paxil and ultram

my daughter is very anxious so the dr put her on both the cymbalta 30 mg with the paxil of 20 for one week and then 15 paxel for another week and then 10 paxil and increase to 60 cymbalta. she had a brain trauma in a car accident and has to deal with alot so is this too much. she had a seizure on the ultram but she took too many at one time for a headache..

i understand that it is much harder to get off paxil if i stay on that. i see dr. tomorrow and i want to stay on effexor and klonopin. paxil scares me. eventually maybe in 6 mos i will be healthy and past smoking and i dont want to be stuck on meds for years. had dep 7 yrs ago but not panic attacks. am drinking lots of water.

Ultram Effed me up i was told it was non narcotic so non addicting. Ha i had no idea what i was doing to myself untill i stopped taking them...Wow that was hell the withdrawls were bad physically but mentally worse because of the antidepressant thats in them. That drug is bad news.

If your doctor is not 100% sure, ask him to please read up on it. Some drugs can be fatal to mix, i.e. Ultram (Tramadol) and SSRI’s like Paxil, Zoloft, etc. All drugs mentioned here can easily be googled for detailed information.

Ultram is nothing more than the Brand name for Tramadol and Ultram ER is a timed release of Tramadol. Ultracet is merely Tramdol and Tylenol in the same pill.

Has anyone taken cymbalta for FM? my dr wants me to try it was wondering about any experiences. she was not big on lyrica but would have given it to me to try if i wanted. i usually take flexeril and ultram. i'm a lil leary of an antidrepressent b/c i was on paxil and had suicidal issues with that.

The itch got real bad after stopping the Ultram and I would assume it was because it is an analgesic and was masking the itch.

I just read someone was getting off of vic and ultram. My doc just gave me Ultram I take oxy now and am trying to start a tapper off plan. Anyway I did not know ultram was also something you can get hooked on. He told me to take 4 50mgs a day. Also to take my oxy 5 times I take the 20'mgs. I am going to start to tapper tom a.m. I dont want to take the ultram if I can get hooked on it also. Please help!! I don't know weather to take it or not.

The pharmacist told me that you are at a higher risk of seizure and serotonin sydrome if you take ultram and a SSRI and commented about wondering why the doctor prescribed it. My NEW doctor today told me there is no way you should use them both, and told me to ditch (flush) the ultram and that someone on an SSRI or SSNI should in no way be taking that medication with ultram or ultracet. I flushed mine down the toilet today.

I have been taking 200 mg of Ultram for 6 months for herniated discs and leg pain. I was under the impression that they were a non-narcotic pain reliever and weren't addictive. However, I found out I'm pregnant last week so I discontinued the medication. This caused me to experience severe withdrawal symptoms along with the back pain. I was concerned the withdrawal would cause a miscarriage so I continued to take them at half the usual dose.

I did go through physical wd as I was on Xanax, Buspar, Paxil and Ultram. Paxil and ultram I was on the least bit of time. Ultram was perscribed to me for Severe headaches. I have and had a whole refill at my will when I decided I wanted to stop. Not taking away from anyone on here. Was just looking for people whi were informed on the after math of wd and seizures. I honostly don't feel like I need/want those meds any more.

good drug and bad drug both are addictive. Hrdo gives more pain releif with less bad effects but both have them. Tramadol ultram is just no good.

I took Ultram for a while and getting off of the medication was horrible....I have chills and sweating, restless legs and creepy crawlies...I could not concentrate and my heart was pounding in my chest for 4 days stright...It was the worst...If you can talk to your doctor before taking this medicine...espically the er ultram....It is highly addictive and despite what people say it is hard to get off of.

Thank you from your input. I am 32 weeks today and I have taken ultram the entire time. She seems to be fine and every doctor visit has been perfect. He says everything will be fine but this is my frist child and I am getting closer to my due date and I have heard things (online) about baby's being born with seizures from Ultram and withdrawls. I have only taken 50mg a day with this baby. Should I try and stop prior to my due date to avoid withdrawl or seizures?

no more withdrawal. There is one concern...my doctor gave me ultram 2 months ago, and after checking on this drug, I've read that you don't give ultram to anyone after addiction to drugs like morphine. Today is Tuesday, and I took my last 4 last Sunday. Now, I'm afraid I'll have more withdrawal systems. I have no craving for any type of drug now, but I'll never take any chances again. Anyone out there have any thoughts on this? Should I worry?

I tried that once and basically quit except for the shocks and I found paxil or any ssri would help when i had quit while taking vico's but then i seized a few times and got scared I was dying. How can I stop? Will ultra rapid detox work on this ? Has anyone done it? signed Tired of living the lie....

watch out for the ultram, it is very addicting and the w/ds are bad from those too. take a look in the health pages to the right, there are some really good tips for w/ds. you will find the thomas recipe and the aminos protocols..they help alot. keep posting it helps too...also get exercise it is the best thing i did. start with just walking a short distance and build up...you will be amazed...

I take paxil 25 cr now and it is working pretty good. My doc upped me to 37.5 and I noticed no difference either so went back down to 25 without a problem. I think as long as you are taking paxil going down on dose is not an issue, it's if you go off all at once but my son who is 14 and has just developed panic attacks was put on zoloft 50 mgs and it has helped him. I took zoloft first but gave me gastro problems so doc wanted me to switch.

My husband and I are trying to have kids. From the research online I found out that paxil changes sperm DNA that reduces permeability and as a result reduces the chance for pregnancy.
