If you are only taking 8 pills a day you are below the daily max dose. Percocet have 325mg per pill. So you are taking 2600mg of acetaminophen. They say nowadays not to go above 3000mg and it use to be 4000mg. So I wouldn't worry about it. Just continue tapering down and you will be taking less and less acetaminophen.

Percocet is Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. Percocet is a brand name and there is no liquid Percocet. There is a liquid version of Oxycodone and Acetaminophen called Roxicet, however. It's not necessarily measured in mg's though. It's measured in ml's in which 5ml contaings 5mg of Oxycodone and 325mg of Acetaminophen. I would probably ask for an increase in your patch and maybe moving to a liquid form of the percocet, because if you need it that many times a day, your probably not really getting the full dose and from what I've read the liquid form should be absorbed better, which should give you better pain control. After that, you just get Tylenol or ibuprofen, unless you had a csection or other complication, they may give you percocet. You can get tylenol and ibuprofen in liquid or chewable tablets as well.

Be careful with dosages.I believe you mean 550mg tylenol. In that case your fine. Hydrocodone (AKA.Lortab,Vicodin,Zydone ,Vicoprofen,Ect.). All are a preperation with tylenol/asprin and hydrocodone. Varies in hydrocodone dose from 2.5 (Pediatric dosage) to 15mg (15 mg made by special compound pharmacies. Make sure you read your bottle well. Please follow your doctors instructions! I have only been taking percocet for less than 3 wks now, (had an Acl repair on my knee) and by wk 2 I was on 3 percs a day, then when I dropped down to 2 thats when the horrible withdrawals came. I would get horrible stomach cramping, diarreah, and sweats for about 5hrs or untill my next dose. My ENT made it very clear that I would not be getting a refill on my liquid pain relief (Percocet). The pain is still ridiculous. I found some liquid Tylenol but it doesnt touch the pain. I do believe that my digestion has been sped up, and I believe the Erythromycin sped up the Percocet in my body and essentially made it as if I overdosed. I tried talking to a pharmacist about this, but she said the Percocet would have stayed in my body for a longer period of time, not run through it faster. Dear Doctor, I am a para-medical PhD student, and I used embalmed cadavers for my research. Yesterday I was dissecting blood vessels in muscle tissues. The vessels did have semi-liquid blood inside them. while dissecting I pricked my finger with the scalpel which had some blood on it. The wound wasn't bad, but still bleeding a little. I squeezed some blood out and washed my finger. I am not sure how well the cadaver is embalmed and I know it has not been screened.

As I understand it, oxycodone is percocet in a non time released form. Oxycontin is essentially percocet in a time release form...ie, take on pill now and it's effectiveness should last up to 12 hours...there may be more to it than that. oxycodone's effects usually last approx 4-6 hours.

Well, I should say, unless you use liquid vitamins, but they are seldom all that complete and once in liquid form they are much more prone to rapid oxidation and deterioration, so I personally don't use them.

Hello!! I also abused Percocet. You are early in your withdraw...it is going to take some time. The first week is pure hell I'm not going to sugar coat it. You will get through this!!!!!i am on day 19 today and still dealing with issues. After the first 7 days the physical withdraws will subside quite a bit. Stock up on items in the Thomas recipe...they will help!!!! How much and how long were you taking the percs? Stay strong and good luck to you!!

Some folks do well on Coumadin, others can not tolerate it. If you are afraid of Coumadin, but want something that will help thin the blood, I would suggest the herb "Ginger" this can be purchased in pill form, and it has the same blood thinning properties as aspirin WITHOUT the side effects. Since it appears your A-Fib is not constant I think I would go this route first, oh yes, also, a good, liquid fish oil would keep the blood slippery and clot free.

Well oxycontin is the main ingredient in percocet, however it's not in time released form. The difference is percocet has acetaminophen 325mg to be exact. Increasing the dosage of percocets is bad because of the acet. Alot of times doctors perscribe oxycontin, or roxicets.... because the patients stomach can't handle the acet.
