Percocet and excedrin

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet and excedrin

percocet

I take percocet because I have sever arthritis and only at the most take 3 a day. I do wake up in the mornings sometimes around 2 or 3am to go to the bathroom and then I go back to sleep. I was just wondering if I could take Alteril to maybe help me sleep thru the night. I am hoping within 10 days after the Dr. does a procedure to my back I won't have to take the percocet anymore. I know one time I ran out before my appt and it really did not bother me that much.
Percocet is not a good med for migraines, generally speaking. Have you tried fiorect or something of the like? That is what I use while pg for my migranes. As far as the percocet, you really need to watch that. I have a bad back, bad enough to get me out of nursing after the injury. While pg, I tend to "throw" it out worse due to the excess weight and looser joints. I was given the okay for percocet only after entering my third trimester and only for short term use.
anyway best wishes to u make the decision get REALLY mad at the pills get really sick adn tired and u will be able to do it. U need to for ur family and u. Look up the thomas recipe and spend some of that money u r spending on pills on some vitamins and Highlands restless legs med to get off these things keep posting and u cant sit and rant and rave on here thats what it is for.
I think I am going to stick with the Excedrin PM and just suck it up. I am on five weeks I think into CT do you think I should not be having aches and pains in my whole body still. Or did I start lifting weights to soon? I still feel achey all over??????
I think you need to put down the percocet and xanax and talk with your doc about some clonidine. By your own admission, the percocet isn't giving you much relief. You have been on it for a while, trying to get off the sub. What's going to happen when you stop the percocet? Back to sub to get off of the percocet? Can't keep that up or you will just continue a bad cycle! And the xanax can bite you QUICK. Before long you will find yourself having to taper off of it, if you don't already!
Of course amomium AD is a diffenate thing to have around and when I feel tried I take vivirian a caffine stay away pill and I grin and bear it plus advil and I just discovered excedrin quick tabs and go somewhere I can be alone.
I went most of yesterday feeling pretty good and strong. Then I got a headache and instead of reaching for the excedrin or Tylenol I took Percocet. I ended up taking 4 5mg pills. I now have none left which I think is a good thing. I can't beat myself up about it only move on to today. I can be strong enough to do this. It's crazy what addiction does to you.
If adopted by the Food and Drug Administration, the changes would lower the maximum over-the-counter Tylenol dose and would ban two narcotic painkillers, Vicodin and Percocet, which also contain acetaminophen. Yet another painkiller, propoxyphene, was the target of FDA action on Tuesday. Also sold as Darvon and in an acetaminophen combination called Darvocet, it has been linked to accidental overdoses and suicides.
I took it because my leg is getting worse (it goes through spurts where it will be bearable and then not) and the Aspirin/Tylenol combo in the Excedrin sometimes helps more because I usually go straight to Motrin, and rarely take Excedrin so my body isn't as used to that one. But along with the much needed energy, today it like made me oddly happy, too.
Hey, congrats on 27 days, that's wonderful! I agree with ImDone and Ricart, Excedrin and Tylenol are excellent. I suffer from chronic migraine and if the pain is too bad my Dr. prescribes Toradol (not Tramadol) it's non-narcotic and it's great for pain, if you're not allergic to aspirin maybe you can give it a try.
Same story as always, but today I had more nausea from the baclofen and decided to take 1/2 pill instead of 1 when needed. Taking the Mobic, Lyrica and Percocet seems to help with the pain of the spasms, for the migraine Excedrin Migraine and in last resort Imitrex.
The doctor tried to give me Motrin and send me home even though I told them a couple times that I've been taking Bayer Headache, Advil, Motrin, Excedrin, and a couple other store brand non-asprin type pills and NOTHING has given me any relief whatsoever. They gave me a percocet, which also did nothing for me.... I started crying and practically demanded a CAT scan when he tried to brush it off as a normal headache and send me home..
I think otherwise because it's taking more and more medication to control the pain and I am not taking it responsibly. They have me taking MS Contin twice a day and Percocet 4 times a day for everyday pain and Demerol for severe pain. No matter what I say to the whole team they don't think I'm an addict but I know I am. It's pretty obvious I'm abusing and self medicating because I'm going through a months supply of medications in a matter of days.
Both T3s and percocet have acetaminophen in them, so keep track of your cumulative total. The wine is going to be harder on your liver than either the codeine or the oxycodone.
you need some props and vitamins and excedrin and all sorts of stuff. write me back if you need to , you can get a lot of support here.
The migraines seems to go away after I take a couple of Excedrin Migraine and wash my entire head with cold water or use a cold little pad on the back of my head for a while. therefore I feel better now, was about time.
I am becoming somewhat frustrated with the way a lot of my colleagues practice medicine. Disenchanted, angry would be the other words that could be used. We all get ostensibly that same training and all of us are supposedly in it to help our patients. So, how come have I been getting so many letters lately on my addiction forum from desperate people unable to quit taking the tramadol pills that their own kind doctors have so freely prescribed for them?
Hey , Funny enough could take percocet but never can take ibuprofen lol Oh well first day to wake up 7am and have this to deal with oh well , it is part of it all have to deal with it ......... coffee might help? Check in with you later on , thanks Savas for your input ........... hope your well ?
I have 6 percocet left, and cannot refill until 4/3 or so. Should I take them one by one (my usual is 2 per dose) or take one at a time to avoid being ill. I use these for pain, but they do not work as they used to so when I am in pain crying, I take more, and end up running out early. Oh, I am also on MS contin at night (one) extended release, but I still feel it when I am out of percocet. I thought they were both opiates, so why do I get w/d when I am out of percocet? Is it my miond?
I have severe pain in buttoks region when set down and associated with numbness in my foot and all kind of pain control cannot mask the pain completely and i cannot sit down ???????????????????
I didn't drink anymore until I tried to quit the percocet. Now I am 27 days free from alcohol and percs. I was taking about 8-10 percs (10-325) for about a year. Before I took Vicodin for 2 years but not abuseing it. I am very happy to be clean but I am suffering terribly from joint pain in legs and headaches. I take Advil for joint pain and if the headache is bad I take Excedrin. Does anyone know when this might subside? Is excederin safe for me to take?
I couldnt go to school but my parents keeped yelling at me to get up even after i took 4 advil and laid down for 44min.s I felt so weak. they didnt understand what was going on i was crying and my mom keepede saying " Oh, come on it cant hurt that bad" but it did. I went back to bed and they left me alone but my mom keeps saying i cant miss school.

She yells when a cat brushes against her leg, she waves them around to calm them down, and she is sobbing as I type this. She has taken percocet a couple times, which eases her pain. This is my question: Why is she in pain? Withdrawels due to vicodin? If this was the case, wouldn't her pain be more global as opposed to the focal point being in her legs? And does percocet contain the same addictive properties as vicodin?
So I dug up some more info that I wanna share ... in case you are dying of curiousity. Or need more info like I do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http***mb.rxlist.com/rxboard/ultram.pl?noframes;read=3179 not just for breakfast anymore Posted By: mkny Date: Friday, 21 October 2005, at 3:53 a.m.
Thanks for your reply. Is there anything that helps your headaches? Tylenol, Advil, Excedrin and Flexeril do not help. I get a little help from Percocet, but I try not to take it. I get a headache about two days after taking Humira. It is a pulsating near my right eye, ear and neck. The side of my head feels pressurized and I usually get nauseas. Movement of my neck makes it much worse. The headaches started about six weeks into the Humira treatment.
The CT scan came back fine. But the headache is STILL here. Excedrin, Vicodin, Percocet...nothing is helping. Sometimes it will help for a bit but the headache comes back. I guess I should make an appointment with my neurologist. Any ideas what this could be? I've had migraines before but never for this many days. HELP!
Would the Fentanyl patch be a good change for me to use in place of the Neurontin, Vicodin and/or Percocet? The tylenol in the Vicodin and percocet are of concern to me as I used a lot of that back in the 70s and 80s and it also does nothing for pain for me, i.e., if I have a headache, I have to take ibuprofin or excedrin and I'd rather be on one pain RX.I also have arthritic cervical spondylosis and dr has me on Celerex for that. Would the Fentanyl patch take care of that pain also?
I took excedrin (WHICH ALWAYS WORKS FOR ME) and it did not go away. I went to the doctor the next day and he gave me Midrin. I took the Midrin for 3 days, it did not help what-so-ever. So, I slowly decreased the Midrin over the next couple days. I started to take full doses of Ibprofen, Tylenol and Asprin together thinking the amount in the Excedrin just wasn't working and that did not help. I have also put biofreeze and/or Head On on my neck and forehead/temples which helps a little.
