Endocet, Magnacet, Narvox, Percocet, Roxicet, Tylox

Here is the easiest way to look at it, (i think?) ... Percocet has tylenol in it, however, oxycodone and oxycontin are just straight percocet, no tylenol. I believe that oxycodone is the generic name for Roxicodone, which is also obviously percocet without the tylenol. Oxycontin and oxycodone are the same thing, EXCEPT oxycodone is a quick release tablet, and oxycontin is a slow release of the same med. Hydrocodone is the ingredient in Vicodin and Lortab.

A LORTAB is basically Vicodin (hyddrocodone), whereas a PERCOCET is a more natural opiate, also called oxycodone. Because oxy is less synthetic, it tends to be a bit stronger. Both meds contain the opiate (either hydro or oxy) and acetaminophen (tylenol). Both are habit forming when used improperly, or for long periods of time. Hope that helps.

I’m in the UK and a number of times when reading posts have wondered what certain drugs are in the US as they are all called different things in the UK. What exactly is Vicodin, Percocet etc? We have codeine phosphate here which contain 30mg of codeine each. When I see people talk about 5’s and 10’s etc, are they talking about pills with 5mg or 10mg of codeine in or is it completely different?

so now a doctor swiched me to percocet 10/325 tylenol and gave me some zantacs. do u think he did a good idead r is he an r -tard. i found no evedince of tylenol causing ulcers or bleeding in the stomach just liver damage if gone over the limit. i hope it helps with my stomach pain. ibeprophen *****.

Am just checking out all the names of rescue meds given on tx, as names might be different here in DK. (I.e. Procrit is called Eprex here, Neupogen is the same) Am trying to organize myself before I meet with the hepatologist, making a folder classifying things, while I remember them. Not easy with this foggy brain of mine. My question is, what are the names of any other rescue meds and AD's which might be prescribed while on tx?

I went to the new dr, and he was good, not a pill mill , actually set me up with therapy, and many tests, prescribed a few things, muscle relaxers, strong tylenol, and percocet, i hate percocet, makes me nauseus, but it was a low amount, and said to try...i asked him to fax a paper over to my dr with the new scripts, and something saying i am a new patient, etc..i go to the pharmacy, and after 1/2 hour, she emerges saying "the dr refused your scripts, he wants us to mail them back"..

d really appreciate it. I have just recently started oxyctotin and then percocet. My doctor wrote me a prescription for 8 oxycodene 5mg and it took me a whole month to use them. So I barely take them and if anything I would only take one in a day. So I have them for upper back pain that has been chronic and when i'm sitting it gets so bad so i would take it if I really couldnt make it through the day at my job due to the pain.

You should be able to find hydrocodone in India. The alternative would be Percocet which is oxycodone instead of hydrocodone. They both are very similar but the oxycodone is a bit stronger. From what I have read, a 5 mg percocet is equal to a 7.5 mg vicodin.

But, It works so much better, more smoothly than percocet. No cloudy mind, no craving for percocet, can be called in, cost less (suppose to become generic soon if not allready), and , gets my pain level down to a managable level. If anyone can help me find an understanding Doc, that will actually see the whole picture and not only the fact that I have to take percocet 6 times a day. I am trying to go the right direction and the docs dont' seem to see it. What up with that??

Percs don't have Oxy in them, they are them, basically. Percocet and Oxycontin are the same drug, which is Oxycodone. I highly recommend that people get to know the drug they're taking (for any medicine) rather than the brand names. Oxycontin is Oxycodone in a concentrated form for longer sustained release.

t really need the opiates. I do need them, and am inadequately medicated with Percocet. Does anyone know of a pain doc who isn't a Nazi? I live South of Boston, Massachusetts.

t gotten better, eventually I was referred to an Ortho who thankfully put me on a low dose of percocet so I could sleep. The pain was beyond anything I could imagine (little did I know how much worse it would get). I've been treated with Percocet for years...about 3 now with the 5/325 dosing. In there we've also tried a number of epidurals and other shots in various places (SI joints). I should probably know better everything that's been done to me but it's been SO MANY THINGS!

m percocet addict so I sure do understand the hold these devils have on a person. Its like heroin in pill if you ask me. I can't believe it but I've been off them a year and you can do it too! I think you should be completely honest with your doctor. He will understand, not be shocked and will help you through this. He cannot write your condition on a sick note because it violates doctor patient confidentiality laws . Its strickly between you and him. Don't be scared.

I don`t know if percocet is like darvecet by the physical part took a good week to get past cold turkey. The mental part is alittle harder. but you can definatley do this!! Today is day 48 for me and this site will help you ALOT!

I had major back surgery, a four level fusion, in october 2006. I was given percocet after the surgery, and was told to go to a special pain management place, where i went for over 7 months. because I was active 4 weeks after the surgery, and started to run around and take care of my kids and get back to my very busy life style, I never had real time to relax, and just "chill out". I stopped going to therapy in july, last year, put I continued to need the pain meds.

I'm I having withdrawl or not I stopped taking percocet 40 hrs ago and lying in bed tonight my hands and shoulders were aching so bad I was tossing and turning I got up and took 2 10's Percocet and 1 10 Oxycontin and now I'll spend the rest of the night in my recliner , The question is, is my pain a reaction to stopping the Percocet . I've gone through this time and time again only to have the pain over whelm me .

I have been trying to get off percocet. It started out bu just taking it here and there. But now I am up to 8-10 a day and Its all I think about. I buy off the strret. My doctor doesn't even know. I spend about 500 a month. I want to stop but just don't know where to begin. i feel so depressed that Ive let myself get addicted and I just wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions?

I am trying the taper method you spoke about..In the last 12 hours I have only taken two percocet at 3am when I couldnt sleep anymore..had had nothing since 4pm yesterday...I have not taken any Oxy IR's since one yesterday morning so almost up to 24 hrs on that one and no T3's since as well...figure only two percocet when I got up instead of 4 with a 20mg IR and some T3 has to be a step in the right direction isnt it??? Hello!! I also abused Percocet. You are early in your withdraw...it is going to take some time. The first week is pure hell I'm not going to sugar coat it. You will get through this!!!!!i am on day 19 today and still dealing with issues. After the first 7 days the physical withdraws will subside quite a bit. Stock up on items in the Thomas recipe...they will help!!!! How much and how long were you taking the percs? Stay strong and good luck to you!!
