Percocet 10 mg

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet 10 mg

i have been taking percocet 15mg for about 3 years and there are many times when i wished i didnt have to take this. Its not neccesarily effecting my way of living but im worried about how long i need to be on this. I have terrible back issues and these are the only meds that allow me to go about my day. when someone is on pain meds for that long is it possible to just detox or am i possibly looking at suboxin because i do look forward to the day that im 100% clean free and clear all the way.
That way on one of your dosing hours you will take 5 mg. No need for 10 mg each dose. Remember to write the time of each dose too ok? Get the other stuff like magnesium & Imodium We are here for you.
percocet also causes tolerance meaning that over time the same dose may not work as well for your pain and you may need to ask your doctor for new prescribing instructions to take a slightly larger amount to yield the same amount of pain relief you experienced in the beginning.
I'm hoping these morphine ER tabs don't make me too drowsey, if so I will need to go back to the Vicodin or percocet. One more quick question, my Dr. says a 10 mg perc is the same as a 10 mg vicodin but the percs seem stronger to me. What's your opinion on that? Thanks again for the help.
Smoking Perks sounds a bit odd, they are mostly acetaminophen (Tylenol), so likely 500 or 750 mg of that for every 30 mg of oxy. I strongly recommend against smoking these! You're asking some great questions, so I wanted to bump your post back to the top as I don't have time to answer right now! I'm certain others will, and I'll try to check back when I have more time...
They have me on 30 mg oxycontin, twice daily, 10/325 percocet 6 a day, soma 4 times daily and xanax 2 mg for anxiety. What are my options for the breakthrough pain, that is what I am taking the percocet for and I need to stop with the Tylenol already enough is enough. I talked with my doc last time I was there to see her, and this is when she switched me to the percocet from Vicoprofen, due to the fact that it was doing nothing for the pain.
I was thinking of dropping down to 10 mg for 1 week, then 5 mg for 1 week and then 2.5 for one week and then off. Does this sound reasonable to you to avoid withdrawals? Right now I can't sleep more than 1 hour a night. Started out at up to 70 mg/day. Good luck with your plan of ending your taper today. I was also using my meds for pain (never exceeded dr. recommended dose), but have been on them 12 years. Now I don't know whether the pain is from withdrawing or actual pain.
I am on 1.5 pills now so thats 7.5 mg.'s a day. I started at 10 pills 50 mg.'s a day, and its been hard mostly mental and a littel anxiety, I had a acouple of days were I cheated but then I got right back on the wagon. Without finding this forum I probably would of been taking more than 10 pills a day by now. It was a slow taper and then I kinda speeded it up and it worked better every 3-4 days I dropped a pill. =) My Life is going good and I am excersing and that helps so muich.
I too end of may first week of june of 2010 went cold turkey after almost 16 months of everyday use and almost died and I too after 21 days felt like crap, depressed, felt like my nerves were shot to H3LL ...I take 1 mg xanax for anxiety and have been for 10 years take 2 maybe 3 a day never once have I abused them??
Hello. I have been taking about 30 mg of percocet a night for about 2 and a half months. Every now and then I would skip a night. Basically I take 4 7.5 pills between 4-10 pm. If I stop now, would it affect me? Should I taper off or just stop? Is 30 mg a lot or a little of it?
Has anyone had a similar experience. I also take a 10 mg. valium a day. I did try suboxone for 3 years and it worked great but back in October I had a serious injury to my right leg and was in the hospital for 7 days and they said they were going to override the suboxone with massive amounts of pain meds-and they did. Then they sent me home with a script for percocet-so you see I have been off the drugs and I know how great that was. Suboxone works great but it is hard to come off of.
From my experience getting away from my oxycontin use which was reaching the 300 and 400mg daily level last Fall, a week and a half taper getting down into the 10 to 20 mg daily dose in the preceding 2 days before quiting is the minimum amount of time to make a difference in the physical withdrawals once you quit. I did a fast track taper of 4 or 5 days last August using 10 mg percocets but it wasn't quite enough time to make any substantial difference..

I was takeing 10-12 percocet 10/325 daily. My surgeon said he would not operate on me (back surgery) unless I get weaned off the percocet down too vicodin ES. He said if I had surgery allready tollerent of that high dose, the pain would not be bearable even if they pumped me full of morphine. So my personal doctor had me taper. He cut me down to 10 5/325 daily for 5 days. That was rough being cut in half...but I kept in mind it could have been worse with none at all.
i have been takeing percocet for 2 years for back pain when it started it was 1 10 mg pill every 6 hrs. i now take 360 or more per doctor gives me 160 per mo.
16. No sleep at all in the last 2 days. Been up since 330 AM and currently working. Dealing with restless legs, hot/cold flashes, sweats, no appetite, all flu symptoms. So very tired... I am a Professional who had a medical injury that started all of this. Always worked hard never missing time while moving up the career ladder. So considering my situation how long until the symptoms start to ease up? Any helpful suggestions well appreciated. The very worst is being unable to sleep.
Iv been on percocets for over a year and i take 11 10 mg per day for back problems! I am on day 1 of going cold turkey and feel like crap! What will my body go though during this and can i die and will anything help while i go though this? I am tired of being addicted and this needs to stop! Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
i am a recovering opiate abuser and i was exactly on the same mg as you...taking 10 to 12 pills a day...i tried the taper....just prolonged the misery for me and i started back up again....finally tried the ct and had great success...i was real scared to wd from them but it wasn t as bad as i thought...not the most pleasant time but somehow we all get through it...can you take some time for yourself to detox...maybe on a long weekend....
First of all im a pretty big guy, like 6'1 220. Anyway, i started with 70 percocet 10s. I have been taking them for 10 days. Is this long enough to become addicted? I have taken between 4 and 6 per day. I have 20 left. I dont want to go through withdrawals. Will i? should i "wean" the last 20? LIke 4 today, 3 the next three days, 2 for 3 days, etc? Will this help? Or have i not been taking them long enough addiction.
I have been on percocet 10/325 for 5 years now. It has gotten out of hand the past 6 months, to where I'm taking 14-20 pills/day. I've tried self-detox, but can't get past first 24 hours. I called D&A in my county, and they said I can come in in 10 days for eval, and see doc as early as 3 weeks to possibly start suboxone, but must still be taking the percs. I ran out about 1 hour ago, and am so afraid I can't do it.
ive been on percocet since march, off and on, i am having a hard time getting off them and staying off them, right now i am having some weird side effects that are not listed like waking up stiff and swollen and really sore hot achy, then i take 2 i feel a little better then 4 hours later i take 2 again then i feel better, im up to taking 8 a day. i need help and advice, can i die? how can i get through the withdrawls without problems? I have tramadol and flexeril to help is that good?
I have been taking percocet 5 mg for the past 6 mos., max 3 per day (disc. issue that has improved recently) , decided to quit and took my last pill on Sunday night...its been pretty rough yesterday and today. I never thought that I would be physically addicted with what I thought was low dosage. My question is do you think I should taper (down to 1 per day for a week, then down to 1/2 per day for a week) or should I ride it out.
Hey my friend, I am in the same boat as you as well, I currently went 4 days of no opiates and slipped and took and 80 mg oxycontin, just a 5 days ago I was either blowing 20 30 mg oxycodone(600mg) or 10 at once and another 10 later on. Or eatting 10 80 mg oxycontin.
I tried to tapper off of percocet that I have been using daily for about 8 months now, the dosage kept going up and got to about 6 - 10 mg pills a day and thats when I new I needed to do something.
Ive been taking percocet on n off for 5 years. More on than off. I use to subsitite with norco, 10mg when id run put pf my 30 month supply of 120 after 2 weeks. I try to taper, and it helps. I recently went up to 6 a day of 10/325. O have 3 left with one ready to inhale for the am. I am coming out of a drug imduced psychosis episode. I've gotten them before, but this was the worst. Im taking 2 mg xanax which has brought me back almost 99%.
