percocet

My name is Erika im 31 and have Rheumatoid arthritis and take norco as well. Anyway, hope your doing okay and I just wanted to say hi and that Im here if you want to talk.
I, too, use Fentanyl and I have Percocet 10/325's for my BT Pain. As far as your question goes, the only safe thing is for you to go by what your Doctor told you when he/she switched you from the Fentanyl to the Methadone. Your Doctor is the only one that should answer that for you as he/she is the only one that knows your history. I hope you will let us know what you find out!! :) I wish you the best and will be looking for your updates..........
I am a huge advocate for anti-opiates for chronic pain. They work for acute pain, pre and post surgery, for broken bones, etc. They do not work for neuropathic chronic pain. You may think your fibro is flaring but it could just be the residual pain of detox. Opiate use over time causes hyperalgesia meaning the opiates create more pain receptors making you feel more pain. Give yourself some time and tell your doc you want to explore non-narcotic holistic ways of managing your pain.
I have arthritis in my knee and in my left foot - but think it is also now in my hip. I was taking percocet for pain but have tried to get off them as I feel I was getting addicted. Right now I am looking for advice - the bottom of my left foot hurts and aches... is there anything you can put in your shoes or on your foot to lessen the pain? It's not swollen, and I don't really want a store bought insert because then it makes it too high for my foot. Any advice would be more than helpful!
I have bad arthritis, leg cramping, and have slept maybe 3 hours a day for the past two weeks. I was given percocet and am only 6 weeks pregnant. Is this really safe?
Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in...I have rheumatoid arthritis and have had to find another way to deal with the legitimate pain. About a month ago I got a TENS unit and it has made a huge difference. I highly recommend them. When we aren't dependent on pain meds, we have to get creative for pain management. Next I am going to try biofeedback. Good luck!
I understand the concerns with addiction, however I get a little worked up when it becomes the main focus of concern for an otherwise legitimate problem. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis, osteo-arthritis, and degenerative disc disease. I broke my back in June at L-2, and have degenerative spine problems at L-3-4-and 5. Also at S-1 and 2, the arthritis has destroyed the discs and I have one that is bulging at S-3. I take Percocet 10/650 one every 6 hours and 350 mg. Soma ever7y 6 hours.
The past 2 surgeries i endured with this new doc turned out to be opn knee surgeries, not the arthroscopic ones i was previously used to... He gave e a scrip for Oxycontin 20mgs 1-2 every 12 hours, and percocet 10's 1-2 every 4-6 as need for breakout pain.... I found myself already at a high tolerance due to having soo many surgeries previously ..... When i decided to stop taking the combination which was roughly around 210mgs a day of oxycodone in my system, it was terrible...
I have been taking up to 20 pills a day of vicodin 10 for massive nerve damage and crippling rheumatoid arthritis and scleroderma! I am only 24 yrs old and my doctor switched me to percocet because of the ant of Tylenol I'm consuming is there going to be any withdrawal switching medications.... I would rather not take any of this god awful stuff but I am in acute pain.
I've decided while I go through this I would create an account and ask for some advice. I've been addicted to Percocet and Vicodin for about 2 years (maybe a bit more?). I've gotten to the point if I get 75 5mg percocets I will take them within 6 days (or less) or if I get 30 10mg Norco's I generally finish those in 3-4 days. My tolerance is extremely high. I have Ulcerative Colitis and that is my main issue. I also suffer from chronic headaches, neck pain, rib pain and back pain.
Diabetes II Acid Reflux Foot Neuropathy Depression Irritable Bowel Fibromyalgia Restless Leg High Blood Pressure Spastic Colon Kidney Stones Kidney Disease Rheumatoid Arthritis Osteoarthritis Chronic Anemia Pulmonary Problems (breathing) I'm on several meds that contribute to weight gain, and yet constantly browbeat about losing weight because I'm fat...
I am asking this for my grandmother who is 72 with debilitating rheumatoid arthritis. She has lived with severe pain for as long as I can remember. Her arthritis medicine helps but after years of taking it has about damaged her stomach completely (it's very hard on the stomach) and most pain meds don't phase her hurting. Anyway, her doctor put her on Oxycontin 2 days ago after I begged her to ask him for it when I heard it was good for her kind of pain.
If you have high WBC (could be slightly high if you have a chronic illness like rheumatoid arthritis, or lupus or IBS etc), please discuss with your doctor. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
She also said there is a new drug out that is supposed to help with nerve pain, but she had to check into it and make sure it does not cause too much drowsiness. I have been taking percocet for two years(about 10 a day) and she wants me to get off of them before I get addicted.
Since taking accutane i have since developed kidney damage as well as rheumatoid arthritis. It was then that I started the pain killers. Generally speaking I have high tolerances for ANY meds, so it didn't take long to build the "tolerance". So I went from having to take 1-3 Vicodin ES to 4-6 and 10-12 and have taken as many as 22 Vicodin HP per day recently. So, here I sit on the eve of my cold turkey without any idea what hell is in store for me.
I was initially prescribed Percocet 10/325 for my injury related pain about 4 years ago. Although at the time I was extremely naïve about pain killers and prescribed narcotics, I soon learned the truth. Although I wanted to put away the pills, the transition from being a happily married family man with a beautiful wife and a career to a retired widower dad in a week was too much for me to handle and stopped me from quitting at the time.
Rheumatoid arthritis will be positive for Rheumatoid factor and you have to take medications for long term for not getting any problems in your heart etc. Take care!
Since I can remember I've had a bad limp and always leg pain in both sides even now in life. At 24 I had a hip replacement and at 25 diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and fibromyalgia. I was doing Remicaid Infusions, high doses of prednisone, methotrexate, percocet, among other anti-inflams. My rhemy didn't seem to believe me that I still was having bad leg pain...Does anyone know if SCFE can cause leg pain later on in life???
My last rheumatologist treating was treating me for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylarthritis with Lyrica, Celebrex, Sulfasalazine for 3 years, and the pain has totally escalated out of control as Dallas heats up. I saw a new rheumatologist today who discussed Fibromyalgia with me today for first time by any doctor. She stated that she has never dealt with an HIV+ person, POSSIBLY misdiagnosed with RA/AS, and she is going to have to research.
I have been taking 50mg of Tramadol once a day for about a year now for Rheumatoid Arthritis pain. I just got some steroid shots that have alleviated much of the pain. I don't need the Tramadol anymore will I experience withdrawal at this dose if I go cold turkey?
I have recently detoxed from Percocet and codeine and feel like I have no options for pain control now. I have rheumatoid arthritis and as a result of this have a torn Tfcc ligament that now requires surgery. My doctors do not want to treat me for pain because of my addiction so I'm looking up solutions myself. My question is can someone with opiate dependence take the fentanyl patch? Has anyone been in this situation!
sad anniversary of enduring constant agonizing pain in my leg and also pretty much everywhere (feet, knees pain and weakness) I did get an ANA, ESR, ANCA, RA factors being investigated and it is all normal. Rheumatoid Arthritis was ruled out and Fibromyalgia score 9, so too low apparently for this disease. Bone scan was normal too. Heat brings me comfort, but I'm never pain free. I stopped taking Topamax as it alter my eating habits so much that I was virtually living off yogourt.
I have crossover autoimmune diseases including fybromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, neuropathies and daily migraines. I am on Opana 15 mg. 2 x daily, Percocet 10-325 mg. 3 x daily, amitiza, mirilax, ambien, xanax, cymbalta, creon 20 w/meals, imitrex, treximet & frova as needed, robaxin, nexium, carafate, lisinopril, levothyroxine .25 mg., fosamax & folic acid, a multi vitamin, vitamin c & calcium daily.
He helped me through detox, (hell). A couple months later, I got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Doc put me on so many different kinds of pills, finally, percocet, and 20 mg oxy's. I just use them as prescribed, but, because I have a much higher tolerance than the doctor realizes, my prescription lasts about half as long as it should. That's where I'm at now. Second day without them, and 6 days til I can fill my scrip. I really hate this.
Have you ever done yoga? I suffer from Rheumatoid arthritis and my joints have been really bad since detox (27 days for me) Yoga really helps-a lot...as do hot baths and infrared saunas. Swimming would also be good. Congratulations on your clean time and happy New Year...
I have been taking Morphine Sulf 30 MG ER tabs off and on for about 2 months due to rheumatoid arthritis pain. I have not abused them in any way. I took a tablet 2 days ago, and things really fell apart last night. Here are the things I've been experiencing over the last 1-1/2 days: 1) Insomnia; 2) Restless legs; 3) sneezing; 4) diahrea; 5) Feel like ****; 6) Cold and hot flashes; 7) my eyes tear up; and 8) achy. Is there a way to taper off these things?
I was seen by the rheumatolosist again within 24 hours, blood was taken and a week later I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. It has to be taken into consideration thought that I had a predisposition for RA to begin with. My mother had it so severely that she was in a wheelchair and her mother had it as well. After a little bit of research it was also discovered that I had tested for a positive Rheumatoid Factor back in 2002.
I have to control my arthritis because if I don't control it, (according to the lady at the pregnancy risk hotline we talked to today) Rheumatoid ARthritis puts me at risk for still birth and preterm labor. She said the Enbrel can be taken up to one week before I deliver. Which is a miracle, really, because I have had such a horrible flare the last two days. And it's gotten bad REALLY fast. So I was all excited to be able to give myself an Enbrel shot - knowing how well it helps me.
You should discuss other treatment modalities specific for rheumatoid arthritis pain. There is really no easy way of detoxing from home. I have dealt with hundreds of addicts who have all told me horror stories of doing it by themselves. I would only guess that if are successful in doing it at home you don't end up in my clinic.
MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED PREDNIZONE FOR MY PYODERMA-GANGRANOSA AND MY RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS,IT HAS CAUSED WEIGHT GAIN THATS HARD TO TAKE OFF, I TAKE VARIOUS OTHER MEDS FOR MY DIABETES AND PREVIOUS STROKES. MY FACE IS ROUND AND SWOLLEN LOOKING, THIS WEIGHT GAIN HAS AGGRAVATED MY ARTHRITIS AND MADE ME MORE TIRED THAN I WAS. I HAVE HAD A MASTECTOMY OF MY LEFT BREAST,& HYPERTENSION.
