Avatar m tn You can check the manufacturer's side effects on the drug's site, or ask your pharmacist, or prescriber.
Avatar n tn I also, recently, have been experiencing the sweating of the face, head and neck. I take Paxil (40mg) once a day and at bed time along with a water pill, Hydrochlorothiazide (25mg). During the day if I exert myself, even the smallest amount, I'm wringing wet. Its disgusting! Unfortunately, it IS a side effect of the Paxil. I was on Effexor from 1987-2001.
Avatar n tn The problem is the Cymbalta was better with my depression but seems to increase my anxiety and cause me excessive sweating, esp in social situations. Does the sweating sound like a common side effect for SNRI?
Avatar n tn ve taken lexapro and paxil before. The lexapro gave me bad headaches and the paxil seemed to make me sweat more.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else taking Fluoxetine (similar to Prozac) experienced side effects? I have noticed some odd changes in the way my body responds to exercise; specifically, excessive sweating. I'm not sure if the medication is directly linked, but in the past year (I have been taking the drug for about 2.5 years) I break into an all over the body sweat very easily, and it has happened even when I'm not exercising.
Avatar n tn I did some basic Google searching, and the Paxil website does list sweating, dizziness and nervousness as possible side effects, so perhaps you were just suffering Paxil effects, not blood-sugar effects. If you want to go back on the Paxil for the vertigo, ask your specialist about these side effects and your pre-diabetes state. Only he/she would be qualified to properly figure that out. Good luck with it all.
Avatar m tn I'm 64, retired and I've just had a quick medical prior to recommencing rowing for the new season. I've rowed 3 times/week for the last 2 years and on and off all my life before that. I'm 6'2" and 235lbs (1.88m and 107kg) and my heart beat is 54 and my blood pressure is 125/75 - which I'm happy with. The trouble is it doesn't take much to make me perspire.. Is this an overweight issue or something else?
Avatar n tn I have had CHF and there is no sweating involved, and I have researched the subject and answered the question several times in the past...its a matter of confusing HA and HF.. It can be explained and there has been a study done on the subject. The study was whether either sweating or skin/blood responses would be impaired in heart failure patients. It was found that for the same level of internal temperature, the heart failure patient does not dilate blood vessels of the skin as much.
Avatar m tn Like others I was at Kroger and had spell was sweating furiously and everyone was avoiding me like they thought I had flu or something. 1947337 tn?1331423890 As most of you know, I had my surgery on 3/6 and am doing ok..but, my question is about my son. I know that in some cases CM can be passed on to your children. My 18 yr old has an interview for a job that requires him to wear a suit and he is so scared to go because he sweats so much. He has always been that way but I never thought a whole lot about it. Just thought he was a teenage boy.

Avatar m tn how to handle it/? every time i go out i have excessive sweating. i feel nervous i think. what should i do?
Avatar n tn I am 35 years old and for the past year any little thing I do I start sweating to the point where the hair on my head and face are litlerally dripping with sweat. It looks like I just got out of the shower. I am wondering if I have hormone issues. I go to my GYN in 2 weeks for my yearly exam and I am going to request he do some hormone panels on me. My mom and grandma swear I am going through menopause already.
Avatar m tn Playing for 3 hours non-stop is a little excessive and can cause excessive sweating caused by ketosis if you have a fast metabolism like me (not eating enough carbs) and that isn't a good thing. If you are healthy, there really shouldn't be a terrible smell to your sweat. The smells are toxins being released, which is good, but if you sweat regularily, keep well hydrated and eat properly, you shouldn't smell bad when you sweat at all.
Avatar m tn for yrs I had the opposite issue...no sweating...but, I did have an increase...and it was usually if I was cold...I would sweat profusely under my arms.......I have no idea why this was going on, but this is changing since surgery..... Good luck in June, know we will keep u in our prayers.
Avatar m tn I had been using old spice gel before. And ever since then I have been sweating much much more. Until now I had never had sweat drip down my arms (except for long periods of physical exercise). But know when I am sitting in my house with a tee-shirt on I have sweat dripping down my arms. I have stopped the deodorant, but the sweating is not going away. Other than changing deodorant nothing in my life had changed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Avatar n tn does your thyroid cause excessive sweating? is there a test that will tell what the problem is? i have suffered from this problem for two years and i need help. This discussion is related to <a href='/posts/show/262762'>thyroid disorder and abnormal body temperature</a>.
1444606 tn?1284399329 You could have a blood test done to have your thyroid function checked.
9843818 tn?1406976821 Because I take my medicine only as prescribed-could it be adding to my problem of excessive sweating? I have been on this med for 19 months and just started with the sweating in May 2014. I welcome your feedback and thank you in advance.
150937 tn?1235943880 This has just begun happening, and I was wondering if any of you have ever experienced it, and what to do about it? I am 34 years old, and I have a thyroid problem, but it is an underactive one..so with that you usually get COLD..not hot??? Any ideas would be welcomed.
Avatar f tn Certain Dri sounds alot like that Dictorol that i have already tried, the itchyness drove me bonkers and was too much to handle. I was also gave a talc which is for excessive sweating but that did nothing at all. Thanks again for your help!
Avatar n tn Can you please give us more information to better answer your question? Have you been diagnosed with anxiety, are you male or female? I'm asking that question because if you're a female there could be a hormonal imbalance or menopause. If you have anxiety that may be the cause of your sweating. Also, if you're on meds like and antidepressant sweating could be a possible side effect.
Avatar m tn dude is ter any treatment for xcssive palm nd feet sweating?driclor dryrol or odaban which is better?
Avatar f tn I was on Paxil and Propanolol and my Dr. Took mee off Paxil due to possible interactions. Not on anything for depression now but I am waiting to be put on one.Can&#39;t take SSRI anyone have any suggestions.
Avatar n tn Keep in mind that Paxil can be one of the more difficult to quit, so make sure he takes it slowly. Fatigue with Paxil usually goes away with time, but the interrupted sleep may be due to the fact that Paxil does cause some personality changes, such as angry or obsessive thoughts. Sweating is common, actually more common even with Lexapro. I did take Prozac, but it did nothing for me, so I got no side effects.
Avatar n tn I was attracted to this string because of its title, "Hypothyroidism and excessive sweating." While I appreciate all the time folks have taken commenting on this subject, I can't follow all that has been written. Can/will anyone address, in simple language, the following: Most of the information regarding thyroid trouble indicates that sweating can accompany hyperthyroidism and sensitivity to cold goes with hypothyroidism.
Avatar n tn I am suffering from excessive heat and sweating problem form last 6 yrs, due to which I am unable to socially mix with people. My face is always wet and I feel very nervous due to it.
