Yeah -- only take this or Effexor if you've tried absolutely everything else first and it didn't work. Very hard to stop taking, and once you're on it, it just seems to be stronger in its affinity for neurotransmitters making other meds harder to work if you have to stop taking it. Start elsewhere.

They keep the brain from being overwhelmed. But in the case of nerve damage or a nerve system malformation (Like Chiari or Fibromyelgia) they can help tremendously with chronic pain. I only know of Paroxetine and Cymbalta from what I've read, but to be honest, I think the risks of side-effects are pretty dangerous, I'd suggest you ask your doctor about Lyrica instead. Lyrica also can have side effects, but so can any drug.

Now she started to see the psychiatrist at the cancer centre (the one who routinely sees cancer patients) and the dr advised her to change the paroxetine for another antidepressant. She mentioned the study, but said that it was a bad study (not conclusive) but she prefers breast cancer patients not to take paroxetine just in case. The switch is not abrupt, she first reduced the dose of paroxetine and started with a low dose of the new drug for a while.

My Doctor put me on Remeron to help get me off of Paroxetine (Paxi) It really helped as I was having some bad withdrawl symptons from the Paroxetine. The biggest effect it had on me was that it let me sleep through the night instead of waking up in a panic at 3am.

Ive been switched from Paroxetine to Zoloft as am looking to try for a baby and this is supposed to be 'safer'. My doctor has changed me over gradually. I took Paroxetine 20mg for 2 weeks plus Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg, then went to Paroxetine 10mg and Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg and 5 days ago I've stopped Paroxetine altogether and am now just on Zoloft 50mg...I've went to the doctors yesterday because I feel terrible terrible - headaches, feeling incredibly depressed and crazy!

There was no way I was taking any more of that med. The bad thing was that me stopping the Paroxetine suddenly made me even sicker, because now there was three meds that I was having a withdrawal from. The Zoloft, the Xanax and the Paroxetine. But the doctor not listening to my complaints of vision distortion left me no choice in my mind, and to be honest, at that time, I didn't know any better.

So the doctor recommends the flu shot. Im 28 wks pregnant. Do you think its good or bad to get the shot?

im 39 weeks & 2 days. I'm 75% effaced and 1cm dilated. Is this good or bad? I expected to have dilated more.
