Percocet and ativan

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet and ativan

percocet

Avatar f tn As far as withdrawals go it depends on how long you have been abusing and how much so if you can provide that information we will have more to work with .. Good luck ..
Avatar n tn cut down by quarters at the last mg of ativan and within a month or two at most you will have successfully tapered off of both percocet and ativan and you can start healing your brain and body from the damaging addiction.
Avatar m tn Also, I was on the fentalyn patchs, oxycontin and percocet and it was a piece of cake to get off of them compared to getting off the benzo. I'm on xanex and don't think I will ever be able to get off of this drug. Good luck getting off the ativan. Perhaps if you don't have panic disorder with agoraphobia you will be able to get off of it just fine by tapering down slow and steady. Good luck.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was going to run out of my 5/325 percocets, so I tapered off over the last few days instead of taking as many as I normally would. I get 100 and their supposed to last a month. Well I had months after my husband left and a back injury to where I just used them for a lift, so I could function!!! Well today since I'm out and I know my doc will freak If I tell him I'm out I feel kind of chilled, my face is hot and I'm a little depressed and slightly anxious at the same time.
Avatar m tn i am starting off taking lithium and percocet and ativan,,,what kind of side effects can i expect...depakote caused me to gain 30 lbs over the last 6 months!! nd it caused hair thinning and loss!
Avatar f tn I don't know but I am interested in this. I've taken Ativan but not Xanax and did not get any benefit from it (for the anxiety really either.) I have the burning nerve pain in my hand, wrist and arm. I take Neurontin but I don't know that it does much. The narcotics don't work all that great for me either (though I am getting a little relief this past week.
Avatar f tn i am going thru the worst withdrawals cold turkey after taking percocet, vicodin, ultram and ativan for over two years. No one will help me thru this and I am all alone. I have not slept, or eaten in three days. I am about to give up. I am looking at a full bottle of muscle relaxers and they are looking pretty good right now. I I just cannot do this. Help???
Avatar n tn Well, dear, I'm, assuming you are due to have some kind of drug test, and are concern about passing it? Why not instead, share what you have taken that you are fearful of showing up? A drug test looks for more than narcotics, too. They tyopically look for benzos (Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Valium), cocaine, opiates (Vicodin, Percocet), and others. There are different kinds of drug tests. There's really no way to know until you take it.
Avatar f tn i have many health conditions and chronic pain. i was taking ultram, percocet, ativan and sometimes vicodin when i could get it to help with some of the w/d's sometimes, i always had a back up of ultram but they are gone as well. i am shaking so bad i could not even drive, and i don't have any money for the thomas recipe.
689267 tn?1235241749 I was diagnosed 17 years ago with generalized panic and anxiety disorder, and have tried lots of meds to control it. Ativan seems to be the one that works for me. My question is- I know the harsh reality of xanax (horrible w/d, etc.), but is it the same for ativan? I never hear anyone talk about it on here, so I have no idea what I am up against. I take 3-4 mgs. a day. Mainly early evening and then to help with sleep. Or, should I stay on it since it is working? Thanks for any advice!
Avatar f tn Hi... I have a friend that is in her late 60's and she had been on Ativan for about 10 years and was addicted to them. But anyways .... her doctor called her in one day and she had no idea why but when she got there he had her do a urine drug test. Well a few days later he called her in or she had a appt. (cant remember) but he told her that the test came back showing that the ativan wasnt in her system... she was shocked and told him that she has been taking 3 a day for 10 years.
Avatar f tn Do you think that from just after 2 weeks off and on xanax and Ativan (never more than .5 xanax or 1.5mg ativan a night) I could be having rebound anxiety? I talked to my doc today about the topamax and she said that if it was going to cause problems with my mood it would have months ago and says that most likely it is due to anxiety. I have panic disorder also :( she suggested 20 mg paxil. I have NOT told her about my drug abuse. I'm so ashamed. That is why I have posted on here.

1198664 tn?1368647812 Clonadine like Ativan? I just took .75mg of Ativan. I was being mind ( and body) ****** too hard by these wd,s this time. Almost to the point of taking a half perc just to try to wean or somethig. Man it's bad this time around.
Avatar f tn First and foemost, you must discuss any change in meds with your doctor. Keeping that in mind, here's what I think. The ativan is giving you headaches because it is fast acting and short lived in the system, so tends to create a sort of 'roller coaster' effect if not taken often enough. Your body is different now that you are a mother. That changes your brain chemistry in ways that are naturally geared to 'mother' your baby. I think all of this is causing your headaches.
Avatar f tn I am in terrible, constant, all over body pain and also have an all over burning sensation since an MVA over one year ago. I've tried Cymbalta, Sevella, Neurontin, Vicodin, Tramadol, Darvocet N 100, Nucynta, and Percocet. I've also tried anti depressants, Ativan, and Valium in conjunction with the pain meds. I've had steroid injections in my spine and also tried Lidocaine patches. Does anyone have experience with a pain med that works for this type of chronic pain?
Avatar f tn It started a little more than a year ago when I first started experiencing acute irritable bowel like symptoms and being in college I did not agree with the symptoms at all and after struggling with my anxiety medication, I turned to percocet. I could do a bump of a 30 mg pill and feel good for 5 hours and now it takes a half. Its kind of scary when I look at the correlations.
8265858 tn?1403378544 He had surgery on 3/25/14 and was discharged from the hospital on 4/8/14 with Percocet and Oxycotin for pain. He took himself off of Percocet on Sunday the 13th of April and the Oxy on Monday the 14th, taking just 800mgs of Motrin for pain. Was he on the Narcs long enough to be addicted? He is feeling sick daily and has vomit 1-2 times a day, especially once at bed time. What can we do to make it smoother on his detox at home? Thank you!
Avatar m tn I have reserved myself some Vicos(2 per day for today and tomorrow) and I had cut down to 2 norcos and 3 percs per day for 3 days prior to that. I have some Ativans the doc prescribed for a parinoia and panic spat I was going through about 6 months into taking my prescription when I tried to kick without cutting down on the dose. Maybe those will help me sleep in the first few days of the process. Maybe you guys can help on what to expect here.
Avatar f tn He also took her off her lortab that she has taken for years due to back surgery which they had to put cement in her back. He put her on ativan and now she is in the hospital in rela bad shape and having hallucinations.
19414074 tn?1477273491 I take Morphine 30mg-2 x day and Percocet 10/325mg-4 x day. My pain clinic does a urine drug screen monthly and mails it off. For the last 2 months my Morphine has not showed up at all. Why would this be happening? I have to find out something before my next visit in 3 weeks or my doctor is going to drop me!
538894 tn?1630257531 30AM which seems like a decent night sleep almost 8 hours! Still using the Ativan since it does curb the emotions and helps me to rest easy, probably going to try today without but we shall see. Outpatient Rehab at 10AM EST so I will report back after that to let you all know how it went. I am not experiencing so much of the emotional rollercoasters that I had been, they are less frequent and I seem to be functioning more around the house.
Avatar f tn I took my .5 mg ativan and one benadryl for stuffy nose. Now wide awake and have to be up to work in 2 hours. Has this ever happened to anyone?? I also take my 12.5 zoloft in morning will this make me more jittery??
Avatar m tn As weird as it sounds, the hydro actually helps my kids step-mother more and better than pills like Ativan and Xanax for anxiety and in combination with her anti-depressant, her depression is less. Not that all doctors or psychiatrists know what they are doing, but if it didn't help her depressive state, then I know for sure her psychiatrist wouldn't prescribe it to her, she would have to see a MD for a script.
Avatar f tn I started 5 mg Celexa 5 days ago and the doctor gave me .5 mg Ativan for just in case. My question is how long until the Celexa starts working? If I use the Ativan too often will it effect how the Celexa works? How hard are these to come off of?
Avatar m tn In order to help the WD effects, I took whatever I had in the med cabinet... Imodium, Ativan, Gabapentin (sp?), lots and lots of Smart Water, and prayer. Anyhow, I feel great now and honestly, it wasn't that big of a deal, but here's the PROBLEM: Tomorrow, my prescription will be available. Should I fill it? I don't think I should but then my mind tells me that I may need one for my knee or fibromyalgia. I am in much pain now, with a fibro flare up. ugh.
Avatar f tn because I had to use my Percocet to get rid of the creeps. That lasted about 2 weeks. I took Clonodine and Ativan to help. Also Neurontin, which I take anyway for the nerve pain. Now I have to wean off the Percocet. I'm doing it the same way, but I have to do it a lot faster because (since I took the Percocet to help) I'm running out of pills. Again, I'm spreading out the doses each day.
