Hi there. I'm a 24 year old female and the past 9 or 10 months have been taking percocets on and off. I go through periods of doing them and then don't for a week or two then I do them again. I started out take 2.5 - 5 mg and now take about 7 - 10 mg, but am worried because the bottom right portion of my stomach has been hurting the last couple days.
can i take 2 advils and half a percocet for dental pain?
I have a couple questions concerning possibly having a tummy tuck done. I have 3 children and we are considering a fourth in the next year and a half. Stay addicted, and remain there, or bear with it and eventually come out the other side clean and feeling better. And you will. In about 7 days, take them one by one you will feel so much better. You won't be perfect because there is a lot to repair. But the main symptoms will have subsided. Hang tough.
I would go with the oxycodone (percocet) over the hydrocodone (vicodin), because it's possible to get the oxycodone in it's pure form in a pill without the tylenol in it. The -cet suffix on the percocet is what denotes the acetominophen or Tylenol. In the generic form, it would give the mg strength of the pill (ie, 5/500) and then say APAP on the label.
I'm I having withdrawl or not I stopped taking percocet 40 hrs ago and lying in bed tonight my hands and shoulders were aching so bad I was tossing and turning I got up and took 2 10's Percocet and 1 10 Oxycontin and now I'll spend the rest of the night in my recliner , The question is, is my pain a reaction to stopping the Percocet . I've gone through this time and time again only to have the pain over whelm me .
Ibuprofen and such tends to give me stomach pain and I've been On ibuprofen for years. Heat helps but just for the 30 sex or so the heat is applied. Other than that nothing.
If I need to take a narcotic, it helps the narcotic work better and longer. But it can cause stomach upset and even GI bleeding. (Percocet has Tylenol (acetaminophen) in it so you never want to take that in addiction to your Percocet.)
You can also talk to the pharmacist about ibuprofen and how best to take it with your Percocet. (Also some people find good relief with OTC Aleve.
The withdrawals were only stomach cramps and diarrhea and imodium took care of that. Now I have more withdrawals (I have only been taking the percocet for three months) the worse is the anxiety and goose bump feeling. I am not psychologically addicted, I still want to give my body a rest, so I ordered clonidine from on line. Too bad it hasn't arrived yet. I think I dont want to go back to the percocet even though its much better for the pain.
When i was pregnant i had horrible pain and i was told percocet is harmful to the baby. I would consider speaking to ur ob asap. I jave heard you should not go ct bc the baby will go thru wd and could hurt the baby. Others will come along with their advise but i strongly urge u to tell ur ob it u didnt already. Tht way u can have a plan in place.
Posting an update, am now 6 days post lap, and although still taking some pain meds, I need a lot less (can just take 1/2 Percocet every 6 hours, except a full one at night)
With effort and some pain, I can now pick something up off floor-- wouldn't have tried a few days ago.
Feel incisions and some stabbing pain on accession when I move, am still staying very quiet.
Fatigue is very much still ther, and I guess it is my body's way of getting maximum healing in.
I was prescribed percocet 5 about 6 years ago for endometriosis and other stomach problems. Well the doctors had me on these for about 2 years and moved me up to the 10s. In 2009 I was to be scheduled for a hysterectomy but we had to move. Once we got to the new state, I had to fight with doctors here to do the hysterectomy because of my age. Well at 29 (last year) I was able to get the hysterectomy done. Well after the surgery I tried to quit the pills but the withdrawal was insane.
I have had severl episodes where I have severe stomach cramping, chronic diarrhea (brown water), vomiting and this past time almost passing out. I'm concerned this may be more than just IBS. The triggers: lettuce and tomatos. Any ideas or suggestion because this last episode scared me and my family. Blood pressure went very low as well.
These are vitamins and suppliments that will help your body readjust and replentish that which the pain pills interfered with..
So thats a brief picture of what to expect..Everyone is different so depending on how long you have been taking the meds and the quantities on a daily basis, you may not get hit hard with real bad withdrawals and rebound rather quickly.. Hope this helps some..
Some medications can cause bladder pain, or pain that feels like a bladder or kidney infection.
This has happened to me twice and the pain was awful.My Dr would not believe it was the medication so I had to beg him to be taken off of it. One was a statin and the other was a stomach med. Once I was taken off of the medication the pain stopped. I realize you can't just take your patient of off Percocet or he could have withdrawal.
I am also prescribed percocet and I get 150 pills a month and I take it in addition to extended release morphine for chronic back pain. On average, I take 25 mg of percocet daily and up to 30 mg a day along with 60 mg of morphine per day. I have never had a morning after headache from the percocet.
The maximum dose of acetaminophen that can be taken daily is 4,000 mg. So with 325 mg in each pill, you took well under the maximum dose.
so now a doctor swiched me to percocet 10/325 tylenol and gave me some zantacs. do u think he did a good idead r is he an r -tard. i found no evedince of tylenol causing ulcers or bleeding in the stomach just liver damage if gone over the limit. i hope it helps with my stomach pain. ibeprophen *****.
