percocet

Avatar f tn Alcohol increases the affect but that can make it more dangerous. A good resource is the pharmacist. Also search on Google for alcohol and Lorazepam, percocet reactions.
Avatar n tn My major and only chemical dependence issue was the 3 1/2 yr. Percocet habit that I am recovering from... Anyway, my wife and I decided to celebrate my 10th day clean and go out for dinner. Well, to make a long story short we ordered a bottle of wine and by the third glass I turned into an angry monster. Stuff was coming out of my mouth that I couldn't believe ( even though, as I'm writing this I still think I had a point or two but I was way to mean in any event).
Avatar m tn I think I have finally had enough. After taking that pill last night and risking danger to my liver along with the alcohol I have decided to try to quit.

1187071 tn?1279369698 Drinking to substitute pain management is not a good idea no matter how you look at it. Someone with Chronic Pain is more likely to make it a habit rather than someone who is not and looking for an occasional drink. When someone has Chronic Pain and finds that alcohol lessens the pain can make this habit forming and Dependant on the alcohol for pain relief. I'm not saying that anyone is an alcoholic here...
Avatar m tn m in a fetal position with pain - simply intolerable). I also have HBP and severe sleep apnea (I use a CPAP mask), and have been drinking WAY too much - between 6 and 12 beers a night lately, because of constant financial worries (I'm on disability). Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn There is a term that is used widely when referencing the effects drinking alcohol when one has hep c. Drinking alcohol is the same as adding gas to a fire.Very compromising! These drugs are highly expensive and toxic, my recommendation is to respect that and give yourself every chance of possible SVR.
Avatar n tn Heart palpatations and irregular heart beats are a serious side effect of the medication. Since your friend has been taking percocet for years, he/she is addicted to the medication. When the medication starts to wear off, he/she is experiencing a withdrawal which can cause heart palpatations and irregular heart beats due to anxiety. Here's a list of side effects and severity: http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-7277-Percocet+Oral.aspx?
Avatar f tn Hi Angie, If you indeed want to free yourself from opiates, you're in a great position to do so. If you're doing that good at 36 hours you should be through any additional uncomfortable withdrawal fairly soon. Alcohol will make withdrawal rougher, at least it did for me the withdrawal before last. This time I stopped everything; Alcohol, an occasional Xanax and Vicodin. Like you, I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. I never want to go through that again.
Avatar f tn I just found out I'm pregnant. I tested positive with a hpt. According to all the apps and my lmp I'm at least six weeks. Up until this point I've stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol. But also up until knowing I have consumed alcohol. My Dr appt is next week...should I be worried at all that I may have hurt my baby??
Avatar f tn So i had one glass of wine and it was like 5% alcohol, how do i habe to wait to breastfeed..
Avatar f tn m 34 yrs old, been diabetic for 12 yrs now... drinking alcohol will help shut down his kidney alot faster. is your friend on oral medications for his diabetes or insulin taking shots. It sound like he's in great denial about the diabetes all together and may want to get a good team of doctors, and nutristionist, and othe people together for support. But you have the need to be scared for your friend, i was in denial for almost 7 yrs.
Avatar m tn There is not likely to be a significant risk from combining a low dose of Wellbutrin with moderate drinking. The risk that does exist would relate to the fact that alcohol withdrawal tends to lower the seizure threshold and Wellbutrin does the same. And believe it or not, you experience mild alcohol withdrawal during the night after you drink more than two drinks of alcohol (hence the disrupted sleep). So, the risk depends on how much more than two drinks you have....
Avatar f tn It sounds like you had a bad reaction to the alcohol, and having drank some more, you started to experience it briefly. Try not drinking for a few days and see if this goes away. Green stool means it passed too quickly thru your system. Also, re-hydrate after vomiting and diarrhea, by drinking water, orange juice, and Gatorade plus you can eat bananas to replenish your electrolytes.
Avatar f tn I dont think anyone should ever drink knowingly pregnant u just cant be sure (im not talking about ppl drinking before they know) ur body is not just urs anymore and drinking while bfing u can do but pumping and dumping does not get rid of the alcohol any faster u have a time frame that u cant feed baby in depending on ur alcohol intake

Avatar f tn At his office they have a supply of alcohol for the partners and if a client wants something. I forgot about that and actually I never thought he would do that. This is sounding less about the Lipitor.
Avatar n tn Yes it does. Drinking is linked with FASD (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) and they have yet to prove how much alcohol causes it. In the first few weeks is most important because all the organs and facial features are being determined. I WOULD NOT DRINK! It's not worth the risk.
1035252 tn?1427227833 thanks...like I said, CNS depression is a concern as well but I'm less afraid of that than I am of liver toxicity. I'm just very paranoid I take as few meds as possible (pain and other types) and because I never drink I just don't know where the safe lines are.
Avatar f tn Either get the testing strip or pump and dump for a day or so. Good for you getting out and being something other than a mom for a night!
Avatar f tn I was in AA for 12 years when I started back drinking and taking percocet. I know the signs of addiction but ignored this and continued my addiction. My question is what is the effect on the body when drinking and takiing pain pills regulary? It can't be good to use both. I trust I will get an answer and will be so apprecative for an answer.
Avatar f tn My midwife told me no alcohol but i was pregnant on my 18th birthday and i had a sip of wine and my baby is perfectly fine and is perfectly healthy. It was only a sip though not a glass. And i was 7 and a half months pregnant. Hope this helps.
1475492 tn?1332884167 Hi There, I have noticed I can not tolerate alcohol like I used to and am lucky to have 1 or 2 if that. Drinking these days puts me out for days..Just can not tolerate it anymore.
Avatar m tn Alcohol can interfere with the anti-virals used in Hep B, also. I tend to agree that if you're not on treatment and not having high viral load or elevated liver enzymes then the occasional drink isn't going to hurt. But everyone's "occasional" is different and one person's glass of wine is another person's tumbler of scotch.
