I've had 4 back surgeries, permanent nerve damage, torn miniscus in my knee, degenerative disk disease & arthritis in my back/knee/hip etc. I take four 325 per day of oxycodone aka percocet. I've been with my Dr. for 19 years! Today I was told NO medicine at all showed up in my urine. I've never failed a test in almost 20 years.
Is he taking a UA or a saliva or blood drug test? The metabolites of the percocet will still be in his system. They go away fairly quickly though.....The metabolites for pain pills and heroin show up on drug tests. That is why if you are being drug tested AND you are taking prescription pain meds you need to let that be know-otherwise the assumption is you are on heroin or pills gained illegally.
Why is he concerned about losing his job? You say he is 'addicted' to percs.
ve been using hydrocortisone 1% for years on face as a topical treatment and during 85 day window have also taken percocet, vicodin, and toradol. I would say the use of these 3 were about once a week maximum. never percocet and vicodin at same time. ive also been given an ointment consisting of desonide-nizoral for same treatment as hydrocortisone cream. did any of these Rx's affect my EIA test? is 85 days proper window?
Do you know what type of test this was? As in do they just do a quick test strip in the office? Or do they send it out to a lab that takes some days to get it back?
You should be able to ask them this question.
And didn't you bring in your medications to show them what you have left? This would be the easiest way to show them that you are not "selling" your meds.
The other way is to request an actual blood test be done immediately...
t prescribed anything for pain but took 3 Percocet because I was in excruciating pain, does anyone know if the test for the Subutex & Percocet could be considered a "false positive" (for the percocet) since they are both opiates? I know the subs are only a partial but obviously I don't want to get in trouble. Thank you.
It all depends on the test they use. If they use a basic urine test that only test for opiates then they will test the same. However, if they use a lab for testing it will be able to tell what meds you took.
I can totally understand family issues, etc. But when going to a pain clinic those rules have to be followed. Pain docs are the most watched docs out there. So there license is on the line which means many times they will fire the patient to protect their license...
t tell the hospital the quantity of fiorinal she is used to taking (about 12 a day) so if she has percocet will that help her not go into withdrawal? I know she had my dad carry a ton of fiorinal in the hospital in his briefcase. I'm not sure why the doc would specifically prefer percocet over the fiorinal but she does have constipation issues and the nurse asked about this so maybe that's why?
Anyway, I'm hoping my mom will be okay if they give her the percocet instead.

Last minute my nurse practitioner at my dosage for Percocet 7 to Percocet tens I had an obstruction in my small intestines when I go back into this morning to my doctor they cut me loose and said that they had to let me go because they did a mouth swab drug test on me last month for cocaine in my system it's a lie I don't do cocaine I would never touch cocaine what can I do about this

t think much about because i know i only take the medication he gives me which are hydrocodone10 and gabapentin and tizanidine well when he came back in the room he ask me when I took my last pain pill and if I had been taking percocet and trading my pills for them. I told him no he said well your drug test came back positive for percocet and no hydrocodone in your urine. He said he was sending off and results would be back in a week.
When he ran out my mom asked me to pick her eye up for the doctors to put it back in. I fished around in the blood on the floor in vain. I was wrist deep in blood and could not find her eye. Fortunately it was still in her head, I just couldn't tell. In court his attorney was an elected official that is a corrupt midget. He was treated like a king. We were treated to the worst of the judicial system. He was released.
I only take 2 10mg pills in the morning. (10 / 325 percocet). Nothing in the afternoon and nothing in the evening. Just 2 in the morning and it makes me feel good for about 3 hours.
The problem is that now I am getting shakes. Usually in the late afternoon, and always in the evening, I am getting shakes on the inside. Not bad shakes, just slightly. Sometimes I still get it in the AM even after I take the 2 pills.
