When I was still on Peg/Riba combo tx for HCV, the Dr allowed me 2 Percocet a day which worked great and my ALT stayed in the 20’s. Now that I’m back at work, I don’t want to take the Percocet because I have a lot of driving to do so I switched to Advil during the day and look what happened to my ALT. I’m trying to cut back on the Advil so hopefully the next blood test will show my ALT coming back down and Platelets going back up.

I'm perplexed. I've had 4 back surgeries, permanent nerve damage, torn miniscus in my knee, degenerative disk disease & arthritis in my back/knee/hip etc. I take four 325 per day of oxycodone aka percocet. I've been with my Dr. for 19 years! Today I was told NO medicine at all showed up in my urine. I've never failed a test in almost 20 years.

what is used to detox from percocet and how long does it take with drugs or cold turkey?

3 months into tx, my ALT had returned to normal and stayed in the mid to upper 20’s throughout tx and was still in the 20’s even after being off of the Riba for a month. Everything was looking good and certain levels in my blood work were starting to return to normal. I was feeling better after stopping the Riba but in the last month or 2 I have started noticing more side effects like increased joint, bone and muscle pains, headaches lasting a week, memory loss, and a feeling of Vertigo…..

t tell the hospital the quantity of fiorinal she is used to taking (about 12 a day) so if she has percocet will that help her not go into withdrawal? I know she had my dad carry a ton of fiorinal in the hospital in his briefcase. I'm not sure why the doc would specifically prefer percocet over the fiorinal but she does have constipation issues and the nurse asked about this so maybe that's why? Anyway, I'm hoping my mom will be okay if they give her the percocet instead. Thanks!

After finding this site and reading several of the posts I just wanted to get on and vent a bit. Started the patch several years ago after trying various other (Percocet, Methadone, etc....) methods to control leg pains due to artery/vein blockage below both knees. My vascular surgeon does not want to operate due to my extensive heart history. Went clear up to the 100mcg patch and just totally felt like sheet. Moody, tired, anxious. You name it, I felt it.

I have been on methadone and percocet, very low dose, like 20 mg a day on the methadone and 10 mg a day on the percocet, but it has been probably 15 years that I have been taking this for chronic headaches. Percocet IS oxycodone. Oxycodone is the opiate ingredient in percocet. The -cet part denotes that there is acetominophen (tylenol) in the pill as well, so percocet is actually oxycodone with tylenol.

I have had only had a few previous pain problems in my life. I have to work and have generally just taken Ibuprofen. The last two years I have had increasing pain. Pretty intense the last year. I have to keep my job and home so I still just take Ibuprofen. I found out I had very big benign tumors. I had an artery embolism to try to help. He has taken 6 percocet 10/650 within 3 days and needs to know how long it will stay in his system? He started taking it on Thursday 1/16/08 and last took one on 1/20/08. Is it still in his system today, which is 1/23/08?

My question is, would anyone have any suggestions on a good pain mgmt doctor in the Sarasota,Venice,North Port or Port Charlotte area? I have tried the chiropractor route and that just made things so much more worse that I know had to have these xrays done to see what is the real problem. My family doc prescribes me Percocet 10/650mg 3 times a day but these don't seem to last more then 2-3 hours per pill and she won't increase my dosage becasue she says she is not a pain mgmt doctor.

Hi, I understand that because I used percocet at some point in my pregnancy it will be in my daughters meconium. I am 35 Weeks pregnant and clean from percocet. How possible is it that she test positive for opiates at birth either in her urine or her blood if I have five Weeks left? My doctor knows about this and she warned mw that they will test her at birth. Just how probable is it that she test positive if I am not using as of 35 Weeks.

hey everybody well i never thought id be here at this point in my life. i am 45 yrs.old thankful no children at home. i have been doing percocets for 2 yrs. now crushing and snorting, i know!!!!!!!! i am a recreational user my friend introduced me to them. boy what energy!!! well lets get serious im snorting any where from 20 to 40 every 4 days more if i can get them and we all know how much $ that can be. well i am 15 hrs. clean and it is hell !
