percocet and celexa

Hello I am going to go off a 3 year 4 -6 a day Percocet habit on Friday alone .. I have to do this for myself my children and my new job that I start in two weeks . My dr recently prescribed me Xanax and celexa for anxiety and depression but I was to scared to tell him about the pills I have been taking ... I have not started the celexa because I am scared it will interact with the Percocet and haven't taken Amy Xanax because i haven't needed it ..

my doctor prescribed celexa 10 mg a day started for four weeks felt not so good on that and quit cold turkey now life is very hard. been vomitting hot and cold flashes anxiety like crazy. i only took celexa four weeks this is worse than opiate withdrawel. does anyone ou there think it takes more than three weeks to stop feeling effect of celexa because i really thing the opiates are out of my system?

My doctor prescribed me clonapin and celexa together at night. I take 20 mg celexa and 2mg clonapin and i sleep ok ,but the next day i am S0000 tired that i cannot function. Sleeping 15 hours a day! I've been taking them for a month now and i am worried that something is not right with this combination.The problem is, that if i don't take them i cannot get to sleep.What should i do? By the way, i also take percocet 7.5 mg for pain issue.

I started taking celexa five days ago after going to my doctor for a f/u and completely breaking down bawling like a baby (my mom was just diagnosed with acute leukemia). On day two, I developed a severe headache and very stiff neck. I have had migraines in the past that originate in my neck/shoulder area. So, I thought I was getting a migraine like I've had in the past...I started doing all the things that have worked to relieve the pain before (massage, advil, heat, ice, rest, etc.

Should I go ahead and drop again to 45mg or stick on this a little longer and let the celexa completely leave my system. The reason being is that I have read that coming off of Celexa can take months for it to leave your system, I've been off about 2 weeks, and that it can cause anxiety too. I received some incredible help on here the last time and even though my taper stopped for a while, I think finding this site and getting down from such a high amount may have already saved my life.

Thank you all for your comments I started crying reading them knowing I have people out there to support me! My habit is 3 to 4 tens a day .. I never take more then half at a time but I take them every two hours like clockwork .. I used to justify telling myself I'm not as bad as my sister and aunt because I never take more than half a ten at one time but it's all the same!

celexa is an antidepressant and is used for anxiety too...it is not addictive, but if you decide to get on it, it can take up to a month to get results, and if your taking it for depression or anxiety or both you should see a difference, if not then its not the right one for you, its kind of trial and error at times to find the right one that works, some get lucky and find what works the first time.

HI everyone, well I have been on Celexa for 4 days now and I am so incredibly sick, just like I am in major withdrawal, I can't even explain how awful I feel. I have been told to ride it out and it will get better but I don't think I can hang in there that long. My symptoms are exacerbated 10 times over. It's the worst feeling ever!

CeleXa inhibits reuptake allowing more seratonin to be left in the synaptic gap causing the threshold for the nerves firing to be techniquelly less because less has to be delivered for the spark to occur since more is already there and available. I have smoked M. for 2 years and recently started CeleXa. The only thing ive noticed thus far is that I am less affected by the M. now that I am on CeleXa.

I read a paper that Celexa helps vertigo. anyone experience this? I may have to get back on Celexa and not for Panic or Anxiety but for the vertigo that started 3 days ago.

hello all i have been on 40mg celexa and .05 klonopin for a few months now. I feel that the ssri doesnt relly touch the anxiety ,and without the klonopin i would still be anxious! Does anyone get anxiety relief from there ssri alone? i know many people take 2 or more meds and I just wanted to know if im on the right track. any input would be great!

We constantly had our minds on drugs and getting them and how long they were going to last us and what we were going to do about getting more. Unlike me, she has a prescription, but also bought from the street as we were both eating up the supply WAY before she was due to get a refill. I am convinced that my Celexa is a major culprit in my weight gain. Before Celexa, I was on Zoloft, and the first week on Zoloft I lost weight, but then stabilized and slowly began to gain weight. the weight gain was not a big amount but it did happen. Then a few yrs later, I began having problems on Zoloft so my Doc switched me to Celexa, and "whamo!", BIG WEIGHT GAIN! It was amazing! On top of the weight gain, Celexa has made me lethargic and very tired.

At first, Celexa made me sleepy and relaxed. Believe me, this was a Good Thing! At last, I could sleep well! I cannot say that the drug itself decreased my PVCs--however, it DID decrease my awareness of them. Since their frequency was related to my anxiety and awareness of them (because of the effects of adrenaline), as I became less and less conscious of these sensations, the frequency of PVCs decreased dramatically. Trust your doctor and give this a try.

I just started 20 mg of generic Celexa (3 days ago) and the doc also gave me Ambien and Klonopin (take .25mg) to relieve the anxiety until the Celexa kicks in. I wake up shaky/hot and kind of panicky. Which drug is this from drugs, or is it still the anxiety. I know this takes time, but I don't want to mess with any drugs that might be making the symptoms worse (i.e Klonopin or Ambien). I also don't want to become dependent on the Klonopin and ambien either.

Well... Most of you know me, for those who don't, I'm a Percocet/Roxicet addict. I WAS taking up to 150 mgs a day of oxycodone. I tried to taper to 30 mgs and then quit in December then failed miserably. My new plan is going VERY, VERY WELL! I started 5 mg Celexa 5 days ago and the doctor gave me .5 mg Ativan for just in case. My question is how long until the Celexa starts working? If I use the Ativan too often will it effect how the Celexa works? How hard are these to come off of?

I've been on celexa for about 8 weeks now.... I was having trouble getting to sleep at first and still needed some occasional xanax to help my mind stop racing....i then found myself getting to sleep fine but waking up much earlier than normal...now, I am getting to sleep pretty easily and staying asleep. I think you probably need to give the celexa another couple of weeks and see if you have improvement.

I still ahve anxiety, my doctor gave me Celexa which is okay, my question is, is it okay to take Xanax and Celexa together? I used to take Xanax too for panic attacks, and for now I know it will make me feel better. Does anyone know if they can be taken together? When that did nothing for the insomnia and resulting panic, I went to a regular doctor the next day and he prescribed Celexa and Klonopin. I did sleep last night, thankfully. My question now is, can I take one of these low dose Xanax today? I started the Celexa last night and took 1 mg Klonopin to sleep. I just want to feel normal again.

He has decided to gradually up the Celexa again and ween me off the Ativan. this is 3 days later and i am home from school with dizziness and nausea. From what I read that is normal withdrawal, and i'm certain it will pass. 55am, I forgot I took the celexa and I took Cyclobenzaprine. Do you think is something I should be worry? I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay? How long apart I can take those two medications?

The good news is that I believe the Celexa is helping the anxiety and depression. Been on it about 2 and a half weeks. Started at 5 mg, and worked up to 20 mg about 4 days ago. I notice that i am dizzy and lightheaded most of the day. I get some relief when i inline skate. Is the dizziness a symptom that will go away...also some insomnia. I don't want to stop taking this because I feel ok about the drug and the relief of depression and anxiety.

I've taken three benzos, but not that one. But using benzos for sleep isn't the best idea, as they're so easy to become addicted to if you take them regularly, and insomnia tends to get worse with continued use of medication for sleep. I would especially try to wait it out as you're not anywhere near a therapeutic dose of the Celexa yet, and it might make you sedated when you move up. If the Celexa works you won't need the Ativan much.

So there you have it, I am feeling high on myself for deciding to stop taking Percocet, and had my picnic interrupted by this. Its not a perfect situation, but it is much better than it was. I guess I just wanted to vent, and also see if anyone else had experienced a situation where they were on track and had things somewhat fouled by something like this.
