Common Questions and Answers about People fainting in public

fainting

Avatar n tn I don't know if I am in the right place for this or not, but I have been fainting since I was 13 (now 30). It used to happen for no apparent reason (not from stress) & I went through many tests (EEG, EKG, etc) before they did the tilt-table test & figured out it was when adreneline was released into my system that heart rate went up/blood pressure down. I was on nadalol (sp)?

Avatar f tn ve had a couple of concussions resulting from my frequent fainting episodes. One concussion in particular resulted in frequent partial seizures. Luckily the seizures subsided on their own within a year. I do occasionally have partial seizures after fainting episodes though, but I don't have epilepsy. I've never broken any bones, which I am quite happy about. I've gotten many cuts, scars, and bruises though.

492869 tn?1285018933 I use it around the house mainly when transitioning to and from the bathroom (for various reasons a high-risk time for syncope for me), when washing up at the sink to sit instead of standing still for that extended period of time, in public anywhere where there may be situations where I will need to stand in line or be on my feet for prolonged periods of time, etc.
Avatar f tn ve been made to feel uncomfortable breastfeeding in front of my in laws believe it or not (with a cover aswel) so I feel conscious of other people now. I think it's horrible mum's are made to feel that they have to justify feeding in public.

Avatar n tn Ok so im a ftm 28w and want to breastfeed. My so thinks its a good idea but our views on doing in in public are completely different. I don't see an issue with it as long as i Toss a blanket or something over my baby. He wants me to bring bottles and doesn't think i should do it public at all. I mean i sorta understand if im eating our or something but even then i still don't think it should be an issue. So my question is what is everyone's views on breastfeeding in public.

Avatar m tn If a person feels funny or like they may faint, the person needs to get their head down between their legs quickly to avoid fainting. People can faint from sudden drop in blood pressure. If the shower she was taking was hot, it could cause her to faint. This happened to my cousin and 911 was called. The shower was too hot for her. If she does not eat something every two hours (something small quanity) blood sugar can drop and a person can faint.

Avatar n tn Hi, Our 2 year old was just diagnosed with PDD-NOS. We're working with her to increase her words at home (while waiting to hear about our acceptance to an ABA program), but nothing translates to when we go out in public. She just won't speak even if she's comfortable around my husband or me. Why does this happen with kids on the ASD and what can we do to work on it while waiting for therapy? Thanks!
