Percocet and excedrin

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet and excedrin

percocet

1930941 tn?1400107522 Hey, congrats on 27 days, that's wonderful! I agree with ImDone and Ricart, Excedrin and Tylenol are excellent. I suffer from chronic migraine and if the pain is too bad my Dr. prescribes Toradol (not Tramadol) it's non-narcotic and it's great for pain, if you're not allergic to aspirin maybe you can give it a try.
Avatar f tn I took it because my leg is getting worse (it goes through spurts where it will be bearable and then not) and the Aspirin/Tylenol combo in the Excedrin sometimes helps more because I usually go straight to Motrin, and rarely take Excedrin so my body isn't as used to that one. But along with the much needed energy, today it like made me oddly happy, too.
Avatar f tn I take percocet because I have sever arthritis and only at the most take 3 a day. I do wake up in the mornings sometimes around 2 or 3am to go to the bathroom and then I go back to sleep. I was just wondering if I could take Alteril to maybe help me sleep thru the night. I am hoping within 10 days after the Dr. does a procedure to my back I won't have to take the percocet anymore. I know one time I ran out before my appt and it really did not bother me that much.
Avatar n tn I have 6 percocet left, and cannot refill until 4/3 or so. Should I take them one by one (my usual is 2 per dose) or take one at a time to avoid being ill. I use these for pain, but they do not work as they used to so when I am in pain crying, I take more, and end up running out early. Oh, I am also on MS contin at night (one) extended release, but I still feel it when I am out of percocet. I thought they were both opiates, so why do I get w/d when I am out of percocet? Is it my miond?
1930941 tn?1400107522 t drink anymore until I tried to quit the percocet. Now I am 27 days free from alcohol and percs. I was taking about 8-10 percs (10-325) for about a year. Before I took Vicodin for 2 years but not abuseing it. I am very happy to be clean but I am suffering terribly from joint pain in legs and headaches. I take Advil for joint pain and if the headache is bad I take Excedrin. Does anyone know when this might subside? Is excederin safe for me to take? Any help is greatly appreciate.
Avatar n tn Yes, Excedrin is Acetaminophen 250mg., Aspirin 250mg., and caffeine 65mg. Excedrin Migraine is the same formula (from what I have seen). I'm not sure why they put another label on it that says "migraine" when it is the same thing as regular Excedrin. Don't get me wrong, I think Excedrin is the best OTC pain reliever but for actual migraines....they don't touch them. At least for me.
3837157 tn?1348286069 I took a .5mg Xanex for anxiety about 12 hours ago, but now have a killer headache and want to take an Excedrin for it. Will there be any complications or has the Xanex worked it's way out of my system yet? 21 year old male, about 290lb, don't drink, haven't smoked in a year, no recreational drug use.
Avatar f tn The fact the headaches are severe and respond to Excedrin and not the others is some suggestion it could be migraines, but mild ones as you don't report blurry vision or nausea and migraines are really bad headaches.
Avatar m tn On the phone they asked what I was taking and I rambled off some of them like flexeril and motrin and they interrupted me. They ask if I was taking any anti-depressants. But they never said what they were looking for specifically. They aren't discriminating. They asked for a list of prescriptions from my doctor so they can approve my test.
268911 tn?1213744781 I am wondering what, if any, stomach problems some of you may have had due to pain pill usage. In a VERY WEAK effort to try and taper myself off of norcos I started using Excedrin as a pain supplement and I'm thinking those pills are behind my current situation. These Excedrin contain more acetominephen than the Norco's I'm taking. I've been taking the Excedrin, 4 pills a day, for 6 months and now I have lower abdominal pain that wont go away.
Avatar f tn Hello Rott, Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you found us and took the time to post. I am so very sorry to hear that this manufacturing error has affected you. It's always frightening when we have to change from a medication that we have become comfortable with and that works!! I have been searching for the exact facts on the recall. It appears that the primary concern is that the non-narcotic medications (listed below) may contain the narcotic.
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome to the forum. I used excedrin migrain n it worked for me. Congrats on wanting to get clean. There is support here, but we also stress aftercare. It is essential to longterm recoverty. Good luck n keep posting!
Avatar f tn High doses of acetaminophen are a leading cause of liver damage, and the panel noted that patients who take Percocet and Vicodin for long periods often need higher and higher doses to achieve the same effect.
Avatar f tn Well, ive been to 3 different doctors about my problemfor the past 6 months ive had these weird headaches every single day. They usually start in the morning when i wake up and i get this noise in my ears i hearits hard to explain how it sounds but its kinda like the noise you would hear when you listen to one of those big seashells from the ocean its kind of like that in a way.
Avatar m tn To relieve them, I have taken 2 Excedrin (asprin, acetaminophen and caffeine) and one Claritin-D (before Claritin came onto the market, I was taking something else but I don't remember what it was). They would occur 3 or 4 times a year. They have been steadily increasing in frequency to the point where they occur every other day. My "cure" is always the same, 2 Excedrin and 1 Claritin-D.
3215224 tn?1345829226 I have been taking excederin for at least 20 years. I get up in the morning and take two and take two around three or four o'clock. I have been trying to quite by either cold turkey or taking one in morning then one in afternoon. but i always end up back to taking 2 in morning. I have cut down in the afternoon tho. I have been experiencing some itching and hives with cold sweats.Does that sound right.I also am going threw metapouse. I am on 50mg aday of Pristig.
Avatar n tn I have battled an addiction to Excedrin for almost 15 years now, and can't seem to stop it for good. Is anyone else struggling with this? If so, have you had any success in weaning yourself off?
Avatar m tn I would be on and off of them. I now have been taking excedrin migraine medicine to get rid of the headaches and give me a boost of energy since it has caffeine. The problem is it works good but even though I eat something before I take it, about an hour or so later I am nauseous. Why does this happen if I eat like it says. Does anyone have any insight into this. Thanks .
Avatar n tn I used a TENS unit that I purchased off ebay and put it on my lower back and it helped wonders. If you are unable to attain one a massager helps too. I have an eletric wand that I would plug up and lay on my belly and stretch the cord so it would lay on my calf. It helped quite a bit,but the TENS unit was better. I wish I never let my brother-in-law borrow it because outside of it helping my herniated discs in my neck I had hell with withdrawals last pm.
Avatar f tn ve been taking Bayer Headache, Advil, Motrin, Excedrin, and a couple other store brand non-asprin type pills and NOTHING has given me any relief whatsoever. They gave me a percocet, which also did nothing for me.... I started crying and practically demanded a CAT scan when he tried to brush it off as a normal headache and send me home..
203003 tn?1210855907 s, claritin, it doesnt do anything thats the problem, I took a percocet yesterday and im fine today, no cravings no nothing, i have my head straight, but I really am in pain and my doc did say it was sinusitis, the pain is so unbearable I want to scream, didnt have enough money for the surgery at the time so I delt with it..
Avatar f tn I had chronic migraines and dizzyness instead of morning sick ness (even though I would get nausious from the migrains and light headedness) I ended up having to drink a lot of caffiene and would have to go to the er from time to time because I would have them for days at a time. Eventually I was perscribed percocet and was even given morphine to help releive it. Chocolate has caffiene as well. So maybe its time to call the ob or midwife to see what they suggest.
Avatar n tn I take excedrin sometimes 8 a day. Recently I have been dizzy and felt like the room was moving sideways. My hemogloblin was 6.2 a year ago and I was given a blood transfusion. My daddy has heart problems and my grandmother has altzheimers.
Avatar f tn Which excedrin can you take while pregnant...I've been having migraines for 2 days and Tylenol is not helping. I've always taken excedrin.
505248 tn?1210611005 I take a lot of Excedrin for tension headaches and am wonderingif their the cause for my kidney pain? I am nauseaus and tired all the time. I don't know why I get tension headaches so much but I do go thru the excedrin like candy because the headaches are too much for me to handle.
Avatar n tn I would like to know how much excedrin sinus (aceteminophen 325mg and phenyleprine HCI 5mg) a dehydrated 120 pound female would have to take in order to have it show up in a positive drug screen for MDMA or Ectasy?
Avatar f tn I suffer from migraines and was on Depakote and Aleve daily for two years probably 10 years ago. I changed jobs and the migraines are less and I no longer take a daily preventative. I now only have occasional headaches and take Aleve or Excedrin or Percocet - all of which contain acetametaphin. I have read that it can cause liver disease. Since 75 ALT is not extremely elevated and the Hep panel and liver ultrasound are clear, do I need to be concerned?
655875 tn?1295695107 Right now I'm on my 7th migraine in the last 4 weeks. I have a herniated c5-7 that is compressing on the spinal cord. I've been taking Maxalt with some of my migraines, which does help, but insurance only allows so many in a month and they are expensive. I've been also taking percocet in place of the maxalt, but it does not work as well for the headaches. Is there something I can do to try and prevent these migraines? Are there other natural alternatives rather then medication?
