Are you asking about a caffeine addiction, it's effects after acute withdrawal or what? Are you saying you're taking Excedrin every day for caffeine? If so better to drink coffee or tea. You should only take NSAIDS for 'real' conditions. Wishing all the love, clarity and strength you need to stay clean.
ve been on a percocet prescription for the past 3+ years due to a number of painful injuries and surgeries and my maximum usage was just 1 and 1/2 10-325 per day. I took the medication in the evening to help me sleep but I finally realized I couldn't sleep without it. I decided I needed to end this usage but it's been tougher than I expected. I'm really tired and have a difficult time concentrating even on minor things like reading the newspaper.
WOW! It's so great and encouraging to come home and read these posts! I just got home from picking my girls up from the sitter, and let me tell you, I DIDN'T THINK THIS NIGHT WOULD END! I guess that "great" feeling I was having earlier, was due to it only being the first 4 hours of my shift.

m just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on sugar intake and pain and/or sugar intake and cravings due to medications. I was fairly fit and a regular gym-goer and watched my diet about 90/10. I wasn't overly rigid, but I was careful. I noticed that at some point when my narcotic dosage got on the higher end, I started craving sugar. I never added sugar to coffee or tea and always drank diet soda, if any.
I can relate to all of you on the symptoms your having from not taking percocet I have been taking percocet for about two years now. I work alot and finding time to curb this addiction is becoming very difficult. I have tried many times to kick this thing every time i have failed. The worst part for me is the restless sleep and that sick feeling. I would also prefer to stop cold turkey but I think I might need some help.
I only started taking percocet yesterday, after suffering for 4 days with severe pain. I had tried everything, NSAIDS, hot wet compresses, I went for massages 4 days in a row! I'm going to have to go back and get an MRI, but in the meantime, I need to take the percocets. I just don't know if I should continue taking the subs while I am on the percocet. I want off the subs really bad, but I only got 15 percs and I don't know how long it will take me to get another Dr appt.
m washing down 60mg of Percocet with my morning coffee just to avoid getting sick. Today, being day 1 clean (as my last Percocet was taken around 4:00PM yesterday), I figured I'd post because this now as this is the eye of the storm as I recall. Tomorrow and the following 3 or 4 days, I probably won't even be getting out of bed except to vomit.
Id start my day with my pills and a couple cups of coffee and felt like there was no limit to what I could get done! Thats until I ran out a week or 2 early and would lay in bed miserable, yelling at everyone and crying, not answering my phone etc, then once I got my refill I was supermom again. Ugh! Such an exhausting cycle, and had to be so confusing for my kids!
I am currently recovering from back surgery and am taking 2 Percocet 10mg every 8 hours per the directions. I ran out today and tomorrow is a holiday so I won't be able to get a script until Tuesday. I am not good at keeping track b/c the scripts are only for 15 days while most are for a month, but anyway. I have some 5mg vicodin - can I take those to get me through until I can fill the script for the Percocet? If so, how much should I take?
I am also prescribed percocet and I get 150 pills a month and I take it in addition to extended release morphine for chronic back pain. On average, I take 25 mg of percocet daily and up to 30 mg a day along with 60 mg of morphine per day. I have never had a morning after headache from the percocet.
The maximum dose of acetaminophen that can be taken daily is 4,000 mg. So with 325 mg in each pill, you took well under the maximum dose.
Percocet can depress your respiratory system and Lorazepam is a sedative. They can be dangerous taken together because of the risk of OD. But if he has been taking them together for awhile and is under a doctors care he should be fine. I was hooked on Percocet and would take Lorazepam sometimes for panic attacks, never had a problem. I was also on anti-depressants. There is a risk. How much of each is he taking?
I know I shouldn't have coffee, but sometimes I crave it and my doctor says it's okay. I enjoy creamer in it as well. Is creamer ok to put in my morning coffee? Or should it just drink isn't black when a craving occurs?
