I started taking celexa five days ago after going to my doctor for a f/u and completely breaking down bawling like a baby (my mom was just diagnosed with acute leukemia). On day two, I developed a severe headache and very stiff neck. I have had migraines in the past that originate in my neck/shoulder area. So, I thought I was getting a migraine like I've had in the past...I started doing all the things that have worked to relieve the pain before (massage, advil, heat, ice, rest, etc.

Hi, i have been without percs for 6 days today. I have been so sick-like a flu and wondering if i should be feeling better soon. My question is also to see if swollen ankles and hands is normal in percocet users, this was happening to me, so that is why i quit, the swelling has gone down but is just in my ankles a tiny bit, what can i do to make the swelling go away quickly? i am really craving each day to just keep on using but also really want to quit.
I have lots of phantom aches and pains that Im thinking are anxiety ...
We constantly had our minds on drugs and getting them and how long they were going to last us and what we were going to do about getting more. Unlike me, she has a prescription, but also bought from the street as we were both eating up the supply WAY before she was due to get a refill. My question is, how can someone without insurance living in the U.S., Michigan specifically, get help for addiction?
It started with lortab 5mg a few times a day... Then after a few surgeries later I was prescribed to lortab 7.5 and percocet 7.5 for the pain. I am about 8 weeks out of surgery, and the dr. Is still prescribing me these meds. Tomorrow will be day 2 without anything. I have asked my boyfriend to hide them from me, because I know that I was getting out of control, and could not believe how many prescriptions these dr. Keep giving me.
I am 37 years old, this is my 4th child and the first time i have had any issues with health concerns, i am 17 weeks pregnant and when i found out i was pregnant i had been taking percocet from a accident i had falling down the stairs, i was also prescribed celexa and Kolonopin. i have completely taken myslelf off of the celexa within the first 6 weeks and reduced my kolonopin to .1mg a day, however i am dependant physically on the percocest.
celexa is an antidepressant and is used for anxiety is not addictive, but if you decide to get on it, it can take up to a month to get results, and if your taking it for depression or anxiety or both you should see a difference, if not then its not the right one for you, its kind of trial and error at times to find the right one that works, some get lucky and find what works the first time.
HI everyone, well I have been on celexa for 4 days now and I am so incredibly sick, just like I am in major withdrawal, I can't even explain how awful I feel. I have been told to ride it out and it will get better but I don't think I can hang in there that long. My symptoms are exacerbated 10 times over. It's the worst feeling ever!
Hi there. I've been on and off this rollercoaster for years. My chronic pain issues started with severe migraines in .mt teens which led to codeine dependence. I then started having grand mal seizures, not from the drugs, but from a previously undiagnoed neurological condition. I was eventually detoxed at migraine clinic and got my meds down to one anticovulsent.
There is worries about me being an addict because of another problem i have been having. I have done X 4 times and coke twice and sleep aid twice and percocet twice. everytime i do coke or X i will do a good amount for a beginner but never once have i felt anything. But that doesnt really matter because this problem i have been having has really turned me off hard drugs, so i think i will just stick with alcohol and weed. Your comments and posts are very helpful and thank you.

Alcohol(every once in a while), marijuana (once a week - every day), ecstasy (5 times, max dosage 3 pills), cocaine (4 times, max dosage 2 lines), NYTOL (250mgs and another 200mgs at another time) percocet (once 40 mgs), adderall(2 times, first time snorted around 65mg's second time less than 2.5 mgs) I was also on celexa and effexor both for about a month a while ago. I just turned 16 recently and started to feel weird (which i think is caused by drugs) like i cant think and i felt stupid.
Look, everyone seems to have valid points. I shot "smack"(heroin) for 10 tired of trying to get the money just to stay "well". Used Methadone for 4 months every other day or every two days to come off the "H" so I wouldn't get strung-out on it(the Methadone). I've always been an anxious person and prone to being on the verge of "panic attacks"...
I have not started the celexa because I am scared it will interact with the percocet and haven't taken Amy Xanax because i haven't needed it .. Is it safe to take the celexa while I am coming off the percocet or should I wait?
that this drug delivers not 1 but 2 highs. You get a fairly pure and strong opiate high but also the synthetic lab produced part of percocet, compared to drugs like morphine, gives you a HIGH rather than a zombified low like morphine. So it's an all-in-one polyaddiction pill. I am suffering from knee pain from broken knee and now Neuralgia, but yes I want to be off Oxycodone (percocet) also. I've seen far too many people die from opiates, and I don't want to go that way.
Opioid-induced hyperalgesia is a condition where the increased use of opiates, like Oxycontin and hydrocodone, heightens one's sensitivity to discomfort and reduces their tolerance for pain. Essentially, people will increase the amount of painkillers they are taking as their discomfort continues to escalate, but the added medication can actually make their pain worse.
I'm also using a steroid nasal spray for inflamation, a nasal spray to keep my nasal membranes moisturized, I take percocet for the pain and use a Neti Pot 2X a day. My nose takes up most of my day!
My doctor prescribed me clonapin and celexa together at night. I take 20 mg celexa and 2mg clonapin and i sleep ok ,but the next day i am S0000 tired that i cannot function. Sleeping 15 hours a day! I've been taking them for a month now and i am worried that something is not right with this combination. The problem is, that if i don't take them i cannot get to sleep. What should i do? By the way, i also take percocet 7.5 mg for pain issue.
The make me completely calm and relaxed, and not wozy and out of it like benzos do. I have never tried to obtain them illegal or without reason, but have come to this conclusion on occassions when I have been given them for legitamate pain. I am curious to know if someone can offer any scientific or medical explaination as to why opiates are so effective. I am also curious whether there are any anxiety medications that incorporate opiate therapy.
I tried to taper my does but started withdrawling anyway so quit cold turkey. I am 19 days off these pills and have had a terrible time with anxiety and depression. I can't stand it. My mind races with stupid scary uncontrollable thoughts. I have awful anxiety along with the jitters. I won't even stay by myself because I feel like a nutcase. I love my children very much and just want to be a functioning mother again.
Then the friday that just passed i popped a quarter of an 80mg percocet pill (20mg) and it didnt do anything to me except make me feel stupid, and then the next day i feel like the feeling that i describe before has gotten worse. The feeling is subtle so i cant exactly put my finger on it. I would also like to mention that i was on celexa and effexor for a period of time. I have trouble with depression and anxiety.
My doc has been prescribing me different types of anti-depressants...i have taken buspar, lexapro, zoloft, cymbalta, celexa, luvox, and a few others,,,,and im allergic to all of the ones ive taken. thats why im trying to get xanax. its bad enough having anxiety EVERYDAY ALL DAY LONG! then to add that with allergic reactions...not a good mix. i know you just asked a simple question and didnt ask for me to tell you my life story lol but i enjoy talking...a little too much at times.
I was told cipralex (lexapro) was good and celexa as well as having the least side effects. I took lexpro (cipralex) for a while and made my pauses seem longer so got scared and got off it. Can anyone share their experiences and what worked best for controlling anxiety and thus limiting pvcs but also limiting weight gain?
i got her to the hospital just in time. she had ingested 37 percocet 10 mg pills that i guess she had gone out and picked up from an old dealer because we are both coming up on 2 years clean may 6th. which is also our wedding anniversary. she suffers from agorephobia/ panic attacks and deep deep depression... no anti depressant has ever worked for her. these past few months have been hard for her.
Also I forgot to mention that I has surgery on my wrist last week and am still on pain meds (percocet) I did not take them today and my hand is really hurting but I am afraid to mix the xanax and the percocet.
I eat a bananas every day and drink 2 glass of milk per day to try to keep my calcium and potassium up. I have noticed if I sleep with my legs spread apart as far apart as I can get them it keeps my legs from hurting when I sleep. I recently had a physical exam my cholesterol is 131, HDL 47, LDL 73, Triglycerides 94, VLDL 19, blood pressure 69 over 120. When I was young I road my bicycle 30+ mile every day.
Should I go ahead and drop again to 45mg or stick on this a little longer and let the celexa completely leave my system. The reason being is that I have read that coming off of celexa can take months for it to leave your system, I've been off about 2 weeks, and that it can cause anxiety too. I received some incredible help on here the last time and even though my taper stopped for a while, I think finding this site and getting down from such a high amount may have already saved my life.
They have me on propranolol 20 mg bid and I was just recently prescribed celexa 20 mg 1 a day and .5 Ativan PRN. I don't want to start taking the anti-anxiety meds again, I took them for 2 years and was able to get off of them 4 years ago :-). Oh, and I'm only 30 years old, most of this started 6 years ago but it got really bad in 2006 when I was pregnant with my son. I've tried physical therapy, on my second round.
