Alot of this sounds like anxiety combined with some Paxil w/d. How long and at what dose were you on with the Paxil? Are you tapering slowly?
The one thing that has me really concerned is the squeezing sensation, numbness and pain in your leg.
If this was just a case of neuropothy, like when your foot goes to sleep becuase you've compressed a nerve which in turn restricts the blood flow, walking should relieve it.

Now that your body no longer has the Paxil, it could be that your Metoprolol dose needs to be adjusted. I would discuss with your provider when you get dizzy, ie do you get dizzy when you stand up from sitting? Do you get dizzy when you go from laying down to sitting up? Or are you always dizzy? There are medications that require a prescription that can help with dizziness. Most doctors will prescribe Meclizine to combat dizziness. I have included some information regarding this medication.
I also decided to come off of Effexor, but my doctor didn't believe any of the massive amounts of information I got from reading forums of other people having the same withdrawal symptoms of it, so I am doing it on my own. I did a LOT of reading. (While I agree with the doctor that you can't always believe everything you read on the internet, hundreds of testimonials of saying the same things over and over can't all be wrong!
12 years ago there was a class action lawsuit do to the impossibility of getting off it without withdrawals that actually killed a few people. Please see a good psychiatrist to help you with this. There is a website on Paxil tapering... It may take a year but you have to see a doctor who knows about Paxil and ssri wd, not all drs are knowledgable in this.
That can probably be used with Paxil, but you have to be careful combining it with tranquilizers like Zanax and klonopin and valium. The amino acid taurine makes GABA in the body. You can take inositol but the studies that showed it working for anxiety used a lot! It's just part of the B complex, but be careful you keep up your levels of choline and phostatidyl serine, as they are in balance with inositol.

Then Christmas comes I get the flu and boom goes my anxiety so with the New Years thought it might be best to try this switch since everytime I was getting sick I was having to increase paxil dosage. So my schedule to get off paxil and onto lexapro is as follows. I am also taking a 1/2 pill of .5mg Ativan nightly to help me sleep.
Week 1 Paxil 30mg.
Week 2 Paxil 20mg. Lexapro 5mg.
Week 3 Paxil 10mg. Lexapro 10mg.
Week 4 Lexapro 10mg.
It felt like they were shocking my body. The only thing that is keeping me semi- functional is Benadryl. I take anywhere from 1-2 Benadryl a day to stop the shaking and panic. But I still have the nausea and of course, now I am tired all the time because the Benadryl makes me tired. I went to the ER and they ran a gambit of tests and said everything looked ok. Could I just now be going through withdrawal from the Effexor? If so, how long will this last? It is really affecting my life/career.
I have a tip that works wonders for my anxiety and panic attacks. I use liquid dye free benadryl. I have tried celexa, lexapro, zolaft, paxil, Prozac, wellbutrin, and trazadone. They all had side effects and some of them made it worse. I stop taking all of the meds because I found I did not need them all the time just at certain times of the month. The benadryl helps by calming me and it is much safer than any meds. I hope this helps you.
s just not mixing with the Paxil. I would rather deal with slight anxiety that what I am feeling now- it almost cost me my job. There should be more warnings about this. I didn't take the paxil today because I was scared, but becuase I got an anxiety attack over the suspention thing- I just took a xanex to calm me down. I haven't even been on the Paxil for 2 months, is it ok to just stop taking it?

Been drinking the last 10 years and trying to stop. My anxiety and depression are back along with stress. I took Prozac, generic, 20mg for just over 2 weeks. It did make me feel calmer and relaxed but had a hard time concentrating. My head felt numb. I then tried Zoloft but forgot why i did not like it. And recently was prescribed Paxil. 20mg. I suffer from panic attack and got imsonia my doctor give 50 mg of benadryl to sleep but she use to give 5mg so if safe for me to take 50 mg of benadryl to sleep.
FTM and 18yrs. 21 weeks. Do any other mommys take a benadryl before bed? My doctor told me id be fine to take one before bed everynight. I have restless leg syndrome and have a really hard time getting comftorable at night and falling/staying asleep. I was just wondering if i'm the only one that does this? It helps me a lot.
My dr said I could take Benadryl for my allergies. I haven't yet but I'm considering it tonight because I'm so miserable and I know it would help a lot and I could get a good night sleep. Has anyone else taken it while pregnant. I'm absolutely sure my dr wouldn't have said it was ok if it were the slighted bit questionable but im still hesitant.
