paxil in dogs

well I am weening off or the bup. down to 75 will quit this week On 40 Paxil and 100 lamictal. Klonopin only when I need which I haven't in the last few days. so it looks like the paxil is kicking in, BUT I don"t like what I have read about Paxil.

Has anyone felt success at fight against depression? I am/was a very depressed person. I was having constant worry and panic attacks. I then went on Paxil for 6 years. I went off of Paxil in the end of 2008. Now I've come out of the closet and have somewhat enjoyed the roller coaster of life and actually enjoy little tinges of success. Now I'm trying to figure out how to make feeling successful a more common experience in my life. Does anyone follow?

Some of this (benedryl) was recommended by a breeder, she said it works really well in SOME dogs, and it did in the case of my yorkie.

I have tried Prilosec reglan Zantac Zyrtec At one point was out back on Paxil then tried Lexapro. This began again 2 weeks ago and I have lost 16 lbs with no appetite and inability to eat a whole meal. I go to bed fearing that the cycle will return again every morning and sure enough it does. I have considered going back on Lexapro or paxil so I can maybe eliminate the anxiety It feels like I have awful epigastric pain that awakens me with the trembling usually around 3am.

This is my first time to post on the internet asking for help so this is kind of strange for me. I've had anxiety since I can remember in kindergarten and it's only gotten worse with the years. Hi, I have very very reluctantly gone on a low dose of Paxil 5mg per day due to anxiety, panic and agoraphobia. I made this decision after trying 'everything' natural and nothing really making enough difference, the years are going by and I'm geting used to this 'small' world, well had to do something. Dont let your dogs be too close to the baby and dont leave your dogs alone with your baby. Get your dogs in a good consistent routine of feeding, exercising, and down time. That will help them adjust to when your baby is here and you wont have all time to focus on them.

The doctor thought I may not have enough Paxil in my system so he put me on 25mg Paxil CR twice daily and it made me feel even worse. I felt like I had the flu and very achy. Very bad withdrawal effects. I was then put on regular paxil 40 mg daily and I constantly had the eye zaps and strong depersonalization feelings like I was in a constant withdrawal. I was then switched to Lexapro 20 mg.

After reading the book, IBS for Dummies, I am sure this is what is going on with me and it all started with the paxil withdrawal. And no, my doctor never warned me about any of it. In fact, my primary care doc didn't think much of me reading this book. I have gotten a lot of info from this book and it seems to be helping.

One day I started to feel like I was drunk but in a way I didn´t enjoy, the pulse was very high and pounding, an extreme restlessness and fever among other things. Then I discoverd that I had been taking a lower dose of Paxil for some time. As far as I can tell I had some degree of serotonin syndrome and now I'm a bit worried.

paxil withdrawal... from 20 mg to 5mg in 9 weeks. going okay except for shoulder and hip joints aches. Is this pain something I can attribute to the paxil withdrawal?

Resting HR is 55-65, the kids come in our room, tv goes on, dogs are bugging me to go outside to go potty - in no time my HR is up to 90-100 and sometimes I feel a little jittery. By 8am I'm in my office doing some work and my HR drops back down to 65-80. Basically, the hair follicles get clogged and the tiny sebaceous glands underneath can't drain properly which results in a pimple or cyst. Think of it along the lines of humans with certain kinds of acne. Like humans, some dogs just produce more oil in their skin, and there's not much to be done for it.

I was reading on the net that dogs do not have epilepsy, it is strictly a human condition. I want to believe my vet but.... Will you please explain to me what causes seizures in dogs and what I can di to prevent it?

Can this be from the medication or is she in pain? The vet thinks she may have brain tumor, and I want to make sure she is not in pain.

Babies are strange to dogs and they move differently, which can startle dogs. I have a Great Dane and a little girl who is turning 3 in May. He has always been wonderful with her but they have never ever been left alone. I just won't take the chance with my daughter and I refuse to put my dog in that position. It takes extra diligence that's for sure but can be accomplished without issues.
