my dad has been having trouble with his chest since he was bit on the head last year by a black widow in sierra leone,i'v just been on the phone with him for him to tell me he's been gettin chest pains throughout the day and this afternoon it looked like something inside was sucking in his chest and like something was wriggling/crawling around in there,he said that lasted over an hour,him and my mum could both see this happening,what do you think it could be?

Just a simple question....i know if one decides to go another round of tx if one relapses, one should switch to the "other" interferon,which for me would be the pegasus...is there a static out there statingthe difference in SVR outcomes between the two in relapsers?...
I am 22 yr old and i have hepatitis c genome 3 and i am taking pegasus\once weekly and ribavirin since 19-6-08 my question is have i to do weekly CBC or I can do every 2weeks before the injection ?
Dear Doctors, I am very curious and very nervous about my HIV status, I had received several unprotected oral sex from a Sex working in Sierra Leone in the during the month of Jan and Feb this year, I had many HIV like symptoms and my doctor asked me to take HIV test, and in June I had unprotected intercourse with CW and in the same month I was told to do the HIV test (Westren Bolt) which was negative, and later I had once again did the test in August.

I have almost the exact same thing. I have a multicystic nodule on my left thyroid and every now and then i get a pain in my neck followed by a minor sore throat and some hoarseness due to a cough i usually only get when it flares up. I recently have been getting an upset stomach almost everytime i eat and i thought it was due to my acidic levels.
Hi, I'm new here, and my husband is in his 10th month of treatment. Just had his second transfusion, and he isn't bouncing back. They upped his procrit, and he has had to stop taking ribavirin again. He's still on a half dose of pegasus and his viral count is undetectable. His doctor said he hated to pull the rug out from under him last visit, and it looks like I"m going to have to take him before his next visit. I think he may need another transfusion soon.
Will the Pegasus work without CoPegasus, I'm getting alot of side effects, I cant sleep and itchy rash's, I can handle the Pegasus alone but the Copegasus makes me feel bad. My liver function test are normal. Has anybody gotten rid of the hep without it?
I have had ascites but it is now under control. My hepatologist has ordered Pegasus and Ribo for me. He says that I only have a small window for treatment success (which he says is probably very low 20-40% if that) and I am wondering whether it worth going through the side effect and complications. I also have a long standing history of dysthymic disorder/personality disorder.
My Rx is ready for me to pick but I am reluctant.

Just got my Pegasus and co Pegasus.Was hoping just for just the Pegasus, But there was a study that said non responders faired no better than responders on there study. Why this applies to me I do not know. I am a relapser. This cost the insurance company big money. Any Ideas? At stage 4 i have no time to wait. Have had the same issues getting into the studies. Relapser. Life can be hard at times.
I I will be taking pegasus soon.can my wife be subjected to any of the drug through oral sex with me ?not a joke question.
After 3 weeks post pegasus/ribivarin (48 weeks responder so far) still suffering with rash, body aches, migraines, insomnia. My energy level is improving but is not great.
