Ive been switched from Paroxetine to Zoloft as am looking to try for a baby and this is supposed to be 'safer'. My doctor has changed me over gradually. I took Paroxetine 20mg for 2 weeks plus Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg, then went to Paroxetine 10mg and Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg and 5 days ago I've stopped Paroxetine altogether and am now just on Zoloft 50mg...I've went to the doctors yesterday because I feel terrible terrible - headaches, feeling incredibly depressed and crazy!

The switch is not abrupt, she first reduced the dose of paroxetine and started with a low dose of the new drug for a while.

2 to 1 month for someone not being introduced with a new drug. Could be shorter for your husband.

So I have been taking Paroxetine(Paxil) for 4 months now and it changed my life, took away my O.C.D. and my social anxiety. But i had side effects so i started taking Bupropion(wellbutrin) So after 1 days dose which was 1 pill twice a day, I had my O.C.D. back about half as bad and my social axiety came back about half as bad. So i stopped taking the Bupropion and i am still taking the Paroxetine but it's not working as well as it did before.

THAT is when YOU would take your first dose. The second dose is normally scheduled for 12 hours later, which for YOU would be at 3a in the morning. Your Paroxetine has been prescribed to be taken at bedtime......which for YOU is around 6a in the morning, so that is when you should take it. These meds will work regardless of the times you take them, it has everything to do with taking them at the correct intervals.

Hello everyone, I have been suffering from anxiety and depression on and off for a few years now and have just got over my recent bout with the help of a small dose of paroxetine. I have had four months off work and decided to quit my last job and start a more low key job elsewhere. Hi, I just need a bit of advice. My meds are 30mgs Remeron, 30mgs Paroxetine 150mgs WellbutrinSR and 300mgs Lithium. The Wellbutrin and the Lithium are 3x daily. My question is how can I get over the severe fatigue I experience one to two hours after taking the morning dose? I'm open to all suggestions. Right now in my armory is gum, small pieces of dark chocolate and laying down for about 5minutes-cuz I'm restless and need to get things done.

I have been weaning off Paxil from Paxil CR 25 mg, now on Paxil 10 mg (to avoid withdrawal) because I have been on for probably 10 years now. Unfortunately, after about 3 weeks on the lower dose I feel my lack of motivation, melancholy feelings, being less able to handle frustration with work etc all coming back. Hi my doctor prescribed paroxetine hcl but i hate taking peels has anyone been on these , does it work?

My mother who is 79 years old, has severe arthritis and has dealt with anxiety for many years has been prescribed for sometime by her doctor to take 20 mg Paroxetine and 2 mg Alprazolam in the morning, 1 mg Alprazolam at lunch and 2 mg Alprazolam before bedtime. Paroxetine is the generic for Paxil and Alprazolam is the generic for Xanax. Is it normal to be taking Paxil and Xanax at the same time?

I still feel the electric shocks and muscle aches from the withdrawal of my previous antidepressant (paroxetine) and I started getting a pounding heartfrom the seroquel. I went to see my gp who reduced my seroquel to seroquel xl 50 mg and I am to go back in a week to her, while I do not see the psychiatrist again for 5 weeks. I am on Tecfidera 240 mg dose. It just occurred to me I missed the morning dose. I have a call into the specialty pharmacy for direction. I didn't find much on the web except "take it as soon as you remember and if close to your next dose take it then but don't double up". The reason my reaction was so severe could be because I had been on the Zoloft for 14 years and the doctor did not taper it down and started the Paroxetine at too high of a dose the very next day! How long have you been on this medicine?

I was on paroxetine for 6 years and stop it gradually with out any problems but i still have primary pe but very good erection after one year with out any drugs my doctor give me pristiq snri for pe i took one pill only it decrease my penile sensitivty and weak erection i stoped it iam 8days now and still weak erection and decrease lipido is this pssd? t know if you remember , but Six weeks after being jerked off of the Zoloft that I had been on for 14 years and abruptly switched to Paroxetine the next day without any taper, My vision went haywire and that was the start of this whole mess with me! I as much as anyone can really believe that SSRI's can have these kinds of effects!!! Did you discontinue the Cymbalta? If so how long have you been off of it?

I called my neurologist right away and told him to lower my dose. So he now has me on 10mg. And I am still tired. Not as much, but still tired. Also, it sounds like you are certain that you have anxiety and depression, and that is what the paroxetine is for. And paroxetine does not particularly have a reputation for keeping people awake at night, at least not that I have ever heard of. So I don't know about getting off paroxetine and staying on the amphetamine, when you're not sure you even have ADHD, and amphetamines are well known for causing insomnia.

ve been taken it since more than 5 years ago. I lower my intake to a half when I was taking a daily dose of 400 mg average but I think is too much to start. Two weeks ago I stupidly tried a bottle of DXM (the pure formula with no combinations) and I ended in the hospital with something close to a respiratory depression, tachycardia, high blood pressure and panic, I felt I was going to die.
