How long is this medication safe under NO refrigeration. We went through "Ike" down here and really getting conflicting stories as to how long it is good, as it was in and out of coolers and the Fema never brought any ice so it was NOT REFRIGERATED.

I have been on pegasys for eight weeks now. I got a test done the viral load went down by 51% (from 5000+ to 2500). I have maintained a strict diet of only boiled veggies and fish along with a small helping of roasted chicken. Also no smoking and drinking. But I have very low energy level. I also had a fluctuation in the platelets count and WBC (the absolute neutrophil count went down to 880).
I am happy but am at the same time worried cos I have been told that the viral load might increase.
The focus of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of sequential peginterferon α-2a (Pegasys) therapy for chronic hepatitis B with acute exacerbation [ALT > 10 × upper limit of normal (ULN), bilirubin 10 × ULN) plus Pegasys (180 μg/kg/week, when ALT was 5–10 × ULN) for 24 weeks. Thirteen HBeAg-negative patients (Group 2) had the same protocol for 48 weeks. In both groups, entecavir was then discontinued 14 days after the initiation of Pegasys.
The way I understood I FoieGras' explanation, is that the actual strength of the medication is the same in Pegintron and Pegasys. They just don't have the same volume.
I have been on Pegasys for 13 weeks. Took my quantification but did not see much difference. There has been only 4.8% reduction but my viral load shows improvement.

So my doc suggested to put me on combo therapy. He suggested that I take tenofovir along with pegasys for another 12 weeks.
I am not sure if this is going to be of any help.
Patients with these conditions at baseline who cannot be effectively treated by medication should not begin Pegasys therapy. Patients who develop these conditions during treatment and cannot be controlled with medication may require discontinuation of Pegasys therapy.

has anyone treated with Pegasys and Copegus instead of Sovaldi and Ribavarin, and if so are the results the same?

C and am going to start a research study for tretment with the PEGASYS and ribavivrin drugs. I have Blue Cross/ Anthem insurance but have a 30% copay for the injections and 40% copay for the pills, which will be about $900 a month out of pocket expence. since this is a non elective tretment i dont have a choice but to get the treatment, but i do need help paying for it. Is there any kind of program that will help me offset the copay cost for this program?
i want to ask, what is in your opinion? is it better to hold on the medication for now on, or take medication as son as possible allthough my sgot sgpt level is still normal?
i know there is only small chance for me to get hbsag loss after treatment, however, i do still still hope for it.
is there any chance that my chance to loss my hepatitis b virus at all (hbsag - ) is getting higher if i start my medication now, compared with if i start my medication after my sgot and sgpt raised?
The nurse gave me the Pegasys injection intramuscular in my arm instead of subcutaneous? Will that have any effect on the course of treatment? Does it have the same efficacy?will I still benefit from the injection in the same intended way?

I will update you guys on the result.
