percocet

Avatar f tn Hello, You may want to post this in the Substance Abuse Forum, just go up to the top and click on Forums and you will find it. There is a lot of great support and help there - I am also a member. Usually a week and the pyhsical symptoms subside. There is a Thomas Recipe over there along with other vitamins you can get that will somewhat ease the symptoms. You'll also get a lot more ideas and suggestions from the wonderful people over there!
Avatar f tn This time it was 30 milligrams of vicodin, with a two month prescription of percocet 10 milligram mixed in at three times a day. I tapered the percocet and 36 hours ago quit the vicodin. My body feels achy, but I havent had the restless leg which was a night mare last november and I have yet to have diareeham, and i have slept more than i did when I quit before. I am praying that these last 40 hours are just toying with me and it will hit me all at once.
Avatar n tn What vitamins/minerals should I take as I withdraw from percocet; Any excercises?; What can help me with my anxiety attacks? thank you.
Avatar f tn Recently gave birth two months ago by csection, prescribed percocet and took it normally with no problem. I believe I'm suffering from post partum as well and I'm not trying to make any excuses for myself but I think that I may have started this for a way to cope with all the dramatic events in my life lately. Well I bumped up to oxycontin 40mg and have been taking them for two months maybe two a day. I want to stop more than anything! My problem is the detoxing.
Avatar m tn if not i would strongly suggest you start and go get a good multivitamin some vitamin b12 and b6 some vitamin c, magnesium, potassium, valerian root and melatonin well if you decide to take my advice with the vitamins let me know and i will help you out and let you know what each of them are for and whatnot but these things will help and will also speed up the detox process Good Luck and Godspeed ABritt
Avatar f tn All along I have taken Vicoden for about 5 years, and then I felt a little better, now I have been on Percocet for the last 3 to 4 years,, and this is the worst. I take 2/ 10mg325 Percocets at a time, about 4 times a day, with little relief from the pain, pinched nerve, in my SI joint. I work on patients, and it aggravates the pain, I also work about 11 to 12 hrs 2 days a week. I have had recent injections, they are not helping.
Avatar m tn It all started when i got a tooth pulled. I was on the percocet, while on them i still had to go to work and it just made the day fly by. It made me concentrate more..It made everything better....until now. I am so consumed with this ****** addiction and im ready to kick this habit. It has effected myself,my family,my financial security and my relationship...I spend about $80 a day 7 days a week. You do the math..Its terrible.
1565432 tn?1295252598 There are no problems with narcotics and pregnancy. Especially as early as you are. Percocet is also a very mild narcotic. You can take it safely and in fact pain will cause stress and many other related problems which are harmful for the baby. I have a disease and was on much stronger narcotics for my whole pregnancy - I have a healthy happy 4 year old and 2 month old. Don't worry!
Avatar f tn Hello I am going to go off a 3 year 4 -6 a day Percocet habit on Friday alone .. I have to do this for myself my children and my new job that I start in two weeks . My dr recently prescribed me Xanax and celexa for anxiety and depression but I was to scared to tell him about the pills I have been taking ... I have not started the celexa because I am scared it will interact with the Percocet and haven't taken Amy Xanax because i haven't needed it ..
1080427 tn?1256072953 You will probably still have cravings but cravings only last 15 seconds typically but with percocet and hydrocodone, normally on the 5th day you will feel a whole lot better no joke. Hope everything works out for you .
Avatar m tn I have been taking Percocet for 9 months now. At most 4 5/325s per day. For the past month I have been cutting down. At noon today makes 24 hours with none. Right now my legs feel like they want to jump all over the house. I also feel like my skin is crawling. I do have legitimate pain issues from surgical adhesions, fibromyalgia and nerve damage. I am trying to manage that pain with over the counter meds, vitamins, and SNRIs now. I don't have anyone I can turn to for help.
Avatar n tn I drink whey protein shakes you can get it at walmart for 12 bucks its full of what your body need to heal it has vitamins and amino acids in it that are necessary for proper brain function the protein also is necessary to help heal the brain....you can get liquid B- complex for 6 bucks there also and it will also help with the energy thing...none of these are quick cures but all will help with time the advise on aftercare is good also..
Avatar n tn I do use restless leg tablets from Walgreens but not really working great. Any vitamins or anything to help and should i wean further or cold turkey from this point. Just worried about the pacemaker I have and causing worse problems.
Avatar m tn These are vitamins and suppliments that will help your body readjust and replentish that which the pain pills interfered with.. So thats a brief picture of what to expect..Everyone is different so depending on how long you have been taking the meds and the quantities on a daily basis, you may not get hit hard with real bad withdrawals and rebound rather quickly.. Hope this helps some..
Avatar n tn is there anything i can do at home to help ease the withdrawl symptoms that i have towards percocet. i have no insurance and i am very miserable. i want to get off of them but it is so hard.
Avatar m tn I can relate to all of you on the symptoms your having from not taking percocet I have been taking percocet for about two years now. I work alot and finding time to curb this addiction is becoming very difficult. I have tried many times to kick this thing every time i have failed. The worst part for me is the restless sleep and that sick feeling. I would also prefer to stop cold turkey but I think I might need some help.
562343 tn?1233601924 also on the right side of the screen on the top check out the Health Pages the Thomas Recipe is awesome and all the vitamins and amino protocol are very helpful... replacing things the drugs stole from our bodies while using! I got a GNC gold card and went shopping. Alot of times sleeping is an issue during w/d so try the melatonin to sleep....it's a natural sleep aid. Keep posting all you want! Read on here all you can! You can do this and will be so happy when you have done it....
Avatar f tn I withdrawled from Percocet during my period before conception and am now worried abi ut the health and mental status of my unborn baby I was coming from almost a year long addiction taking about 2 30mg pills a day...can anyone tell me if my baby will b ok??
Avatar m tn I have Gatorade, soup crackers imodium, tylenol pm, bananas, vitamins, pepto, and all the love and support a momma can have. Thank you for your support and your encouragement.
Avatar m tn 30 pm. and i have not had any percocet in almost 21 hours and dont feel to bad as of yet. just a little feeling of dirreha coming on and a little runny nose. weakness headache, and nasea which are all mild at this point. but to be honest i really dont want the percocet. i have them in my cabinet but have no desire. i have done the cold turkey before but like i said i have never been on percocet this long.
Avatar m tn feel a bit stressed and a bit yired but working and drinking lots of water. also instead of the percocet one of the times a day I just take tylenol. so the acetaminophen my body craves is still getting without the oxycodone. thanks for the support.
Avatar f tn I personally would like to see you stop all together. I have arthritis all the way down my spine....and on day 6 of cold turkey my back is actually feeling better. Imagine that. Some nice easy exercise or yoga may help you as well. I've been doing some research and you have to watch vitamins and aceteminophine together. I don't know about "thomas", but the combination can do a number on your liver....especially if you are biabetic and or on hormone replacement.

Avatar m tn Hi I had 2 surgeries over the last few months and I was put on percocet 5/325 for 4-5 months now. after this first month I knew I was addicted as I was taking 10-12 a day. At the end I was taking 20-25 pills a day. I ran out and decided I wanted to quit and went into pretty heavy withdrawals no sleeping, eating, etc. I told my doctor what I was going through and he gave me another script so I could use them to taper down on. I have them held for me so I don't have full access to them.
473384 tn?1210206242 I was on a lot of drugs before the surgery (for 1 yr, up to 120 mgs day combined oxycontin and percocet), and had a lot of drugs right after the operation....for the past 4 weeks I have been steadily tapering down, though, with agreement with my PCP that I will stop completely by july 29th. I am down to about 50mgs percocet/day now. has anyone found that they are just exhausted coming off narcs? I feel I am dragging through the days and all I want to do is stay in bed all day.
Avatar f tn ~Hi and welcome! I too had a monster addiction to percocet,,what you are experiencing is the normal withdrawal side effects coming off them,,symptoms can begin within 12 hours from your last dose and consists of restless legs,,crawling outta skin feeling,,sweating,,diarrhea,,shaky feeling,,depression,,emotional outbursts from anger to crying all of a sudden and nausea/vomiting,,stomach pains,,and flu like symptoms,,stuffy head,,sneezing and runny nose.
728452 tn?1236270454 I had become addicted to percocet and had tried so many times to come off of them myself and just couldn't do it. I would read the posts on the site and they would give me so much encouragement and then I would just fail at withdrawls. I was working and knew I couldn't take time off work to go to an inpatient setting, however my addiction got so out of control, my employer found out and I promptly lost that job. Due to this I was able to go to rehab, but oh was I miserable!
Avatar f tn Thanks for the info and encouragement. I don't want to switch drugs I just want to get off this **** and get my life back! I think I'll start with the vitamins and eating well and keep trying to cut down and then go cold turkey when the time is right.
