pegasus medication

How is Pegasus packaged,this is what i will be using if i decide to go ahead an TX on the 25th of this month.I was told its pre mixed in the syringe...if its premixed....doe that mean it can spoil faster ...how long will it last in the fridge ...i liked the pegitron fat syringe...just dial and shoot.

I am 22 yr old and i have hepatitis c genome 3 and i am taking pegasus\once weekly and ribavirin since 19-6-08 my question is have i to do weekly CBC or I can do every 2weeks before the injection ?

My husband just got lab results taken his 4th week (of 48) on Pegasus & Ribavirin. They have been following him weekly as his wbc dropped to 3.0 (reference range 4.0 - 10.5). His pre-tx HCV RT-PCR, Quant read HCV RNA 24,176,000 IU/mL HCV log 10 7.383 log10 IU/mL. His week 4 results said, HCV RNA 8,710 IU/mL and log 10 3.940 log10 IU/mL. To me it looks like his numbers started so high, but that he's responding well so far.

well its like this: i went to uams in little rock arkansas for help with the type 1 stage 4 hep c for a year and a half. after that time i asked the dr. why i haven't been put on pegasus and he said he was afraid it might kill me due to having an ammonia attack 8 months pryor. i stated the fact to him that i had been given 3 to 4 years to live and i would rather die from trying to put this disease "under arrest" than to die from.

I finally got my pegasus and ribavarin pre-authorized and my insurance will not pay until i have paid 4,500. out of pocket. any suggestions on how i can get some help to pay for this medication? Thanks in advance for your help.

I feel like I have been hit by a truck migraines hot cold just a daily hangover on steroids. I am a non responder to Pegasus and switched after 4 months and have been on infergen for almost 2 months. It is working and I feel blessed just wondering how other people get by when it feels like you just can't get a moment of relief getting up to grab my son from getting into things is a challenge. I'm ready to give up please help on how you made it through....

I am about to start Pegasus and Ribovarin Therapy for the second time. My doctor said that I may not have been on this Pegasus and Ribovarin Therapy long enough the first time. I did it for 11 months. would be interested to here opinions of what myi chances are of the treatment being sucessful this time around. I was really suprised that it come back. The first time I did the treatment I became anemic and looked like a ghoast until I was able to start procrit.

Pegasus and Dr. Lupo, I have almost the exact same thing. I have a multicystic nodule on my left thyroid and every now and then i get a pain in my neck followed by a minor sore throat and some hoarseness due to a cough i usually only get when it flares up. Hi, I'm new here, and my husband is in his 10th month of treatment. Just had his second transfusion, and he isn't bouncing back. They upped his procrit, and he has had to stop taking ribavirin again. He's still on a half dose of pegasus and his viral count is undetectable. His doctor said he hated to pull the rug out from under him last visit, and it looks like I"m going to have to take him before his next visit. I think he may need another transfusion soon.

Will the Pegasus work without CoPegasus, I'm getting alot of side effects, I cant sleep and itchy rash's, I can handle the Pegasus alone but the Copegasus makes me feel bad. My liver function test are normal. Has anybody gotten rid of the hep without it?

Just got my Pegasus and co Pegasus.Was hoping just for just the Pegasus, But there was a study that said non responders faired no better than responders on there study. Why this applies to me I do not know. I am a relapser. This cost the insurance company big money. Any Ideas? At stage 4 i have no time to wait. Have had the same issues getting into the studies. Relapser. Life can be hard at times.

Unlike a migraine it is something that is present all day, although it varies in severity, it sometimes is mild uncomfort, and sometimes it aggravates to either a dull pressure at night or a hard pressure similar to a painful headache. This has persisted for several months, the only medication that somewhat works on the pressure is ibuprofen gel when administered to my facial area. The other accompanied symptom i have is constant eye spasms.

After 3 weeks post pegasus/ribivarin (48 weeks responder so far) still suffering with rash, body aches, migraines, insomnia. My energy level is improving but is not great.

Which one would you all recommend she go on, the Incivek 12 weeks plus Pegasus 48 or the 44 weeks Victrelis plus Pegasus 48? I think the Incivek has a few more sides but a better success rate. Is that true. Do patients with a lot of Incivek sides normally improve after the 12 weeks? Any info to help in the choice would be great.

I was taking Pegasus and rebrivern for 24 weeks and it was very difficult for me.. I responded very early in my treatment and my liver and blood test come back normal!!!! After a 1 1/2yr. of finishing treatment the virus is still undetectable.My problem is the meds. are still in my system after a year and a half. my symptoms are fluid and popping in my ears, my hair is still thinning .
