Paxil and energy

Common Questions and Answers about Paxil and energy

paxil

Avatar f tn I'm tapering from suboxone and these are my biggest issues: no energy and crazy anxiety/ irritability but I also wanted to post this question because of how many other people I see on here struggling with the same thing. I've been told by the dr that exercise will help but omg it's so hard! I'm also taking a good vitamin supp for energy which seems to help some.
Avatar n tn I also had headaches (not anymore) intense anxiety for moments and muscle pain (on back and and abdomen) because I am very tense all the time. Yesterday was the worse of all. Horrible. The nausea was absolutely horrible, and I was so anxious that I felt like I was going to get crazy. And I am afraid that this is just starting. I took 10 mg of Paxil cause I couldn`t stand it anymore. My questions are: *Did I stop taking the Paxil very fast?
Avatar f tn Recently came off of Paxil and had terrible withdrawl symptons doing so. My doc put my on Remeron which helped tremedously getting me off Paxil. Now about to go on Prozac (was on this back in 94 and it was a miracle drug for me) My doctor is going to keep me on a low dose of Remeron for about 3 weeks to help with an side effects from my body geeting use to theProzac anyone else been on both of these meds at the same time?
Avatar f tn I am currently taking 40 mg of Paxil for anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. My doctor has suggested we try to add a low dose of Wellbutrin to this. What can I expect from this combo? I have never taken wellbutrin before.
Avatar f tn m sure you know that) I finally found a new drug called Fetzima and its for depression and anxiety! You have lots of energy too! I took prozac for many years and then it just didn't work, so I'm very excited about Fetzima!! It's for major depression! Hope to hear back from you, and don't give up!
Avatar n tn And Paxil gives more people a rough time upon stopping than any other antidepressant other than Effexor (and, ahem, Cymbalta). Your friend should have been tapered off the Paxil, and maybe was, but if not, and even if your friend was, there's a lot going on now possibly, too much for us to say which is which.
Avatar n tn I was suffering from Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia. I was on 25mg of Paxil CR for 2 years and my dose was lowered a few months ago to 12.5mg a day. I have started to have some panic attacks... few and far between, but I got so used to not having any attacks and living a more normal life. I really don't want to go back up to 25mg of Paxil - I gained 40 pounds in less than 6 months and have gained a total of 55 pounds now.
Avatar f tn Yes, and thanks for the welcoming. I've been on paxil for a few years and it's worked wonders for me. I'm only on 15 mgs per day (20 was too emotionally numbing so I take one and a half) - but that 15mgs allows me to stay in control of my emotions. It helps me with anxiety, and I'm pretty sure I have/had PMDD which it helps emotionally with. That being said, I'm stable on them, but have had trouble with fatigue for too long to remember. I think the Dr.
Avatar n tn I have been on 20 mg paxil for panic attacks for 7 years, I've tried to wean from paxil(felt like had no energy on paxil) many times, unsuccessfully. I've recently switched to 20 mg prozac, without a taper. After about 5 weeks, I started to feel lousey-nausea, diarrhea, no appetite, depressed. Still feeling lousey. Would it likely be better to increase prozac, or switch back to paxil. If switching back to paxil, what are the best ways to do this.
Avatar f tn Only a week has passed and i am starting to feel slight relief from the depression but the debilitating fatigue and low energy has not changed a bit and I am pretty much still non-functional and worried. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn s plan was when you stopped the Concerta completely? Were you going to try another medication to help improve your energy or switch from the Paxil to another antidepressent? There are many more medications to help with fatigue-not just the ADHD medications such as Concerta, but medications that aren't psych meds as well.
Avatar f tn You could also try learning to meditate -- when I could still focus and do my TM it gave me a lot of energy without having to take things that can make anxious people more anxious. But you're right, everyone is different -- some people get sedated, some get overstimulated by the same drug.
763297 tn?1281379425 In fact I used paxil to quit smoking. Xanax and paxil together may be your issue. Check with your pharmacist about the combination of them together. I take paxil at night before I go to bed. The tiredness was bad in the beginning but not so much now. I have noticed when I forgot to take a pill or two, the anger and edginess would show up. If going off of these, you must do it slowly. And with the help of a physician or you will be in wd's in a few days, as you know.
Avatar f tn i was taking paxil 20mg but i felt even more depressed and now im taking celexa for the first 3 days i felt like i wsa having more panic attacks.. ive been taking xanax here and there and i feel just fine but i dont want to take these pills they just make me feel worse. I have 2 toddlers and they just tire me down they have alot of energy..thats part of my anxiety..i just try to keep busy..
Avatar m tn I was on Paxil a long time ago and it did nothing for me. From what he said, this is nothing like Paxil but more like Effexor. Also said it might help with the lack of energy. So my question to everyone is...has anyone taken it. Successsfull? Hope every one is well.
Avatar m tn Oh the Wellbutrin is helping with my energy levels but, I'm still having a hard time concentrating and Paxil seemed to help with my anxiety and for some reason it helped me to focus better. I have an appointment to see my doctor Thursday and we both talked about going back to the beginning and really evaluating what medications were the best. I need to work on finding a way to keep my energy levels up and while dealing with all of these issues.
944223 tn?1245869858 Dear men and women.I am a 27 year old male diagnosed with ADHD twice at two different hospitals. I went to hospitals because I knew I had some issue when I would lash out at people due to my impatientness among other things I knew really weren't me. I waited awhile because I wasnt sure if it was ptsd or not.But looking back, and having my Gifted/Talented teacher tell me i was the same in elementary, i knew it may have been add/adhd.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the link and the info, should I get it at WalMart or a health food store, or does it matter?
Avatar n tn I take paxil 25 cr now and it is working pretty good. My doc upped me to 37.5 and I noticed no difference either so went back down to 25 without a problem. I think as long as you are taking paxil going down on dose is not an issue, it's if you go off all at once but my son who is 14 and has just developed panic attacks was put on zoloft 50 mgs and it has helped him. I took zoloft first but gave me gastro problems so doc wanted me to switch.
Avatar f tn My husband and I are trying to have kids. We have been trying for only a few month, however, we are not young anymore (35) and I don't want to wait a year before consulting with a doctor (as it usually recommended). So here is my question: My husband has been taking paxil for the past 13 years (10mg). From the research online I found out that paxil changes sperm DNA that reduces permeability and as a result reduces the chance for pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I take these two meds, why?
Avatar m tn i am currently on 10mg/day of Generic Paxil for anxiety, depression, and OCD. i wish to supplement with 5-HTP, SAMe, GABA, and inositol. should i wean myself off paxil first? if so, how should i do that? or can i combine the Paxil with 1 or more of these supplemtns at the same time? if so, how should i do that? could i take Paxil 1 day, then supplements the next day (w/o Paxil), etc.
445725 tn?1206388767 The first three or four days I took Paxil I felt a huge difference in my mood and anxiety. I didn't stress eat and I slept so well. Now I'm in the 3rd week and I'm finding myself eating mindlessly again and last night I had too much nervous energy. What gives? I thought this stuff really started working AFTER the third week.
Avatar f tn On Paxil, I did confront those things, and moved on. However, once I confronted and moved on, I had to reevaluate my situation and regain what I lost in the first place. For me, I tackled something very painful in my past, but I was also numb to those feelings that I needed to progress into the future. That's when I decided to go off of Paxil. I had to reach in and feel those feelings that occurred in the past, that would propel me into the future. And I think I found them.
