percocet

1402969 tn?1324690560 I would say avisg has it right. If you were in basic they wouldn't have given any opiate of any kind. They just wouldn't allow it without sending you to sick bay and in turn you would have been held back to the next cycle. Toradol is a strong nsaid that really does help. They do use it in private medicine. Just talk to your doctor and they will line it up. They also have it in pill form but I know when I had it prescribed the insurance questioned it and my doctor had to talk to them.
1589097 tn?1343433112 I would also call your doctor and make sure you are on the right medication. Different pain medications have different pathways they take. They don't all just work the same for everyone. Always try to stay ahead of the pain. I treat a lot of people who are in pain and their two greatest mistakes are waiting too long to take their medication and frustrating themselves taking the wrong ones.
Avatar n tn STUPID!! So I took percocet 4 a week, and 2 pills 4 x a day.. of 10/325.. Now tis is 48 hours and I am in terrible wd's!! same stuff sweats, rls, insomnia.. ect. Is this from the suboxone or am I going through wd's after taking percocet for a week..it just makes no sense?? how long will this last..please help me...
Avatar f tn Each person must think ahead about this possibility in life and do what is right for them. Furthermore, you should never take Percocet again, as that is a "key" that fits your brain's limbic system (the limbic system of the brain includes the pleasure center) lock perfectly. Even if you had to go to opiates for some catastrophic reason, you should never take Percocet/oxycodone again. Each opiate has its own signature.
620923 tn?1452915648 I got the drain and foley cath out yesterday and was switched to Percocet. I was actually doing pretty good yesterday. Unfortunately last night I had an allergic reaction to the Percocet. So this new stuff they have me on isn't cutting it with the pain in my neck. Now I can barely walk without getting dizzy cause it feels like my head weighs 100 lbs and they are talking about sending me to rehab. I don't need rehab I just need the right combination of pain medication.
1278098 tn?1297646373 I became dependent on them and as my depression worsend from being off work with no money and no compensation from the Canadian Government I just got progessively worse..then I had a nervous breakdown and that was my rock bottom...so ya its been tough..Im going to talk to my Dr about what i can do cuz the pain at times is unbarable!
Avatar n tn It started with vicodine, then norcos, then percocet, now morphine (highest perscription). He goes to work and sleeps. We have no marriage. Im so young and feel like I am alone. There has to be someone out there going thru the same thing? I feel so embarrased posting this, but what do you do as a new wife when you cant go on with a new husband who has an addiction that does not let him live his life? Currently he is on 6 pills and they are all perscribed by a doctor!!!!
1930941 tn?1400107522 t drink anymore until I tried to quit the percocet. Now I am 27 days free from alcohol and percs. I was taking about 8-10 percs (10-325) for about a year. Before I took Vicodin for 2 years but not abuseing it. I am very happy to be clean but I am suffering terribly from joint pain in legs and headaches. I take Advil for joint pain and if the headache is bad I take Excedrin. Does anyone know when this might subside? Is excederin safe for me to take? Any help is greatly appreciate.

Avatar f tn In the end of December I found out that my Boyfriend had been getting Percocet off the street and from people at his work and had relapsed with his opiate addiction which had been kept at bay for the past 4 years. Starting December 29th, 2009, he stopped using. Two days later on December 31st, 2009 he fell snowboarding and separated his AC joint in his right shoulder. I was terrified that this injury would soon lead to a prescription of opiates.
Avatar f tn I am so sorry that you are going through this. Kidney stones are no joke! That is some very intense pain. I have had them several times. The most recent time that I had them, I was given Toradol IV. (It also comes in pill form.) It's non narcotic and it is an amazing anti inflammatory drug. My doctor says that it's as strong as morphine, but without the 'high'. I hope that you are able to get some relief soon. Be sure that you are forcing fluids.
Avatar m tn ve been using hydrocortisone 1% for years on face as a topical treatment and during 85 day window have also taken percocet, vicodin, and toradol. I would say the use of these 3 were about once a week maximum. never percocet and vicodin at same time. ive also been given an ointment consisting of desonide-nizoral for same treatment as hydrocortisone cream. did any of these Rx's affect my EIA test? is 85 days proper window?
Avatar n tn I was clean for almost 19 months and had surgery this week. During my hospital stay, they provided me Lortab Elixir and Percocet elixir when I was sent home. I didn't think about my addiction at all and just went with the flow...meaning I didn't need the med every 4 hours and since leaving almost 3 days ago, only used the med twice. The cool thing now is having an acute awareness of how bad things could get if you let them...
Avatar f tn 5 Effexor, and Trazadone for sleep) 3/13 3 shots of Dilaudid , 1 Toradol and 2 Reglan,3/15 One indusion of DHE and 1 shot of Ativan, 3/18 2 Shots Demerol, Started Fioricet and Percocet 1 daily,1 Toradol and 1 Reglan, Started Prednisone, Started Flexaril 1 daily, 3/20 1 Shot of Benadryl, 1 Shot of Reglan, 1 Shot of Ativan, 1 Infusion of Depecon, Started Depakote 500mg daily. 1736894 tn?1310599736 Many women with endo are also gluten intolerant. I do that and I also take Oregon Wild Harvest Turmeric (I have tried four different brands and this is the only one that works.) (If you have liver problems or are on blood thinners then you cannot take it.) Also my sister has found that vicoproferan (vicadin with a combo of advil) is a great drug.
Avatar n tn I have contacted a couple of doctors and they said that this was temporary and the pain should subside relatively soon (within a week). But, the symptoms are progressing and sensitivity/pain is actually moving up from the injection site. I am weak and also suffering from constipation and difficulty in urinating. Everyone keeps telling me this is normal due to an increased volume at the injection site which is causing inflammation around the nerve.
Avatar f tn yes toradol does work. my last trip to the ER, i told them no narcotics(i still can't believe i did that) and they gave me a shot of toradol. i don't think it's something you can get an Rx for. ijust don't know. what i do know is that your brain will amplify any pain just to keep you in the game.somehow you must find something good to dwell on besides the pain. get moving as soon as possible. being occupied is good medicine for us. 6 days is great! be good to one another.
Avatar f tn As far as afterward, they will give either lortab or percocet. Percocet is MUCH stronger in my opinion and much more hazardous to me. If you stick to less than 7 days, take as prescribed, and keep talking about it, you are going to do fine. Its when we start taking more to feel "better", hiding, sneaking, keeping secrets that our addiction gets the best of us. I would suggest only taking as much as you need to TOLERATE the pain.
1254684 tn?1280006247 Toradol and other NSAID's should not be taken with your asthma...
