I'm not a doctor and I can't say for sure, but it seems unlikely that a low dose Xanax would interfere with the Dig. If you really don't want to check with the doctor, try calling your pharmacist. He/she should be able to let you know for sure.

My friend is pretty much self-medicating himself using a therapists help for prescriptions, and I'm worried about the interactions/addictiveness.

Percocet can depress your respiratory system and Lorazepam is a sedative. They can be dangerous taken together because of the risk of OD. But if he has been taking them together for awhile and is under a doctors care he should be fine. I was hooked on Percocet and would take Lorazepam sometimes for panic attacks, never had a problem. I was also on anti-depressants. There is a risk. How much of each is he taking?
I went to a pain management clinic for over 15 years but I cannot find a new clinic that will accept me because I take Xanax AND I CANNOT COME OFF THEM I have tried several times. My psychiatrist has even written a letter to some clinics stating I cannot come off of the Xanax but they still refuse to take me and want to put me on Suboxone and I do not know what to do. I CANNOT TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE.
It's nearly impossible to gage the interactions between medications and supplements because supplements are not regulated and/or tested to the extent that medications are. My best and only advice would be to ask your physician, even he/she may draw a blank.
Hello I am going to go off a 3 year 4 -6 a day Percocet habit on Friday alone .. I have to do this for myself my children and my new job that I start in two weeks . My dr recently prescribed me Xanax and celexa for anxiety and depression but I was to scared to tell him about the pills I have been taking ... I have not started the celexa because I am scared it will interact with the Percocet and haven't taken Amy Xanax because i haven't needed it ..
The best thing to do would be to call a pharmacist and ask them if there would be any drug interactions between the antibiotic and either one of the pain meds. To the best of my knowledge, there are no interactions between pain meds and antibiotics, because I have been on various pain meds for the last 10 years now and have taken many different antibiotics in that time with no problem,but not being a trained, licensed medical person I cannot TELL you to take anything.
I know for sure there are no interactions with the libruim or the other meds i take, and i am fully aware of the effects of the librium, the long term, short term effects of using it, and how it affects me. The reason im changing docs is to get a script for librium, becuase my current doc is stubbornly against prescribing benzodines, even though he's hurting the one or two percent of americans who actually need , and could benefit from these medicines. I was left with anxiety and insomnia from my prior treatment. I take 5mg Ambien and .05mg Xanax in the evenings to help me relax and sleep. I also suffer from chronic back pain and use .25mg of Oxycodone when needed. I also use a drug called Acyclovir 200mg daily to control herpes virus. My concern is that these drugs may effect the treatment with Sovaldi/Olysio. I want to beat this virus this time! My Dr.
