764075 tn?1234495599 Yes, I agree with you on Roche. After begging/borrowing $$$ from family for the first 2 shipments of Pegasys from private pharm & insurance. I applied to Roche assistance program and in 2 weeks my first no cost shipment was on it's way. The only complaint that I have is I have to be home to sign for it.

2059648 tn?1439766665 Pegasys had a program that will supply you with free inteferon and ribavirin if you qualify. I also know of one for neupogen. Since I didn't do the triple tx, I'm not sure about them, but I believe the manufacturers are required to have a program in place to help those of low income to get the needed medications. If you can't find their toll free numbers, give me a pm, and I'll look them up for you.
Avatar m tn Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 The assistance is income rather than asset based; give them a call and see if they can provide help. They will probably want copies of last year’s IRS 1040 forms, along with verification of copay.
Avatar m tn My monthly co-pay was $45 for Incivek, $5 for Ribavirin, and $20 for Pegasys. I could probably have asked the drug companies for assistance and I probably would have received it, but I did not know much at that time and my treating team was no help. When I was first calling my ins. co. about coverage, I got about 10 different answers and none of them were the same, LOL.
1628149 tn?1299785675 You might try a teaching hospital, like University Of .... I'm in the same boat, no job or other income, no insurance, etc., and they've taken care of me. Tests, etc., are free and they applied to Genentech, and Amgen's Patient Assistance Program who supply the med's free. Hopefully this can work for you.
961776 tn?1248714887 I called the drug company drug assistance program and they asked me for the insurance letter denying coverage and then paid for every single bit of it for me - even mailed it to my house for free. If you are on PegIntron it is called Commitment to Care If you are on Pegasys it is called Pegassist Google them and they should come right up. I don't have the numbers any longer cause I've been done for a long time but if you contact them more than likely they should be able to help you.

Avatar m tn Does anyone know of any programs that offer assistance with the coverage gap (donut hole) for people on Medicare? I have been preapproved for Pegasys and Ribavirin but my Medicare Prescription Drug Plan through United Health Care has a $4,550.00 coverage gap and then 5% of the total drug cost approx $9200.00 a year. The plan starts anew Jan 1st of each year so I’m looking at a copayment in the excess of $18,400.00.
Avatar f tn I am going through a county program for the health care part and then I went through Pegassist for the injections and meds. The health care program I am in is a 2 year program and it is for the county I live in in CO.

1609054 tn?1298089928 t had a biopsy yet go to your local hospital and apply for assistance there before you go in. Avatar f tn Sounds like the way my treatment started. Five months of arguments, anxiety, and a bunch of unnecessary stress. The antibiotics can't be tx for the HepC. Do you have something else going on? For instance, I had swelling and fever in my leg, for which they gave me antibiotics, but also at that time the HepC was found. Roche was bought by Genentech. This number is still valid. 1-866-247-5084. Call during reg. business hours. There is a menu system.
