Is it safe to take 800mg ibuprofen & 650mg Percocet (each pill 325mg) together at once?
She was prescribed pills from pain management for some legitimate issues but began, as oftens so very much, taking more than prescribed. She had oxy, Percocet and Soma in her system, as our friend had is read the autopsy report because he could not bare to. Even THAT was not enough, at the time, to make me stop. I cut back but i did not stop. My husband was terrified it would be me and it makes me sick that I put him through that. I hope things start to change; so incredibly sad.
can taking methadone and percocet togeather cause overdose wich can lead to a stroke? My Dad was recently put on oxycontin- short term- for hip pain. He is having surgery next week. My Mom called telling me that Dad was having to concentrate on his breathing, was dizzy and having problems concentrating. I told her to bring him to the hospital. I will be leaving to meet them but I thought that these were all signs of a overdose. I really haven't had these signs when I was abusing so I am not sure. Can anyone enlighten me?
Guaifenesin, how much is an Overdose? My daughter 11 years old 100 lbs (big for her age), took (the correct dose) 5mL cough and cold medicine that had the following in that dose. Guaifenesin, USP 100 mg, Dextromethorpan HBr, USP 10 mL. Phenylephedrine HCI, USB 5mg. But then she also took (the correct dose) 10 mg of a prescription medicine Guaifenesin-Codeine syrup (generic for Robitussin AC syrup). It doesn't state on the label the quantity of Guaifenesin mg in the 5mL dose.
Over a year ago I took a overdose of BP meds along with alcohol which landed me in the hospitol. I had been seeing a PCP for 4 yrs prior for neck and shoulder injurys, he had me on percocet 7.5/500. When I went for my appt. I honestly told the NP what happened, I was immediately taken off pain meds, told to get counseling with notes brought to them and I have not been able to recieve a pain med since.
I do believe that going to the fentanyl patch would be too high of a jump...too much of an increase in pain meds. How many Percocets do you take per day? Have you tried adding in something like motrin to help? I would think that instead of bringing fentanyl into the equation, that something like an extended release form of the oxycodone should be tried first. A low dose of Oxycontin twice daily, with the percocets used only for breakthrough pain as needed, sounds like a better plan to me.
I have been taking vicodin ES 750mg 90 tablets a month for the past 2 years due to my bad knees. I was recently switched over to the percocet 5/325 my body was becoming tollerant to the vicodin to the point where they were not relieving the pain anymore. I had the same reaction with the percocet where I had to take 2-3 at once.
s response. I am on 30 mg of morphine sulfate ER twice a day with up to 35 mg of percocet a day for breakthrough pain (about to switch to Opana ER tomorrow...maybe). I have taken the max of 35 mg of percocet in one day before along with 60 mg of morphine sulfate ER.
The important take away is that everyone that is on a tylenol-opioid combo product needs to calculate how much they are ingesting and watch the clock to make sure they are not ingesting too much. Originally, opioid-tylenol combo products came out as a cruel product from pharmaceutical companies in a effort to curb drug addiction as getting high on these pills will cause an overdose on tylenol so the tylenol synthetically CAPS the amount that can be consumed safely.
By the way, read what it says on bottle of how much you can take a day. Like 6 a day.... that's maximum how much you can take a day. Hope that helps.
Heart palpatations and irregular heart beats are a serious side effect of the medication. Since your friend has been taking percocet for years, he/she is addicted to the medication. When the medication starts to wear off, he/she is experiencing a withdrawal which can cause heart palpatations and irregular heart beats due to anxiety.

ER nurses and doctors are trainned to see signs of drug overdose. If they suspect overdose they will get you the help you need. Panic attacks will not have same symptoms. So I agree with everything that hadenough123. It has been a while for me also since I worked ER.
you cannot make him drink. Unfortunately, no matter how much you care and how much past and present you have with him will make him go to treatment or counceling until he decides for himself....You can however arrange an intervention or (I hate to use this word....Altimatum). He obviously cares about you or he would not make up the lies and try to decieve you, usually people who don't give a rats will blatantly go about their way.
I have taken the ultam before and I get absolutely no euphoric/high feeling from it - it has just helped to keep the withdrawal at bay. Any suggestions? How bad is this going to be and how long is it going to last? I am so ready to do this but also so scared.

I am so sorry for your loss and the key thing that you have written about is how much it helps others. I too, take Percocets, for pain and its tough cutting back on them. I cant imagine how ill your sister must have felt after ingesting 90 pills in two days. Some days I take up to 8-10 and I know its too much. I think its the Acetametaphin in them that is building up in the system that makes people so sick.

My friend is starting to go down the same road that many of you have (I'll admit I've popped a few every now and then) and i don't know when to tell him how much is too much at a time(needing a visit to the hospital). He mainly uses Hydrocodone and Lortab could anyone give me a ballpark estimate on how many mg's he should stop at?
