percocet and driving

When I was still on Peg/Riba combo tx for HCV, the Dr allowed me 2 Percocet a day which worked great and my ALT stayed in the 20’s. Now that I’m back at work, I don’t want to take the Percocet because I have a lot of driving to do so I switched to Advil during the day and look what happened to my ALT. I’m trying to cut back on the Advil so hopefully the next blood test will show my ALT coming back down and Platelets going back up.

i began taking percocet about 2 years ago to help with kidney stones and endometriosis pain. 1 to 4 percs a day as needed. after sometime the percs were not helping so i asked my dr for something else. He gave me 10mg oxycotin. i had the script filled 3 times, once for surgery. when i was done with the oxycotin. I went through severe withdrawal, started with depression and quickly progressed into my worst nightmare.

Not only did i drop this but marijuana, subboxone, xanax, and alchol,were all also dropped yesterday as well. Its day 2 and i barley made it through work. Will this last long, and will it get worse.Any help would be appreciated. I work 12 houra day.

I was on the Norco 10/325 but had become immune to the Hydrocodone after being on it since 2003 and so they switched me to Percocet 10/325 (Oxycodone) but I just take a 1/2 pill (the equivalent of a 5/325 Percocet) every 8 hours or as needed. I cantake 1 full Percocet but I don't need it. Usually I will only take 1 a day maybe 2 when I have the BT pain. My goal is to not have to take so many pills because I take a total of 16 pills a day for OTHER med. problems (heart, BP, cholesterol, etc.

Maybe I’m better off just taking a Percocet to get me through the day. I can get by on a lot less Percocet than I can Advil.

I was taking 50mg.oyxcontin a.m. and 40 mg. p.m. I am down to 10 mg. now but I'm so tired. I was also taking Percocet for break thru pain 2-4 / day for about 2 years. The withdrawal hasn't been that bad. Sweats, a bit jittery but mostly fatigue and depression. I don't want to do anything. It's the fatigue that is driving me crazy. Thanks for your help.

I only started taking percocet yesterday, after suffering for 4 days with severe pain. I had tried everything, NSAIDS, hot wet compresses, I went for massages 4 days in a row! I'm going to have to go back and get an MRI, but in the meantime, I need to take the percocets. I just don't know if I should continue taking the subs while I am on the percocet. I want off the subs really bad, but I only got 15 percs and I don't know how long it will take me to get another Dr appt.

As for my question, before yesterday I had been taking lortab and percocet for pain, yesterday I was prescribed an extended release morphine and lortab for breakthrough pain. I took the first tablet this morning and I like I am slow, mentally. Is this normal and will it last while I am on this medication? It is not to the point to where I cannot perform my job or drive, etc., but I feel like I just woke up.

I am 6 weeks pregnant and have kidney problems. The ER Doctor gave me Percocet and Promethazine and I can't remember if I can take them together.

I have a full time job and am raising my grandson and other activites with my church and the PTO, and they are not aware of my dependance on this drug. Help....

I am currently recovering from back surgery and am taking 2 Percocet 10mg every 8 hours per the directions. I ran out today and tomorrow is a holiday so I won't be able to get a script until Tuesday. I am not good at keeping track b/c the scripts are only for 15 days while most are for a month, but anyway. I am also prescribed percocet and I get 150 pills a month and I take it in addition to extended release morphine for chronic back pain. On average, I take 25 mg of percocet daily and up to 30 mg a day along with 60 mg of morphine per day. I have never had a morning after headache from the percocet. The maximum dose of acetaminophen that can be taken daily is 4,000 mg. So with 325 mg in each pill, you took well under the maximum dose.

Percocet can depress your respiratory system and Lorazepam is a sedative. They can be dangerous taken together because of the risk of OD. But if he has been taking them together for awhile and is under a doctors care he should be fine. I was hooked on Percocet and would take Lorazepam sometimes for panic attacks, never had a problem. I was also on anti-depressants. There is a risk. How much of each is he taking?

I was having contractions consistently 4 minutes apart since last night. So I went it got monitored and checked, and I'm only at a one! And omg getting checked really hurt!! They gave me percocet and sent me home which surprised me but definetly help although I think it may have stopped my contractions or I'm just feeling them less. And honestly percocet and dilaudid both carry the same risks (although really the biggest risk is the baby being born dependent and since you're only 14wks that's really not an issue unless you continue to have kidney stones throughout the pregnancy like I did with my firstborn).
