I'm getting ready to go cold turkey off Vicoprofen 7.5/200mg. I have clonodine and klonopin also some neurontin which i think have helped when i was getting low. I hope this will only take 7 days max. I'm also on Cymbalta and wellbutrin. Hello. I have been taking about 30 mg of percocet a night for about 2 and a half months. Every now and then I would skip a night. Basically I take 4 7.5 pills between 4-10 pm. If I stop now, would it affect me? Should I taper off or just stop? Is 30 mg a lot or a little of it?
I have been on Vicodin for 6 yrs then the doctor put me on Percocet for the pass year, I was up to about 8 a day. i am helping someone withdraw from percocet. we are trying the "thomas recipie" any better suggestions? hot baths, cold showers, klonopin to step down, l-tyrosine do these things help?
I have been on percocet for 3 years. Up until January I was talking as prescribed. Then in January my brother passed away and my addiction took off. I am now on percocet 10mg and take about 8-10 a day. I need to get off of them. I am not strong enough to do a taper so I am going ct. I am almost at 24 hours. My doctor gave me noroflex, klonopin and tramadol to help with symptoms. I have read lots on tramadol and know i need to be careful.
benzos like valium, klonopin, and xanax have been reccommended to me but if youre going on a week tomorrow the anxiety should start lessening enough to where you might not have to risk getting hooked on more pills. but if it gets bad id say maybe get only a couple from a doc teling em what youre going through and what you need. not much else i can think of for anxiety....colonodine, the blood pressure med is also said to help a lot around here.
Hi All, I have been addicted to 10mg percocet for about 3 years now. It used to not be bad - used to only take about 50-60 per month. In the past 9 months (due to a family tradgedy it has become much worse) I am up to 10 a day or so. I just need off of it. I orginally started it for migraines and then had kidney stones, you know how the story goes. I am not strong enough to taper so I just need to C/T.
I've taken Ativan for anxiety as needed, and my doc mentioned switching to klonopin or xanax since the ativan doesnt work that great anymore...can anyone help?
I forgot to mention, the amount of percocet, vicodin, and tylox (primarily percocet)I have been using on a daily basis. 6 years ago I was introduced to percocet (maybe it was vicodin...no matter, its all the same in one way or another)by a friend who had had a wisdom tooth pulled. I knew nothing about them before that night, though for some reason, I cant ever remember being happy before them....but I guess I was.
I HAVE BEEN TAKING PERCOCET FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW, EVERYDAY! IT STARTED FOR BACK PROBLEMS AND THE AMT. I WAS TAKING WAS OKAY IN THE BEGINNING, THEN I STARTED TAKING MORE AND MORE THAN I SHOULD. IT IS NOW TO THE POINT WHEN I DON'T HAVE ANY LEFT, I AM RUNNING AROUND WORRYING ABOUT WHERE I CAN GET MORE, I AM EVEN GOING IN DEBT FROM BUYING THEM OFF THE STREET. I AM SCARED AND DON'T WANT TO BE IN PAIN ALWAYS, BUT, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO COME OFF THEM WITHOUT HAVING HEART FAILURE OR WHATEVER.
I am trying to take only 10 percocet a day and survive. WHat does 10 percocet equate to in terms of ES vicodin? I am having some pretty nasty nausea at night and heart palpitations and nausea dizzyness. I have cut down overnight from 14 to 15 pills daily to 10 pills daily and it is causing me some of the nastiest withdrawal I have ever had yet from it. I think I tried to taper off to quick, but in the past I have never had to taper like this.
I have constant severe pain in the lower right hand side of . I have been taking 1 percocet pretty much everyday in the afternoon (I can't take it during the day because I work) for almost 3 months. I go to a pain clinc where they put me on Neurontin which makes me too tired to work and tried Bio feedback which didn't work for me. The Percocet helps the pain but I feel I am addicted.
I started taking percocet nine years ago, given to me by an eye doctor for glaucoma, secondary to cataract surgery. I was 36 years old. Stopped the percocet. Withdrawal symptoms were diagnosed as fibromyalgia. Have been on klonopin & ultram since then. Drs vistis too numerous to mention. No dr.came up that my fatigue and pain were due to the meds. Pain due to the 4 hrs. after klonopin wore off. Had decided to try an antidepressant for my "symptoms.
My Dr. persciped Klonopin for axiety. Someone also told me that it is used for withdrawals from narcotics. I use vicoprophen occassionally for migraines and disk pain. Is this a bad combination? I don't want to get addicted to either, but from what I've been reading on the forums, some people have difficulty getting off it.
I have been on Imitrex, Tramadol oh 2 tablets 3 x a day per the neurologist and percocet off and on as needed. Okay then I was on klonopin 0.
I drink very infrequently. Anyway, is Klonopin a drug that I can just take every once in awhile after having drank? Or is Klonopin a drug which you have to take according to a specific regimen?
I get so scared and I already suffer from panic attacks, and take 1mg 3x's a day of Klonopin, on top of heart meds for atrial fibrillation. Like most people, this all started with REAL pain - gallbladder, then later finding out I have probable MS, and I'm in chronic muscular pain, in addition to herniated disks in my c-spine that are sooo painful. I also have a full bottle of promethazine-codeine syrup. I don't know what to do and I'm scared to talk to my doctor. I need to get off this stuff.
I have been taking percocet for about a year now starting at 15 mg a day and working up to about 70mg a day now. I do not have a pescription but took them recreationally. I am young and in the beginning of my career and want to kick this horrible habit before it goes too far. I make some good money but am tired of wasting it on this habit. I have a week off of work starting today and haven't taken a pill in about 24 hours.
Hi.... I've been here briefly before when I was addicted to Percocet. I did finally kick them aftr 3 years use. I have been off them for several months now. Most of the craving has gone away. I do not feel good tho. I used the Percs illegally for energy and a crutch to get thru busy and stressful days that no normal human being could tolerate. So now I have new problems. I do have some depresssion. The oddest thing tho is that I can't stand for anyone to touch me.
Just want to let yawl know getting off opiates is doable ------------you need the right support medication to deal with the worst symptoms -----------I'm in day 3 from c/t off 5o to 7o mg of percocet and I only having RLS and Sleep disturbances ---------I'm no dr.
I posted this in my long long post about opioid withdrawals but no luck so I thought I would do a new thread.... I am coming off percocet 7.525 2 - 5 x a day and oxy 20 mg 2 - 3 x a day for the past couple years. I have a script for clonidine .1 which isn't doing much so I called my regular doc and he is going to put me on Klonopin ( Dosage unknown until I get script tomorrow). From what I can tell these are 2 totally different drugs. Has anyone used Klonopin for opioid withdrawls?
Valium (or another benzodiazepine such as Klonopin, Librium, Ativan or Xanax). Of these, Valium and Klonopin are best suited for tapering since they come in tablet form. Librium is also an excellent detox benzo, but comes in capsules, making it hard to taper the dose. Ativan or Xanax should only be used if you can't get one of the others. 2. Imodium (over the counter, any drug or grocery store). 3. L-Tyrosine (500 mg caps) from the health food store. 4.
Ok so i was taking percocet at first just for recreation. After a while i totally became in love with them. They made me so talkative and so energized. After being caught with them, which i am so greatfull for. I am clean now for about 3 days. I feel great, am in therapy and taking klonopin to help with all the w/d's. How do i prevent a slip up?
I also forgot to mention I suffer from OCD and i am taking klonopin and luvox. Well back to the percocet, I would be taking double the recommended dosage in these days sometimes more or less. In the days I was not taking them I would smoke a half a pack. My father passed away last may and I managed to stop only for two weeks from the percocet. It was a hard time and I have guilt in myself for being high in that time. A little over a month ago I quit both smoking and taking the percocets.
Have been between drs due to job loss/insurance and having a hard time getting refills on my klonopin, and I can't kick the perc habit without the klonopin (I've tried). I can't start the ribaviran treatment until I'm stable on the klonopin again (so I don't have panic attacks and withdral sysmptoms). I LOVE the kolnopin, it has saved my life and I have never had any ill effects from it. Stopped life-long panic attacks cold, in one hour.
Hi All, I have been reading the posts on here for some time and decided that I would finally ask a question of my own because you all seem so helpful. I have been addicted to percocet for 3 years. I was given them for migraines and kidney stones and the doctor has kept me on them for my migraines. I told her that I want to come off of them and tought I could taper but realized I am not strong willed enough. She gave me 90 tramadol (50mg) and said that would relieve the withdrawal symptoms.
Hello. I have Hepatitis C and have been self-medicating with Percocet for a couple years to give me energy and drive to go to work, clean my house and take care of my family, go to school, etc. I just came across it accidently by taking one for a buzz and noticed I felt like cleaning! Weird. Of course now I'm addicted. I just take 1 and a half 5/325's a day, I don't take more cuz I get mean and cranky and too anxious on them if I do.
