paxil and unisom

Without that I would be up all night long. My doctor prescribed me paxil for my anxiety and depression and i take two ativan before bed. that still does not work, i also take a unisom (sleeping pill) along with a tablet of meleton one hour before bed. Then I sleep, but why do I need all this to just sleep? Can someone tell me why I cannot sleep normally?

ve been taking 10 mg paxil and 0.25 xanax, everyday for two years in the morning at 1040 and 540 then paxil 10 mg at night. If i stop taking the xanax i feel wierd. i read the withdrawl am so scared. I rather take paxil than xanax. I want to at least get off xanax but don't want withdrawls. what should I do? I think am addicted to them.

My doctor had me on 1 pill of each every night and then 1 b6 in the morning. Some nights I would skip the unisom if I had to be up early and the b6 did not work by itself a for me.

I have a bottle of Unisom and the ingredient states it contains Diphenhydramine (An Antihistamine) not Doxylamine.

My Dr recommended using over the counter unisom tabs and they definitely help me. At almost 26 weeks I can already never get comfortable..

I know that I was in the hospital, for kidney stones when I was pregnant with my daughter and one night they asked if I needed help sleeping and I said yes and they gave me Ambien....I didn't think about it until after I had taken it and I was like what?! a sleep-aid?! and then I was asleep and didn't budge until the next morning, lol. I know of at least 2 other women that were prescribed Ambien during pregnancy for OCCASIONAL sleepless nights...maybe you could look into that?

its best to take them right before you go to bed..like..25-30 mins..it works like a charm...i still take them every now and then..and im 39 weeks..baby will be fine..

I do not take any drugs whatsoever. I do take unisom and walsom generic walgreens. I had a urine test for a clinical trial study and the results showed up for ativan or xanax as a false positive. My dr said this is common with unisom. So yes it can show up. If they are sending off to lab it will show it was a false positive.

My Dr. said to take Unisom to help relieve some of the nausea. I have been really sick. Very close to going to hospital. I am on Zofran, Prima Bella and B6. I have not slept in weeks. Dr. Suggested 1/2 of one. Does it really help? I need to sleep and feel well, my whole family is suffering.

Unisom is safe to take during pregnancy-it is actually recommended in combination with B6 for nausea and vomiting!

Ok so I have bipolar disorder and panic disorder and I take seraquel and lexapro. I am on medicaid now and I can't find a psychiatrist. I recently ran out of meds and found out that I am sleep dependent on the seraquel. My obgyn suggested unisom for sleep but its not helping!!! How much is safe to take? I want to know if I can take 2 since 1 doesnt work. Please help I haven't slept in days!!!

Other than unisom you can take benadryl or any of a number of antinausea meds you can take 1/2 of one and see if it helps you sleep and if it doesn't you can try 1 as long as your dr ok's it. talk to your dr about phenergan for nausea. You can also get phenergan suppositories if you can't physically keep the med down. B6 never worked for me, if you can't take your vitamins try flinstones gummies, they're better than nothing.

I've had the worse insomnia. My dr prescribed unisom to help me and although it's doctor prescribed I still get paranoid about taking medication. Has anyone taking this as a sleep aid during pregnancy and had any crazy safe effects, issues or complications???

Hi and hope you sleep well. Just don't make a habit of taking unisom to fall asleep, as it is an antihistamine it can cause dryness of the throat and with long term use you may develop tolerance. Regards.

No on the Unisom...I used benadryl (diphenhydramine) , melatonin, and sleepytime tea (celestial seasonings) and had pretty good luck. Some advocate Valerian root and Kava Kava for the herb store....

Anyone take unisom for morning sickness? I called my dr because I've been so sick and need something to help. She said she wanted me to try the unisom before she calls in a script. Anyone have any luck with it?

so I started taking unisom and B6 for n/v per my ob gyn. It seems to work so far but I am really sensitive to meds and half a unisom tab is making is so tired. Anyone have success controlling the nausea with a fourth of the tablet?

Hello. It's my first pregnancy and I'm at the beginning of 11 weeks. I've been getting worse and worse nausea and vomiting by the day. I can't sleep at night, now I've lost my appetite, and all I do is vomit or feel nausea. It's so bad I've had to leave work. Is anyone else going through the same morning sickness/sleep and eating problems? My friend is due a day before me and she hasn't even vomited once.

Having horrible time sleeping, doctor recommended unisom... I go to bed at normal time and wake up around midnight and can't sleep, I've tried staying up later being more active etc I always wake up which means I'm always exhausted. 22 weeks preggo.

t taken melatonin while pregnant, but you can take unisom (diphenhydramine is the active ingredient and it is safe), tylenol pm, or benadryl for insomnia. I took unisom with my zofran because it was the only combination that worked for my hyperemesis, and it helped me sleep.

Hello everyone, I'm looking for help and hope! I have been on lexapro and saphris for about 9 months, and was on paxil for about a year before that. I have always had insomnia with ssri's so that is why I take the Saphris....usually a 1/4 of a 5 mg tablet would put me to sleep within a 1/2 hour or so. I recently slowly weaned off lexapro over the last month, but when I got down to nothing I started having horrible insomnia (even with the Saphris).

I take paxil 25 cr now and it is working pretty good. My doc upped me to 37.5 and I noticed no difference either so went back down to 25 without a problem. I think as long as you are taking paxil going down on dose is not an issue, it's if you go off all at once but my son who is 14 and has just developed panic attacks was put on zoloft 50 mgs and it has helped him. I took zoloft first but gave me gastro problems so doc wanted me to switch.

Yes I've heard the vitamin b6 and unisom help and it did. Just wondering if it worked for some and then stopped working?
