Has anyone been perscribed Paroxetine for their neuropothy symptoms? I saw my physiatrist last week for the increasing pain I am having related to my syrinx. He advised me to check back in with my NS, and gave me a script for Cymbalta. Apparently, this anti-depressant also works on nerves. I'm definitely not a depressed person - so I had my reservations for Cymbalta, but the pharmacist re-assured me that my dr prescribed it for neuro issues.
I have been on Paroxetine for 10 years on and off and whenever I have a question about any medications that I can safely take I call the pharmacist and they are good about answering my guestions.Good luck!!
Hello. I've recently been changed from Paroxetine to Zoloft as am looking to try for a baby and this is supposed to be 'safer'. My doctor has changed me over gradually. I took Paroxetine 20mg for 2 weeks plus Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg, then went to Paroxetine 10mg and Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg and 2 days ago I've stopped Paroxetine altogether and am now just on Zoloft 50mg...I'm off work today as I'm so depressed. All I want to do is cry and lay in bed.
Different people have very different reactions, and we also have different reactions to different meds. Some we find easy to stop taking and some impossible. The longer you're on a med and the better it works, meaning you're absorbing it quite well, the harder it is to stop.
I had a severe allergic reaction to Citalapram and was taken off and had to wait for my appointment with the psychiatrist which was a week and a half ago. He perscription for Buspirone and Paroxetine. I didn't start taking the medicine right off the bat because of fear that i was going to have another bad reaction and ended up having another attack last night. I started taking the Buspirone this afternoon and was wondering how i should take it and the Paroxetine.

yes i am on paroxetine 2 days and experiencing diarrhea , paroxetine 12.5 and clonazepan 0.25 combined ... i have been on clonazepan for past 4 yrs .. just hope this time medicine works ... and this is the last time i am trusting any psychiatrist !!
I could be wrong. Does anyone else take Paroxetine (Generic for Paxil) and does it help you with the MS pains? I took Paroxetine before and switched. I think had I been on a higher dose I would have done better on it. Instead, my PCP switched me to Welbutrin (I call it Hellbutrin because it made me CRAZY!!!!!) Any of your opinions will be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!
Combining fluoxetine or paroxetine with phenytoin can also lead to increased phenytoin side effects and reduce blood levels of paroxetine.

I am on 20mg paroxetine at the moment i have been on it for 7 years, I was off it for 6 months and after 3 months of that time i went straight back into severe health anxiety.
I was trying for a bay, that's why i came off.
I know i will want to try again in the future can anyone tell me if they have had babies on anti depressants ? what type as mine is an ssri and works perfectly! was their baby healthy also did you need to go for extra scans and check ups.
So I have been taking Paroxetine(Paxil) for 4 months now and it changed my life, took away my O.C.D. and my social anxiety. But i had side effects so i started taking Bupropion(wellbutrin) So after 1 days dose which was 1 pill twice a day, I had my O.C.D. back about half as bad and my social axiety came back about half as bad. So i stopped taking the Bupropion and i am still taking the Paroxetine but it's not working as well as it did before.
I was also reading the papers that came with the meds and it says Paroxetine is an anti-depressant and buspirion is an anti-anxiety pill.. I think ill just take both. I hope I turn out ok. Anxiety is a serious issue. I was so outgoing, fun and really cool guy tot talk too. Now I'm always thinking before I say ANYTHING! I just hope this works.

I was given Paroxetine for depression/anxiety over a year ago. I didn't take it however. Tried talk therapy for 6 weeks instead. I feel now, however, that I need to go on meds. I was just wondering if someone can tell me what to expect after taking paroxetine. Does it really work? How long does it take it to work? And are there any noticeable changes at all the first few weeks. Before, I did take one pill when I was given the meds.
My wife had BC, she has already had the chemo and surgery and is now on the part of the treatment focused on preventing recurrence (herceptin and tamoxifen). She had been taking paroxetine for the last two years. I've been on Paxil, i.e. Paroxetine for about 6 years now. I ran out about 5 days ago. As has happened in the past after quitting Paxil my sleep is interrupted with such stressful nightmares. Hi, I just need a bit of advice. My meds are 30mgs Remeron, 30mgs Paroxetine 150mgs WellbutrinSR and
300mgs Lithium. The Wellbutrin and the Lithium are 3x daily.
My question is how can I get over the severe fatigue I experience one to two hours after taking the morning dose?
I'm open to all suggestions.
Right now in my armory is gum, small pieces of dark chocolate and laying down for about 5minutes-cuz I'm restless and need to get things done.
Also, it sounds like you are certain that you have anxiety and depression, and that is what the paroxetine is for. And paroxetine does not particularly have a reputation for keeping people awake at night, at least not that I have ever heard of. So I don't know about getting off paroxetine and staying on the amphetamine, when you're not sure you even have ADHD, and amphetamines are well known for causing insomnia.
Hi my doctor prescribed paroxetine hcl but i hate taking peels has anyone been on these , does it work?
I was taking 3mg a day for about one year until i found out i was pregnant, i was also taking a fairly low dose of paroxetine. I found out i was pregnant very early in the peace, at about 2/3 weeks. I immediately stopped taking the paroxetine and as soon as i was free from the withdrawal effects of that i worked on getting off the xanax. This has proven to be very difficult! within 2 weeks i went from 3mgs of xanax to .5mgs per day. I just couldnt get down any further.
