Percocet lortab

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet lortab

percocet

Avatar f tn My Dr prescribed me lortab or percocet for my headaches during pregnancy
Avatar f tn A LORTAB is basically Vicodin (hyddrocodone), whereas a PERCOCET is a more natural opiate, also called oxycodone. Because oxy is less synthetic, it tends to be a bit stronger. Both meds contain the opiate (either hydro or oxy) and acetaminophen (tylenol). Both are habit forming when used improperly, or for long periods of time. Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Percocet seem to make me less productive than Lortab....is this common? ...by the way, ive weened down to 3 percs. a day and plan on weening down to 2 1/2 a day next week....... I m going to the see my doc today and im gonna ask for Lortab and contiune my weening on them....OPIINIONS PLEASE..THANKS..
Avatar m tn How long have you been seeing this PM? My thought is to be completely honest with them and bring in your bottle of meds which will show the one extra pill. There are only two types of UA tests done..One is the quick pee and evaluate in the Dr's office that just shows the presence of opiates and no other substances...So it won't show the difference between Lortab or Percocet in that type.
699217 tn?1323438700 Here is the easiest way to look at it, (i think?) ... Percocet has tylenol in it, however, oxycodone and oxycontin are just straight percocet, no tylenol. I believe that oxycodone is the generic name for Roxicodone, which is also obviously percocet without the tylenol. Oxycontin and oxycodone are the same thing, EXCEPT oxycodone is a quick release tablet, and oxycontin is a slow release of the same med. Hydrocodone is the ingredient in Vicodin and Lortab.
Avatar f tn t want withdrawls either. Also, are the effects like that of Lortab or Percocet? Have to go to work and need to know what to expect. Thank you kindly in advance for your assistance.
Avatar f tn I am almost 16 weeks pregnant but I have been prescibed percocet for almost 8 years now if I take them now how will it effect my baby if I stop a couple months before I deliver??
230262 tn?1316645934 Often wondered why lortab can be called in but not percocet. To me the lortab is much more addicting yet easier to get.
Avatar n tn How much oxy are you taking? I would use percocet instead of tabs so u wouldn't have to take so many tabs to help withdrawals.
Avatar n tn Vicodin/Lortab/Hydrocodone-2.5 mg, 5mg 7.5 mg,(ES) 10 mg, they come with 500-750 mg of Acetem. Norco(=vicoden/hydrocodone too) 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, they usually come with 250 mg acetem.(Tylenol) Percocet/Percodan (Oxycodone) 5mg, 10mg anywhere from 250-750 mg (tylenol) Oxycontin usually comes in 10, 20,60,80 mg and typically doesn't have any tylenol. Morphine comes is pill form as well as intravenous for severe pain.
Avatar n tn As for my question, before yesterday I had been taking lortab and percocet for pain, yesterday I was prescribed an extended release morphine and lortab for breakthrough pain. I took the first tablet this morning and I like I am slow, mentally. Is this normal and will it last while I am on this medication? It is not to the point to where I cannot perform my job or drive, etc., but I feel like I just woke up.
8487796 tn?1398343727 testing positive for hydrocodone. The doc says it has to be lortab or dilodid -which I am absolutely not taking either of! (I mean heck, I can't take the whole doses of what they give me most of the time) I'm taking taking Percocet, Opana ER, Lorzone, diazepam, Lyrica, & occasionally a Lidoderm patch. This same thing happened to me about a year & a half ago, at a different doc's office, using a different pharmacy at the time.... I don't understand. How can this be?
2079360 tn?1337016057 Ok so I pulled a muscle in my back & my OB gave me lortab. I know she wouldn't prescribe anything that would harm me or the baby but I'm still skeptical... Is anyone else like this about doctors advice & recommendations? A first time mother & very cautious!
Avatar f tn I have been taking vicodin, lortab, and percocet (not all at once) throughout my pregnancy with the supervision of my Dr. for a very painful neurological disorder. My Dr's have told me that their only concern is that if we cannot get me off these pills (by weaning) by the time that the baby is born that the baby could face withdrawls.
Avatar f tn It started with lortab 5mg a few times a day... Then after a few surgeries later I was prescribed to lortab 7.5 and Percocet 7.5 for the pain. I am about 8 weeks out of surgery, and the dr. Is still prescribing me these meds. Tomorrow will be day 2 without anything. I have asked my boyfriend to hide them from me, because I know that I was getting out of control, and could not believe how many prescriptions these dr. Keep giving me.
Avatar m tn I am going to quit taking my medication tomorrow, I have been taking lortab and percocet for 2 years now.The first year I was taking lortab until it didnt work anymore, and I was taking 8-9 a day, then I told the dr. that I needed something stronger,so he gave me percocet 10/325.I was fine only taking about 3-4 a day,but it has progressed to about 6-7a day for almost a year now.
Avatar m tn Are you ONLY using percocet, or are they using other medications in conjunction with the percocet? I know that my mom is on a whole plethora of drugs to compliment. She takes lortab for the pain, baclofen for the spasms, tizanidine to help her muscles relax, xanax for when the tizanidine doesn't help, and effexor XR (both for depression and the neurological pain relief benefits). There may be one other I'm not remembering as well.
Avatar f tn We are trying to wean him off of the oxy with percocet. He has gone from taking oxy to about 10 percocet a day to about 5 percocets a day now. My question is he has been having some chest pains through out the day for last 3 days since he has dropped down to 5 a day, is this normal? Should I be getting him to a doctor or is this a normal withdrawal?
Avatar f tn I've been in your situation before - when I moved from Florida to Utah, I couldn't get into a doctor soon enough and even with 8 months of pain management records, the local ER gave me 1 days worth of 30% of my dose - for care over the next month while I waited to get into a local pain management doctor, I was referred to a methadone maintaince clinic for PAIN MANAGEMENT... All thanks to the failed war on drugs.
1526481 tn?1291629540 I dont want to be sick like that!! So this is it. This is where I draw the line in the sand. Lortab was great...lortab isnt great anymore. Percocet would start out great...then it would not be great anymore... I havent taken a 5 since I read the posts yesterday and I am waiting for the withdrawals. I dont know what I am gonna do about anything else...I just wanted to thank you guys for opening that door and shining a big flash light on that monster in the closet.
Avatar f tn i am currently taking 25 to 30mgs of percocet or lortab 3 to 4 times a day. my question is would i qualify to be in a methadone maintenance program?
Avatar m tn You can quit using the opiate all together for 2 weeks then go back to it at a lower dose, but your tolerance builds much more quickly after doing that. Percocet is stronger than hydrocodone/lortab. About 1 1/2 times stronger (roughly). How often are you having breakthrough pain? Percocet has acetominophen in it. You can get just the oxycodone (quick acting--different from the ms contin).
Avatar f tn Vicodin, Hydrocodone, Lortab and percocet are some of the painkillers that are sometimes prescribed during pregnancy. However its best to avoid ANY medication in the first trimester when the baby is still developing. If you find out you are pregnant it would be best to stop taking the painkillers alltogether. At this point it's probably best to continue to use protection until you are free of the pain meds and your doctor has given you the official go ahead.
11116547 tn?1415690651 I went home with an antibiotic to try to keep from getting an infection, lortab, and percocet for pain management, as well as strong ibuprofen.
Avatar f tn As long as you are open and honest with your OB about your medicine, you will not be in trouble. I had to take pain meds during both pregnancies ( i had kidney stones with my daughter and ended up having surgery at 34wks, and with my sonI had a weird neurological reaction to the pregnancy that ended up with me blind and numb in parts of my body but with horrific headaches). both of my children were both VERY healthy and without any sort of withdrawal/addiction issues.
