from opiates. She should have stayed on the methadone and let the Percocet go. Whatever she does should be done under the care and advisement of her OB but here is some helpful info below that you can present at a dr visit.

Avatar n tn i am almost six months pregnant i have been on oxycodone 30 mg three to four pills a day for five years ive been on the oxycodone my entire pregnacy i was tld by my primary care doctor that percocet is the only pain med that safe for my fetus i dont understand how its not affecting my baby ive tried to quit and i not only go through withdrawl but they withdrawl is horrible i get really bad stomach cramps as well as diarrhea how do i taper myself down to the point where i no longer going through
562343 tn?1233601924 so u can group the percocets and the oxy ir into one category ..i realize it is easier to quit the T3s but it would help u while u taper off the others...Or u could go CT off of all of this but it would be a humdinger ..so ur percs/oxycodone are 5 mg...so u r taking 100 mg a day of those and 20-60 mg of the oxy IR/oxycodone as well...so say on a day that u take 2 IRs u r averaging 140 mg of oxycodone a day...does this sound right?....i will pm u...
Avatar f tn t take the pills every day from day one of the pregnancy to the last day. I started taking the percocet mid pregnancy and stopped taking it in the 8th month. However, my dr never once brought up addiction. Have you googled lortab and pregancy to see what comes up? I would get a second opinion on the addiction part. Find out for sure if there is a possibility that the baby will be addicted. Feeling guilty the rest of your pregnancy will not be good for you.
