Ive been switched from Paroxetine to Zoloft as am looking to try for a baby and this is supposed to be 'safer'. My doctor has changed me over gradually. I took Paroxetine 20mg for 2 weeks plus Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg, then went to Paroxetine 10mg and Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg and 5 days ago I've stopped Paroxetine altogether and am now just on Zoloft 50mg...I've went to the doctors yesterday because I feel terrible terrible - headaches, feeling incredibly depressed and crazy!

I took Paroxetine 20mg for 2 weeks plus Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg, then went to Paroxetine 10mg and Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg and 2 days ago I've stopped Paroxetine altogether and am now just on Zoloft 50mg...I'm off work today as I'm so depressed. All I want to do is cry and lay in bed. How long does it take for Zoloft to kick in? I have been on it for 4 weeks now. ..shouldn't I be feeling better by now?

Zoloft (sertraline),, Celexa (Citalopram), and Lexapro (Escitalopram). Stay away from Paxil (Paroxetine) as that treatment has as much or more sweating than Prozac. Hope this helps...

I was on Sertraline for quite a while, and know that it can cause heart problems, and you have to be regularly checked. It did not cause me any problems in that way. I was then put on Effexor because I was told it had less side effects. It does however cause weight gain. It is difficult for you to know what to do. You can try the paroxetine and see how you go. I don't have any other suggestions.

Am currently on sertraline 100mg, which helps for anxiety and depression but not PE. Have tried start and stop technique's (edging) for about a year with no improvement. Myself and my partner do not have relationship problems, but she is not always supportive on the PE front, some of her comments have made the situation much worse What would you recommend?

Most of the people on this depression site take medication. You will find we are all on different anti-depressants. Have a read of some of the comments. My doc immediately prescribed me 20mg of Paroxetine and 10mg of Buspirone. He wanted to up my dosage to 25mg of Paroxetine and 15mg of Buspirone. I didn't want this however because I know there are some withdrawal problems with paxil. I'm just worried about taking these two medications together. Thanks.

The only thing that has worked was a combination of sertraline and bupropion, but I was told that the way I was feeling, I was in a hypo-manic state and that was not good for me. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do? I am tried of trying different medications and getting nowhere!

The switch is not abrupt, she first reduced the dose of paroxetine and started with a low dose of the new drug for a while.

So I consulted My psychiatrist. He stopped paxil and prescribed zoloft (sertraline) 150 mg a day. morning dose 50 mg and night dose 100 mg for 15 days. what will he prescribe after 15 days that's I don't know but I want to know that can suddenly dose be changed like this?

Hello everyone, three months ago I started with pgad, which is a condition that you feel unwanted sexual arousal, it is horrible, I couldn't even sleep, at some moments It goes away and others it will return. I went to more than 12 different doctors, anyone knew what was happening. I have ocd, this year is going to be my 5th year with ocd and with anxiety, with despersonalization and irreality.

I am currently taking sertraline for mood swings and have been taking it for about 5 years. I also have recently been put on topamax for migraines. I have read about all this wonderful weight loss. If anything I have gained. Could these 2 medicines together be holding me back from losing> I would like to go off of the sertraline.

My name is Amy and I'm 26 yrs old. I am trying to concieve and I'm presently not on any medications, however I used to take Lexapro and it works the best for me. I feel as though I'm in great need to be on it again but I am aware that the drug falls under a catagory C (to not take when pregnant) I dont want to put myself at harm so I need to know what anti- depresent to take that would not cause any birth defects or harm to the unborn child.

I am on 25mg sertraline, day 8 for anxiety and panic attacks - so far only really feeling the side effects and no real relief yet but am very hopeful given all the positive comments I've read online - if I can just last until it starts to kick in. Also hoping that I won't require a higher dosage.
