Percocet in liquid form

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet in liquid form

percocet

If you are only taking 8 pills a day you are below the daily max dose. Percocet have 325mg per pill. So you are taking 2600mg of acetaminophen. They say nowadays not to go above 3000mg and it use to be 4000mg. So I wouldn't worry about it. Just continue tapering down and you will be taking less and less acetaminophen.

Not me, so I choose to keep my eyes on all of the positive things that are waiting for me once I get through it, and it seems like you're doing that too. I wanted to add, on top of everything else that has already been suggested, a heating pad helps me with RLS.

Then she chastises me for not coming to see her sooner, because she says she would have taken a stool sample and go it analysed to see if I need anti-biotics.
OD of Potassium will stop your heart. Therefore, to get enough in pill form requires a prescription. 99 Mgs equals about 3% of our RDA. So, as much as it stinks, you have to eat or drink ( protein shakes) to get enough. Unless you take the whole bottle. Which you can't of course. Hope that makes sense!
When you get a charley horse, massages, stretching, warm baths, and ice are all generally recommended (although none are scientifically proven to work). Those who want relief in pill form can try vitamin B12 supplements." I've had this under the left breast pain for 10 days now and although the intensity of the pain varies it hasn't totally gone away at any time. Out of all the times I went in and complained about the amount of pain the treatments were causing me and the weight gain, only one nurse had documented complaints about weight gain. No one had ever documented the amount of pain the treatments were causing me. I had to go back a week ago and get measurements.

I would probably ask for an increase in your patch and maybe moving to a liquid form of the percocet, because if you need it that many times a day, your probably not really getting the full dose and from what I've read the liquid form should be absorbed better, which should give you better pain control. Good luck, let me know how your appointment goes.
I think most people just refer to that stregnth of pill has a Lortab and that is why it is commonly thought to only come in 10 mg form. I believe wikipedia has a listing of the trademarks under the listing hydrocodone...it lists a few of the different brand names.

Yes! The quick realse morph helps, my doc gave it to me in liquid form - I didn't like that because when I was out and about I didn't have time to measure so, I'd just tip the bottle and guestimate (I think I'd under guestimate because I'd always run out.) I'd did notice that after 8mos of percocet the being trans to morph that it mellowed me out more I was able to sleep better but I missed that burst of energy that I got from the percs. My main suggestion is take as perscribed.
Some folks do well on Coumadin, others can not tolerate it. If you are afraid of Coumadin, but want something that will help thin the blood, I would suggest the herb "Ginger" this can be purchased in pill form, and it has the same blood thinning properties as aspirin WITHOUT the side effects. Since it appears your A-Fib is not constant I think I would go this route first, oh yes, also, a good, liquid fish oil would keep the blood slippery and clot free.

Hey Jen, hope it's ok to call you jen. In my opinion it helps to be very educated on different dugs and exactly how they work on the brain, which receptor sites types of drugs bind to. Being that you were a heroin addict and an oxy addict you've been increasing endorphins in your brain. Any opiate is going to do the same and be just about as addictive just some stronger than others. Oxycodone is a very potent opiate, hydrocodone is also a very potent opiate more potent than even codeine.

I have been a Hospice nurse for 17 years so I know my pain meds very well. This is like poison leaving thru sinuses, but then turning around to but me in the A$$, in the form of bronchitis. I was ready for it. I'm all stocked up, because it has happened before. Just have to e aggressive abut the physical medicine. Lots of VICKS, hot steam .... and NO exertion which would push the bacteria deeper into the lobes of the lungs! And how are all of the rest of my Trama-Poison friends doin this fine evening? Everyone hanging in there? It's freaking poison. They lied!

I have been taking Percocet by prescription since 8/00 for a pain in my upper side. My doc tried just about everything before he let me hsve the Percs. Ibuprofen, Zanaflex, Flexeril, Imiprimine, Etodolac, Prednisone, Vicodan, Napoxen, Ultram...We tried a TENS unit, CT scan, Xrays, bone scan and most recently a nerve block injection from an anastesiologist. I wanted to point out that the bioavailability of liquid IV dilaudid is much higher than the pill form. So 2 mg in pill form will not feel nearly as strong as 2 mg in IV form. So any time you are in the hospital, you may even need less of a dose than what you take in pill form, because it takes less of the liquid for to work.
There are some products that endurance athletes use that are a complete food in liquid form, and are easier to get down than solid food when your body is stressed. Clip2 and Perpetuem are two that I would recommend, and you could get them in a running store or bike shop, or over the internet. Gatorade is more easily available, and will supply some carbs and electrolytes.
This medicine is actually sometimes seen as less addictive than other drugs (or at least easier to come off of), and has less side effects than most of the rest. It is true that the liquid form of Dilaudid given in the hospital is much more potent than the tablet forms. I started Dilaudid when I became too tolerant to Oxycodone. I am so happy with the pain relief it gives me. It is hands down more effective for me than any of the other drugs I was prescribed before it.
