i live in a very small and poor country called guyana . I have been to a doctor before an they recommend me to do surgery but there is no where in guyana that do those type of surgery so i have to travel abroad . I am 22 yr old and i have hepatitis c genome 3 and i am taking pegasus\once weekly and ribavirin since 19-6-08 my question is have i to do weekly CBC or I can do every 2weeks before the injection ?

A total cholesterol reading over 300 is very troublesome, didn't your doctor prescribe a statin drug?

Hi, I'm new here, and my husband is in his 10th month of treatment. Just had his second transfusion, and he isn't bouncing back. They upped his procrit, and he has had to stop taking ribavirin again. He's still on a half dose of pegasus and his viral count is undetectable. His doctor said he hated to pull the rug out from under him last visit, and it looks like I"m going to have to take him before his next visit. I think he may need another transfusion soon.

I was recently diagnosed with a large cyst (5cm) on my left lobe and 2 small cyst on right. Both benign. My questions is I have a constant sore throat and pain in neck and also indigestion/ in stomach every time I eat. I am convinced its my thyroid issues. The endo doc decreased my Liothronine from 37.5mgcg to 20mcg because of side effects. The last thing I want is surgery. Do others her experience these stomach pains/nasusea/sore throats.

Just got my Pegasus and co Pegasus.Was hoping just for just the Pegasus, But there was a study that said non responders faired no better than responders on there study. Why this applies to me I do not know. I am a relapser. This cost the insurance company big money. Any Ideas? At stage 4 i have no time to wait. Have had the same issues getting into the studies. Relapser. Life can be hard at times.

Will the Pegasus work without CoPegasus, I'm getting alot of side effects, I cant sleep and itchy rash's, I can handle the Pegasus alone but the Copegasus makes me feel bad. My liver function test are normal. Has anybody gotten rid of the hep without it?

I took primrose oil pills. They are like gel capsules. I took 3 a day. One about every 6 hours and then I inserted 2 down there. The gel helps your cervix soft. And for me I dilated sure fast !!! Labor was only 5 hours long. But if you decide to insert them you just poke a small hold in them and then stick it up there close to the cervix. Doesn't hurt at all. I did it at bed time and slept with a towel under me cause the pills devolve when they get moist. So the oil will flow right back out.

After 3 weeks post pegasus/ribivarin (48 weeks responder so far) still suffering with rash, body aches, migraines, insomnia. My energy level is improving but is not great.

What I have heard is that Pegasys has just one dosage because it has larger molecules than PegIntron and therefore mainly stays in your bloodstream while PegIntron with its smaller molecules can find its way where Pegasys can not. Every adult has the same amount of blood independant of body weight, and therefore everyone should have the same amount of Pegasys. One is also not to compare milligrams of Pegasys with milligrams of PegIntron. They are not the same.

Seeing that there not doing any more trials in my area for Sofosbuvir I am now looking at Faldaprevir.Is anyone on a current trial with that right now.Also if you failed treatment with Pegasus,Riba and telaprevir would I still be able to do it?

Which one would you all recommend she go on, the Incivek 12 weeks plus Pegasus 48 or the 44 weeks Victrelis plus Pegasus 48? I think the Incivek has a few more sides but a better success rate. Is that true. Do patients with a lot of Incivek sides normally improve after the 12 weeks? Any info to help in the choice would be great.

I am on vacation for 3 weeks now in Germany.I brought my ribavirine and interferon with me and stored my interferon in the fridge.Today i found out that the fridge is on average 10 degrees Celsius where on the package it says it should be stored at between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. Did i inject my self for three weeks with interferon that didnt work??What should i do with the one injection i still have in this fridge for the remainder of my vacation?? Is 10 degrees really to high??

Now, I am embracing the fact that the TX is defeating a destructive virus that has been in my body for many decades. The change in disposition helps a lot. We will all be pulling for you. Be proactive in dealing with the SX's as they come up. Hope you can find some way to have a bit of time off to adjust to this TX.
